Paula - I read your post and felt relieved… cos I’m not the only one who just has to listen - and watch - Don and Phil every single day! Cos like you, I think they’re the most gorgeous, handsome, beautiful men with the most perfectly beautiful voices. I have to admit though that for me, Don has always been the one that really got to me… that baritone voice of his reaches down and grabs me! Oof! And that fabulous black hair… those dark eyes that sometimes gaze long and hard right down the camera in close-up though not so much in this particular video, unfortunately. But try the one on RUclips that’s labelled Everly Brothers “Price of Love” Medley - it should come with a health warning! Enjoy…

What a super posting! So grateful for this, I'm blown away by the footage. The Everly Brothers: never to be equalled for their perfect harmonies but so much fun in this too. I'm an Everly fan from England, their music coloured some of my most important years. Saw them whenever they toured UK, how lucky was I? Thank you so much.
For sure. His distinctive tenor harmonizing is what gives them their unique sound!! Impeccably well-executed harmony by both of them whether live or on records!! :) And Phil plays stand-up bass also?? Such talented pros!!
You will never hear harmonies like theirs again. I treasure the 2 concerts seen of theirs. They were never 'over the hill,' 'out of touch' or forgotten by millions who saw or heard them. I treasure these clips and thank those who put them up.
These wonders are the music I was born to! At the age of 8 I was figuring out how Phil did that "high singin'"... I am 56 years old was born in ' 66 ...I caught on to that high singin and been doing it since.. and they make me instantly happy from the first lick or riff! I guess that would make me a bit of an addict! They are gone now, sadly.. but I keep their music alive and will never have the words to express that learning these harmonies changed my life..I have been singing for 40 years in church.. and in a family band...simple music? Nope pure! These boys are timeless and my lullabies to my grandbabies sound real nice.. Dream..Ebony Eyes..thanks for this clip.. I too wish you'd seen them live on stage, I did whenever they toured England... always true to their recorded lyrics (we know the words so don't dare mess with them!) and polished performances, so perfect.
