As a Louisville fan I never wanted to be on the ACC when Swofford broke up the Big East. I don’t see much point in remaining in the ACC & hope we get to the Big12 sooner than later. And yes that is where FSU & Clemson will wind up after the SEC snubs them. The SEC will eventually grab the Miami market & the Big 10 will take North Carolina (no NCSt package) & possibly Boston College. I expect that the Big 12 will make the first move to streaming & sign with Prime or Netflix, shrewdly jumping the big 2. The Big 12 will also include Gonzaga, UConn & possibly other basketball powers in the Big East along with Memphis, NC State, Syracuse, Pitt. The idea is to grab the growth potential of streaming & basketball & contain the SEC/Big 10 package.

Until ESPN puts the ACC in the same money range as the SEC and Big 10, they haven’t saved anyone but themselves. That deal to pay certain teams in the ACC more than some other teams they are just dividing them.

I get these guys cover all of the ACC and aren't as dialed into the law suit with the FSU / Clemson and the ACC. But Kenton should look more into that before advising that the ACC should keep this lawsuit going instead of pushing for a settlement. Stating that FSU / Clemson's main point of contention was that the league wouldn't necessarily be around after 2027 is just "ONE" of and not even close to the top reason why they are suing the ACC.

NC State fan here. I wouldn't normally watch FSU. This past year I watched because it was like a train wreck. That may be one reason their viewership was up.

If it wasn't, ESPN would've gladly let this contract expire and move on with their beloved SEC. If ESPN were smart, they would push to change the perception around ACC football, and push the two leagues with whom they have contracts.

Yes Clemson and FSU are stuck for now. Not just because of this deal, but also for lack of immediate landing spot between TV contracts. SEC really wants UNC but they have their own state issues. It is possible that several teams leave in 2031. Until then, all ACC teams continue to fade out of relevance each year as the SEC and BIG start making 50 mil more per year. A sad moment for ALL ACC teams

What are y'all talking about? FSU playing Notre Dame is normal. They are 6 and 6 against them all time and also play an SEC team or two on a regular basis. FSU doesn't fear Ohio State, which is 0-4 against the Noles, Florida, Clemson, Alabama Michigan, LSU, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Tennessee or Miami. I guess i can just stop right there because if you can't understand that, you never will. Not only has FSU played against these caliber of programs, but they have also defeated them.
