- The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating a home invasion robbery that resulted in as much as $1 million worth of jewelry and other valuables being stolen from a home in Hollywood Hills early Wednesday morning.

It's crazy. Anyone who's been up in the Hollywood Hills knows just how tough it is to get in and out of that neighborhood. Someone must have been planning and casing the place for weeks.

Most of these are "follow home" robberies. These guys stake out expensive restaurants/stores and if they see people wearing expensive jewelry/watches, they'll follow them home. It's been going on for over a year now. Same M.O.
The person staying in this home was a "social media influencer." Wouldn't be hard to follow them home seeing as how their entire existence is public.

This has to be an inside job, either they’re not really victims or the individual who rented out the house knew whoever was staying there had money. Nobody would do this randomly in a area like this where it’s very secluded and not easy to get in and out of.

These victims are not being very smart to have that much cash and valuables with no security, no security plan, no panic buttons, nothing it just doesn’t make sense. Of course these animals that are committing the crimes deserve to be executed or in prison but if you have valuable stuff you need to take steps to protect it

I've been robbed of nearly everything I own more than once, unfortunately. Never had anything that amounted to more than a couple thousand. People have k!lled for far less. I can't even imagine feeling safe with that amount of money on display.
