Wifes a Zag, I'm a Bronco. I need this... It would be the most entertaining winter EVERY YEAR. I'd buy extra season tickets... Please,... Imagine no longer playing San Jose State and instead getting Gonzaga. I'd never sleep again.
SDSU vs the Zags every year would be lit. 2 of the best not-mid-major programs.
Washington St., Gonzaga, Memphis, UNLV, San Diego St., Saint Mary's would be basketball heaven
Add in Grand Canyon and Wichita State as possible options, plus Oregon State once they finally have the stability to fire Tinkle and it could be electric.
You left out Boise State and even Colorado St at time.

Gonzaga would be a really good add.
If the PAC adds 3-5 eastern schools and UNLV, I think it could be a very fun conference.
Another team that is worth mentioning is Wichita State. They’re basketball-only members of the AAC, but if the AAC gets gutted they may be an interesting option as well.
Wichita State also adds depth in baseball to the conference.

teams! If foot ball becomes more separatist I see basketball gaining more importance and media views for basketball in general but especially with teams that are outside of the teams that focus on football!
PAC should want Gonzaga due to quality of basketball play, national name recognition, good academics, more media revenue and geographic regionality. Bringing them on with University of Connecticut or Saint Mary’s would be great.
Zag’s may not want to go because:
They have shown they can schedule a hard enough non conference schedule to get a march madness invite.
They will usually win their conference championship which gives them an automatic bid.
Reasons they
May want to join:
Get more media money.
More likely to play against competitive teams that
are regional.
Gain more
More National attention?
Play in bigger arenas with more energy.
Have more attendance at their games?
If the money is right, Zags should consider.
Memphis Tiger fan interested in where the Zags stand.
The PAC and all this movement may be about football, but Memphis still considers basketball to be supreme.
We just need to get back on the right track. 😉
Gonzaga has a more extensive basketball history but if Gonzaga was in the PAC12 they would have their plate full. They have not dominated SDSU and SDSU has had its plate full as well with Boise State and other programs.

Gonzaga has no football team, facilities, or room to have them, sure they have one of the finest West Coast basketball programs, but they have little to offer otherwise.
Adding Gonzaga is stupid. Coach Few will not be there forever, Once he retires the BB program will be just another team.
If the Zags don’t want to join go get St. Mary’s
