What Kenton is missing is that the game has changed with pay for play and the disadvantages that conferences would occur if competing against schools that can throw money at players and coaches as well as facilities. If the separation continues to become greater, then all conferences will only be feeder systems to the conferences with the most money.

It’s been reported that the members will not receive less than they currently make. ESPN is kicking in additional funds to distribute to the higher tv rated schools. It’s NOT the plan that was rejected by the members when an unequal revenue model was first introduced.

The obvious compromise solution is the ACC GOR ends in 2030 and NO unequal revenue sharing. The schools like WF who want this to continue until 2037 get certainly, the Miami’s get the opportunity to choose to stay or leave , and the FSU’s have certainty when they can leave. Sorry I disagree. Look at reality. The 3 schools that have the fan support and willingness to spend money to built a Championship caliber program are Clemson FSU and Louisville. BC Wake Syracuse etc are worth 9 million or AAC money without Clemson and FSU. You are better to calculate shares based on ticket sales and TV metric for football and Men’s BB. The next pot of money should based on finish in conference standings ACC championships and bowls CFP or NCAA/NIT tournaments. Last pot of money can be equal say the 8-9 million base. This is fairest way to due it.

This came out of the court ordered mediation from Florida. This is not about saving face. Everyone knew this would come down to a settlement, and that’s exactly what this is. Any agreement changing the underlying grant of rights and payout schedules that favor one member over the other members must be approved by 2/3 of all the members, not ever going to pass. Maybe a preformance based incentives open equally to all members for being ranked each week in the AP 25 Getting to the ACC championship winning the ACC championship getting selected as a playoff team winning a playoff game getting to the championship game. becomming the national championship would have a reasonable chance of being accepted by enough members. Also how about a boost based on viewership for televised games. Let the conference share be based on 50-80% of the revenues to be split between all teams. Cuse is 2nd in the nation in revenue in Basketball, second only to Kentucky, and have the whole NY media market, we don't have to leech off any corn-fed has been blue-blood! Cuse in da House!🍊🏈🏀🍊 Coach K and Roy begged for the Cuse in the ACC! GET OFF ON THE ARROGANT DISRESPECT. Pitt followed us as a package deal for football.

@@cuse445 Fair point on the BBall - just that no conference would pay them football money that they are getting from the ACC.

@@chrislombard8259 Agree, we are a private small school, Cornell is even bigger Dude. Maybe the fanbase isn't as big in football, but you said we bring nothing??? I gotta get ready to go see Cuse and Stanford, so, I'll leave at this quote "Syracuse has one of the biggest and best Traveling fanbases in the history of college B-ball, top #5 fan base in the country, landing the Cuse in the ACC was the equivalent of getting Notre Dame in football."- Mike Krzyzewski. That bring some revenue? Not all green is football money. Roll Cuse crush the Egg🥚heads!🍊

@@cuse445 Coach K loved Boeheim and this was the sort of stuff he would say to make his friend feel better about the demise of the BigEast and coming to the ACC - remember about how Jimmy would complain about that?. As for traveling fanbases, if you take away games at MSG, there is nothing special about the Cuse fanbase - see how many Tar Heel and Duke fans show up at every venue in the ACC. As for football, love Fran as the new coach but losing to Stanford, at home last nite, shows there is no miracle turnaround.

@@cuse445 and even if this comment was credible snd accounted for all revenue., how much much more can these circus clowns stain themsleves.or even their value to the gane? After spending last december preparing for georgia they were on tv looking for a fight with espn then their league. After the mosr pathetic disrespect the sport has ever seen they took their embarsing protrst onto the field in the orange bowl while the starters didnt even show up to support the 18year olds who were forced to play theie first snap against a ga team ,fully prepared to prove their 3year rampage was not over, who obviously as a program spenr month quietly bringing program together by simply taking whats in fronr of them which now was a month they earned over last 4months to improve evry part of their priduct srarting with your future by bringing them into view of a full display of how a elite prigram opeeates and the leaving vetrans primed to displsy the ideal approach to beat an opponent before kickoff in front of a chaulkbord and in weight room and like they are now in front of vetrans who showed them. Its the core of a winning culture that very few will ever be shown. Just look across the rose bowl at what vetrans passed down to florida states future! The most sraggering piece of florida state seeing zero opportumity, in useing a matchup , vs the most dominant rampsge in memory in the orange bowl.to benefit their program in any way. That those instead chose to be our in front of the florida seminoles looking for support for their contest which logicly had no opportunity to improve any part of an elite program on the evening news looking for an oppobent, willing to stain their value with a oublic pissing contest, instead of in their lair preparing for an opponent that even could at very least show themselves if ready to compete with a truly dominant team or if the needed more time in front of a chalk board preparing themselves!

I get what you're saying yes Clemson and Florida State did sign the contracts but that was the old Administration college football has elevated so much we have to stay competitive as a conference with the SEC in Big Ten you can't be 40 million per year behind each and every year it makes it hard to keep up now paying players hotel flights that's not cheap and you're trying to compete with the SEC and Big Ten on top of that it doesn't matter what we sign is the ACC job to keep us competitive with other conference

Lol....if you sign a deal for a period of time, that's it. Don't sign long term deals if you think the landscape of fball is changing.
