Lex Luthor's gotta be one of my favorite comic book characters. He's just such a badass! And I think the fact that he's the archenemy of the comic book world's biggest superhero kind of says it all right there! :D
Luthor was the first person in all of fiction to use a nuclear weapon. In fact the U.S. war dept (allegedly) asked DC to put certain stories on the back burner for a time during WWII. Comics, always with their finger on the pulse.
I really wish people would stop mispronouncing his name. It's not "Lex Luther." It's "Luthor." Long "o" sound, thōr, like the god of thunder in those other comics.
This is the reason I use Lex Luthor as some that wants to wipe out everything that's more powerful than a normal person from entire Omniverse (other than he let his xenophobia overrides even his ability to found/join any supervillain teams. Let alone his willingness to have superpowers aside from his suit to level playing field between himself and supers at more efficient manner)
DC multiverse there are some Earths where Lex Luther is a really nice and chill guy instead of being a greedy sophathic evil bastard with very low morality.
Don't insult Luthor's intelligence with the lesser leaders of the world. If a Luthor existed, he would already control the world since we don't have a Justice League.
It wasn't just being uncomfortable with an alien. It was being uncomfortable with humanity's sudden complacency and willingness to accept such an alien as their "defender". In Lex's mind it goes something like this: This alien far surpasses all of us and humanity's greatest physical potentials, and it's benevolent. But what about the next one? What if there's another? What if he goes missing during a greater threat, or, even worse, is brainwashed into serving something which doesn't share his boy-scout tendencies?
Kerl, but deep down that is the excuse he tells himself, Batman is a big ball of paranoia and he trusts him (he has plans to take Superman down if needed and Superman trusts him for that task) If Lex really believed that Superman was a threat he would keep an eye on him and plan when Supes goes crazy or off planet. Lex is just really arrogant and prideful, he has to be the hero.
Actually lex was compatible with the everyman project, the inventor of it, lied to him cause he was afraid of lex getting superman type powers, he ended up offing himself with all his research to get rid of it and stop luthor from getting said powers
Superman could kill Lex "by farting in his general direction". I had to pause for several minutes because of laughing so hard. I normally don't like such humor, but that was too funny.
"Luthor cures cancer" was actually one of those "imaginary" stories. Superman did NOT come back from the dead. So Supergirl captured Luthor and then she took over for Superman.
It's not logical that Luthor would be permitted to live after his first act of mass murder. One person with a bullet could kill him. Heck, the mafia would kill him themselves, as he's as much a threat to them as anyone else....
