Terrence Benjamin yes thank you. I was about to say direct injection but wasn’t sure if it’s actually is. Didn’t want to say anything and get slapped with comments lol. Yes sir it is normal.
Due Oil changes every 5k. This is coming from Honda Tech. Engine sound is completely normal because of direct injection ( Valve sound ) Great car in every way!!!!
I really like what they did with this Accord I would just add three things. 1. Panoramic roof 2. More HP/torque 3. Hatchback like the stinger or a5 4. Better looking rear end
I agree about the back being improved but looking at past accords for their refresh they always change the back. They also need a 360 camera, the Camry offers it
Very nice bro!!! I bought my Honda Accord Sport 2.0T in September 2019. It's my 4th Honda...and love it! So far I've changed my oil once at 9,339 and paid $70. Some of the modifications that I've done: 1. Added a rear sports spoiler 2. Changed the high beam, turn signals, backup, map, doom, and trunk lights to LED lights. These LED lights are very bright, which draw other drivers' attention, but no blinding. 3. And ordered a front lip spoiler, and rear bumper diffuser which is coming from China...should be coming in early June. Planning to change the rear taillight assy so that all the lights turn on....like the Touring model. Or maybe a whole different light assembly...maybe look like an Audi taillights. Loved your video!!! #HondaLove
Manny Veyna that’s amazing. Very good upgrades and thank you!! 👊🏼 I love Honda’s cuz there is so much you can do to them. For the oil change you are so lucky I wish I can get that. I even told Honda and they said they don’t know. Cuz full synthetic suppose to last 7-10k miles but for me around 3k which is crazy. I might need to get an oil change somewhere else. I always listen to car when to change the oil. I never go by the miles. A lot told me to go by the mileage but i am scared if something going to happen. The engine. If it was lease I would drive 10k on each oil change hahah
So when is it required to change the oil on these newer Honda Accords because this guy said he doesn't marry 3500 you said you did your first one a little over 9,000 miles On my 2016 Honda corporate touring or no I do it about 9500 when the oil life is about 10 and to 5% I got a A 135000 miles On my old 3 acratio Which is basically the same engine And I have 300000 miles I've always changed the oil at 15000 I've never had a problem with that motor which is the J32 and the Honda Accord Is touring has the J35
yes I am, my oil changes are from the honda dealer and they are all synthetic, the accord only takes synthetic. I drive all city driving im not sure if that has to do something with it. people are getting 6k and 7k miles out of each oil change.
Wedow my dad’s civic is the same thing as mine. He changes it anywhere between 3500 to 4000 miles. Maybe you do a lot of highway man that’s why. Haha ya I have 16k on my car now. I drive a lot and all city.
@@Iegend17 I do a mix of both and I've gotten 9200 miles out of my last oil change, mind you I drive a q60 Redsport that has been modifyed. And I'm not too easy on the car either
About the turning radius. I have this car except an EX. The wheelbase was extended by 2in which is why the turning radius is larger. The reason it was extended was to add more rear passenger legroom. The longer the distance between the front and rear wheels the larger the turning radius. It also improves that car stance and looks.
Brincandopabajo once it comes out I am selling mine and buying one lol. I struggle in the snow. Plus it will freaking fast with AWD haha. Or a type R accord I will buy it right away
Dude-what-the-heck I am pretty sure Honda won’t put 4wd. It’s not a truck. And anyways AWD system works as 2 wheel drives and then when slippage is detected then the other two wheels will work to help the front wheels. That’s how Honda AWD system works. So my mom’s crv the front tires work but if they start slipping the back once work. You can’t even feel it and you can’t tell even standing outside of the car. It’s amazing. The ridge line used to be 4wd and now it’s AWD.
iishyxvietxboyii1 actually it might! You know why ? Cuz the Altima has it and legacy has it. If Toyota puts it then Honda will for sure. They won’t give a shit about the TLX. The accord sales are going down so they will do it if they have to.
Annas yes those Firestone tires are amazing in all season. I had them on my 9th Gen civic. Thread still good after 4 years. The key is to rotate more often.
I got the same color...BEAUTY CAR 2 years ago.. still have it !!. I wrapped the spolier the roof black and did a chrome delete on the doors and front end ! ..yours sounds amazing!!
If the stock tires are an issue in the snow, you should swap a set of narrower winter tires in for icy/snowy weather. It's fwd drive car so the turning radius will naturally be larger. You should've bought the 6 speed man! Overall, the car looks really good. I like the color
I am researching new vehicles for my next purchase and came accross the Accord. The biggest thing is that it comes with a stick and no one else offers it anymore for me. Your review as well as others are very helpful and appreciated. I want mine in white as being in florida dark colors roast your car like crazy. Currently own a 13 Rogue with 191k and still going. I am hoping for 250k before I need to replace it with this.
