The accumulation of mild head trauma over time has been shown to raise your risk for neurological dysfunction later in life. This includes not only Alzheimer’s but also another neurodegenerative process, Parkinson’s disease
According to recent research, even a single concussion could increase your risk for Parkinson’s by 56% to 83%, depending on the severity of the injury.
Those with one or more TBIs in their past also received a diagnosis of Parkinson’s on average two years earlier compared to those who had never had a TBI.
Telltale signs of TBI include poor concentration, mood changes, irritability, changes in your ability to focus and follow through on mental tasks, poor word recall, foggy thinking and sleep problems.
Commonsense strategies that will lower your risk of suffering a TBI are discussed, as are helpful treatment aids that will facilitate brain healing.

I've loved Dr. Mercola's efforts to provide quality information with videos, then emails, and now videos again. :) The story here in Thailand, where i've lived for decades, is that when opium became taxed, people switched to kratom. Kratom was then made illegal and until recently, people were in prison for use of this very mild plant. Some leaves are very different than other leaves. It's made with a bunch of leaves that are boiled down for a long time into a concentrated water decoction. The piece of the puzzle that Dr. McCurdy missed is that it was used to replace opium smoking. When Thai people didn't have opium, they'd drink it and then smoke marijuana. (mic. drop!) It takes ordinary marijuana and amplifies the effects. Hope this helps, btw I'd love to make a water fasting clinic here in Thailand, like in Costa Rica or True North in California. I know a beautiful place near a mountain where phones don't function, with very little EMF.

I was addicted to FDA approved pain pills, benzos and muscle relaxers for 11 years straight.
I got fired from chronic pain management in April 2019. After that, I went to the streets and started doing cocaine while I was searching for a new pain management doctor.
In June 2019, whilst in cocaine withdrawal, I watched that documentary “A Leaf of Faith.” My journey with Kratom began the very next day.
Kratom shut that “I need one more snort, one more pill, one more escape” noise off in my brain. It allowed me to work on my whys of addiction. I have not been back to pain management in 5 years.
I am a functioning member of society again. I am a thriving mother again. I am no longer a burden to my kids. I will be forever grateful and thankful that I accidentally found lab tested plain leaf powder Kratom.
I now pass on my journey, wisdom and science to help those struggling with addiction, chronic pain, anxiety and depression.
Yours truly, Kratom advocate/activist from Colorado est. 2019.

Thank you for this information. I lost my son to mitragynine toxicity. A very healthy young man with no other substances, alcohol or nicotine. Addiction is real, Kratom deaths are real .

We need reasonable regulations, age restrictions, and labeling. If enforced it will be a huge success. The Kratom Consumer Protection Act is the way to go. Millions benefit!

Thank you for this video. My 30 year old son died from kratom toxicity. The majority of kratom users now are addicted to kratom. Traded one addiction for another.

I'm sorry to hear about your son.
I wouldn't be on this earth if it weren't for kratom. It saved my life. It's not about addiction for me, it's a chronic pain issue I can't fix.

And I hope you continue on the same path. Make sure you keep an eye on your blood work. It creates havoc with your liver. Good luck

I am very sorry for your loss. There has never been a scientifically proven death from kratom alone. What evidence do you have to say "the majority of kratom users are addicted..?" There is no evidence to indicate that. Kratom has been a life saver for me- the only thing that has provided pain relief from multiple chronic conditions that cause chronic severe pain. I take it when I need it for exacerbations. I have no problem with withdrawal symptoms except return of pain. My labs are perfect. Did you hear Dr. M say the leading cause of death in those under age 50 is opioid overdose? Kratom is a safe substance that doesn't cause respiratory depression. It saves so many lives so please don't spread misinformation.

@@dr.heidisykora7639I don't know where you are getting your information but there are many, many deaths from kratom alone. Many. I wish you luck with your kratom usage.

I didn't trade it for anything. Got off three OTC meds that were wrecking my organs. Benefits have been astounding.
