      it started when simply grounding your child to their room became grounds to have CPS up your arse. it started when yelling at your child became a reason to call CPS. i grew up in the 80s. i was yelled at. spanked. grounded. i came out just fine with respect and common sense, and 2 college degrees. discipline does not equal abuse, but you cant tell ppl that anymore. soft parenting got us here. period. they wanna be friends, not parents now, cause they are scared of the law.

If social media is brainwashing your kid(s), take it away. Talk to your kids every day. Explain to them the importance of self-control. Making intelligent choices. Making decisions based on insight, not emotion. Teach them to think for themselves rather than trying to "fit in." Build your family up on love and trust so that your kids can recognize bad influences and avoid mistakes that will ruin their life and the people who truly love them

      my grandpa gave me an Uncle Henry buck knife when I was 8 back in 1972 & I carried it in my pocket every day all the way thru Hi Skool & still have it to this day {along with many others}! I also had a .22, 30-06, 30-30, British 303, 12 gauge pump, 12 gauge auto, Sweet 16 & 20 gauge before I was 13 since we lived way down in the kuntry here in Georgia! If you ever seen the 1st season of Dukes of Hazzard thats where I grew up but it doesnt look like that small town anymore since they make most movies there now {Hollywood South} & the population has quadrupled so I moved further into the sticks 25 yrs ago so I could keep my garden & goats, chickens, turkeys, ducks, hogs & dogs plus no neighbors for 1/4 of a mile & maybe a car or 2 a day pass by

      That's really not fair to blame a parent no matter what. In this case the parent gave him the gun so he is 100% culpable. If a child steals a gun or buys one illegally that's not the parents fault.

      @@megaman786 Again that's really not fair. We don't yet know the history as to what happened to this kid. There are children that do violent things because they're bullied, they get in with the wrong crowd or are under the influence of drugs and alcohol or any combination of the former. A 14-year-old does not have a fully developed brain. We don't know what kind of genetics he has as many killers have a defect in their brain. I think you would agree that there's something missing in the brain of these people as the father should never have given his child a gun. That's just plain absurd.

      They were separated. She couldn’t even go near the father without a third-party. She had been arrested for domestic violence, drug possession. A number of times over the last 17 years I live about 15 minutes from them. She’s worse than the father .

    And the SAME standard should’ve applied to Deja Taylor & her first grader son who shot Abby Zwerner, his targeted teacher. Reckless mom only got 21 M O N T H S - up to 25 years was the actual possible sentence. Her kid is a homicidal, brutal child who planned his attack and would chase classmates swinging a belt, with buckle aimed directly at them. The school administrators did NOTHING despite being made aware of his threats & behavior 🤦‍♀️

      No because most of those children access guns illegal beyond the parent's control, and majority of those parents have to work (single mother homes) and can't keep an eye on their children, plus most gang affiliated shooting is done to one on one or with gangs, (sometimes innocents get caught up) when innocents do get caught up those guys go to prison, rightfully so, what u should be worried about, us Colt Gray and his Terrible father getting prison time, and justice for the two boys who were killed and the two teachers.

    They should charge every legal guardian when a child under their care commits a crime. They have almost always been liable civilly. Stop having kids if u r incapable of raising a productive member of society

    Maybe I'm crazy, but I think that if the FBI investigated my 14-year-old son for making threats to shoot up his school, I would simply not get him an AR-15 for Christmas. Maybe a video game console or some expensive shoes or something, but not a rifle!

      Parents should be held accountable if they allow their underage children to run around loose committing crimes. If parents are charged as accessories to the crime their child commits, they may decide to be more responsible in their parenting. Any minor put in jail should have at least one parent, if not both, sitting right beside them in the cell for as long as the child is there. Just mho. 🤷‍♀️