Nate Wood the accord stick is soooo fun. I have a friend that the civic hatchback stick and it drives so nice and smooth. It’s so fun to drive. The accord will be better and faster than the civic. Honda stick is nice and easy plus they are strong cars. Wow that’s a lot of miles lol. Good luck on your search and I hope your rogue can make it to 250k
Ali Sadiq hahaha no it doesn’t that’s the direct injection lol. It does sound like it but it’s not lol. They won’t go back to v6 everyone is staying away from it. Plus i4 is less expensive to maintain.
@@Iegend17 we have a lot of dusty weather around 8 months a year specially in middle east and I don't trust the turbo engines cause I own one and I have to go to maintenance every 3 months to figure the problems and change filters.. Natural aspirated engines are the best cause they don't have turbo issues and I think the new turbo engines in Honda don't face problems such as other manufacturer and I hope it will.
Ali Sadiq oh dam man that’s crazy. I mean Honda builds car specific for the Middle East. Radiator and engine components are big cuz of the heat. And the car will have warranty so you don’t have to pay anything. Plus Honda in the middle easy is consider a luxury car. The parts are expensive for it. Toyota way to go there :)
ozzie 305 yes for now haha. For sure they are going to use the 2.0t. The type R has it and this accord does too and trust me it’s more than enough to move that small passport for the pilot, odyssey and Ridgeline they might use the same engine but tune it for a higher torque and horsepower. Like my car has the same engine but less torque and less horsepower than the type R
I have the 2018 EX-L. I love just about everything, but yeah...that turn radius really sucks. Especially because I came from a Toyota Sienna mini-van which has a LEGENDARY turn radius. That said, this is my favorite car ever.
Great video! I have the exact same one (red, 2.0) and I love it. 2 things I've noticed with mine: 1. With the heated seats, if I leave them on, turn off my car, then turn on my car-- they will continue being on until I click on them--however, they decrease from level 3 --> 2. 2. The AC is on by default always until I click AC off. Have you noticed?
Ronald Morales yes same exact things bro. When I turn off the car and turn it on the seats default to setting 3 which is so hot lol. And the AC is always on if you have it on the defroster thingy. I usually turn off the AC most of the times. But the car gets goofy so I end up turning the AC back again lol. Btw I did a test last summer and I haven’t noticed any suffer with gas mileage. The ac doesn’t affect this car. When it comes to power and fuel economy. Which is amazing haha. Cuz in my older 2013 accord 2.4 CVT the moment I turn on the AC the car dies. Becomes so heavy.
Annas Ahmad thanks for the reply! Yea I had a 2007 accord v6 and it felt so heavy when I put the AC. Another thing I noticed: recently went to Honda, I did the back up camera recall and I wasn’t having issues before but now since the recall, it resets a lot and the camera angles don’t always show. Gonna let the dealer know next time.
Ronald Morales omggggg sameeeeee. I was about to make a video about this. Dude I swear I am having the same issue. Do u think it’s just the cold weather ? I have noticed that when I turn on my car and put it in reverse quick. And sometimes after I reverse and out it in Drive. The screen completely becomes black then I hit the home button then it comes back up
Ronald Morales yes I am gonna talk to them about it. I have a noise that comes from the left mirror and it makes whistling noises/wind noises. They order a rubber thingy so they can put it and see if the sound goes away.
The back don’t change even if owned. It’s still ugly in the back with the lobster claws. Give it the new Insight lights in the back once refreshed. Then it will be fine in the back.
Nerd Alert your opinion lol. Acura is doing the same thing too with their RDX. I know they are the same company. Another company is doing the same design/look but I can’t remember which company.
Why are oil changes only lasting 3500 miles? On our 2018, they’ve been running about twice that long before the maintenance wrench lights up on the dashboard.
I bought my accord 2014 sport 2 yrs ago and never had issues ,a couple more months and ill pay it off and going to buy the type r ,they asking 33K here in Cleveland
xboxguy95 TheKing yes man the 2014 accord sport is amazing. I wanted one so bad back then but then I got the 2013 ex with the camera on the mirror. Had it for 8 months then sold it to my brother for a really cheap price lol. Then got the 2018 accord. Dam 33k for a type r that’s cheap. Dealers around me asking for 35k 36k
@@Iegend17 its really amazing and fun, some people hate cvt but i think thats the best cvt and Honda did a good job, sometime i think i really dont want to sell it,but idk we ll see, accord 2018 its nice too man, congratulations,i love the sport 2.0 Or touring 2.0
Just randomly stumbled across this Video. I have a 2018 Honda Accord Sport 1.5. Same color though I really wanted the blue. Why didnt you get manual transmission? The back is lets just say average, but the front is really nice. Can always see other civics and accords at night time with how the lights are. My Accord came with 6 years of free maintenance from the dealership. I can understand about snow but I live near Austin Texas and we never have it so the standard tires are fine. Good video will check out your other vids.
