⁴ᴷ MTA NYCT IRT 7th Avenue Line: Train Of Many Colors (1) Train Action - Holiday Train 2022 Last Day

As it goes deeper and deeper into the holiday season, and Christmas inches closer, the Train Of Many Colors' scheduled holiday season runs come to an end after 4 consecutive Sundays of running a shortened and modified (1) "Express" service between 137th Street-City College and Chambers Street, in Manhattan. The consist was 10 cars long with 2 cars of each model and what scheme they were painted in, to make them match in pairs. The train would run in "regular revenue service" with the only payment needed being the regular $2.75 fare that would go for any regular subway commute, as the Holiday Trains special treat. After the first day of these trips, the transit museum made a few last minute changes to the routing of the train so the consist would stay on a steady and even schedule, and could pay more attention to its spacing with other (1) trains then pay attention to how much time it would be taking to operate through the whole segment of the line without delaying other regular revenue service trains. This prompted the NYTM to make the train run very limited stops, with most stops being express stops that the (2) and (3) would usually serve, with a few stops in between that serve as major subway connections. With the final runs of these trips taking place, many people attended to experience this colorful festive train one more time. After the train was done with its runs, the train crews had changed the front signage to sport a diamond (5) routing, acting as a reference to the route it would be taking to drive back to the 239th Street Yard, which was unfortunately not recorded here. #mtasubway
