Awesome tutorial, I love the longer format. The Attribute Noise (pscale) + Scaling by attribute in bevel (next to Distance parameter) would work wonders for the stylised version.
Then you are one of the rare people. I've been told many times videos are to long, which I agree on, but if you wanna learn something it doesn't happen in 15min. So I am glad there are people understanding this concept. Regarding Beveling. Yes I am aware of it and I use it sometimes. But that technique is a bit advanced and not really for DM tutorials I believe. I will demonstrate that in future tutorials for sure. Goal with these ones was not to scare people away. Also, I could recommend Labs Edge damage for stylized looks. It can do wonders. 🙂
Hehe, maybe door are forged from iron, so you would need big hinges. :D But yea, I think they are a bit big, its incredibly hard to record something meaningful, speak foreign language and try to explaining things...so sometimes some parts of the model might be or look not so good. :D
@@polymarvels As I said, it's perfectly understandable, and doesn't hurt the purpose of the video. Great job ! I wonder how far you plan to go with this modeling serie ? Will you do every last object in the reference ? Will you shade it and render it ? Any hint on what you might do after it ?
@@6rilllir6 Well, regarding modelling, Ill probably do everything simply to finish the project properly. I think 6 more videos will be enough. Now, I also plan to do few UV Unwrapping tutorials and then maybe shading and rendering too, but only in Karma and Solaris. I think that makes most sense at this point. Would those be interested for you?
@@polymarvels I'm quite familiar with all those fields in Houdini now (been using it as my main tool for 5 years now) and yet I enjoy sharpening my skills watching talented people posting good tutorials. So yes I'd be interested !
@@6rilllir6 Ok then, why not. Ill see to record those too. And please, dont call me talented, I have zero talent, but incredible work ethic when comes to 3D or more specific modelling. ☺ Anyone can do this if they put time into it, that's the only requirement if you ask me.
Ok, its official, that Align tools is great, thanks a million for the heads up. :) I've been using it here so often capture.dropbox.com/RvTnkJMTSg0j4gLh