Jaime U my car been great. I have the 2.0t shifting and engine is greattt. A lot of people don’t like them cuz they have turbos but those turbos are amzing. My mom has a crv 2017 with the 1.5t and omg it’s Amazing and smooth. I test drove a 2020 crv and my mom drove like that 2020 if not even better haha and her crv has 63k on it.
Kinda seems like your complaining about nothing. Honda gave good service. the car has no problems. seems so far this car will be good to boost? give it some time for parts and testing. i bet this motor will be puttin out 400whp with not many mods. Turbo fuel tune.I want one
All accords of this generation are turbo from factory. The L15b 1.5 liter turbo is from the regular civic.. the K20C 2 liter turbo is from the civic type R
Wait a minute, did you say 3500miles between oil changes? When I get to 15% it’s not until about 5500miles on my 2012 accord........did Honda make the intervals for changing the oil more frequent?
@@Andy-kw5nw mine exactly 3500 miles, honda techs told me that and the computer tells me that. my 2013 used to be the same thing, I used to get 3500-3800 miles. I dont do highway at all, could that be it? some guy i know on youtube,he told me he changes his oil every 7000K
Have had any instances where you scraped the bottom of the car? I live in an area infested with large speed pumps which is holding me from buying low sedans. I love the 2019 Accord but afraid of ruining it especially when 3 fat guys ride in the back.
Jaffar Abdul Baqi omg LOLL. if you carry a lot of people then don’t man. It’s a nice car and it’s great. If you carry people don’t get the 1.5t lol. Because they car won’t go anywhere. Make sure you get the 2.0t. The car isn’t bad and it is kinda low on the ground but it’s not that bad. A lot of people told me to get a splitter but I was like hell nahhh. Because it make the car lower. Bro get a truck. After I finish paying my car I am gonna lease a ram 2019 rebel. And keep my Accord for the summer time. It’s not the best in the snow. Unless you get an lx or ex or exl. If you get a sport if touring you will struggle in the snow
I'm surprised people are still buying cars from places that don't offer free oil changes. Lol. I'm also surprised Honda doesn't offer oil changes under the limited warranty, it's weird that they don't have a maintenance plan. The dealership I bought my car from gave me lifetime oil changes and a lifetime warranty. Hopefully I'll never have to use that warranty, but it's definitely nice to have! I bought a 2017 Touring though, because it's just overall better. I love the 2018 interior, but pretty much everything else about it I hate. Should be interesting to see what they do for the 10th gen refresh.
Also, I've paid 0 as far as maintenance goes. All I have had done to the car in the year and a half I've owned it (Bought it September 2017), are oil changes. Car is at 23k miles right now. So far so good and still loving my Accord!
Mine is lifetime warranty as long as I own the car. They told me if I leased it i would get free oil changes for the whole lease term. I haven’t had any issues. Mine has 17k now and I love it. I only spent 100-140$ I had it for a year and couple of months. I bought it back in December 2017.
Eric Heng really? Cuz I got an oil change at the dealer for $23 and if you wanna but the whole jug it will be $20. If anything happen to my car at least it was done at the dealer. I don’t wanna touch the car and then something happens to it and they will tell me it wasn’t us. I can do my own oil changes but I make good money so why bother myself
@@Iegend17 The warranty for the vehicle (named her Lexi) is for three years or 36000 miles whichever comes first standard warranty. She had 4 miles on her when I purchased her last November. She now has a little over 10000 miles on her. She came with the free oil changes for the life of the vehicle and if she needs to be kept for longer than a day I get a free loner car. I was duped into getting some warranty which covers if it gets a dent and the cleaning of the inside upholstery but don't recommend it. I did get a loner car though when the inside upholstery had to be cleaned. I think the dealer I got her from charges $65.00 for oil changes. I just have to pay for anything else at a 10% discount I think with a card I got from them if I pay them and put it on their card. Not a credit card though.
aissatou sunjata well the only reason Lexi has lifetime oil changes is because you don’t have a life time warranty on Like me hahah. I have lifetime warranty on a lot of things. Transmission, engine and turbo and more. I posted a video about it. Check it out :)
@5:04 Tires: You purchased the "Sport" model of the Accord. That style focuses on performance. Performance is not limited to acceleration. Performance includes braking and handling (or cornering). Would you buy a Corvette or Ferrari, and then complain that it comes with tires not best suited for the snow? You complained about the short sidewall. I have the same car, and I wish that the sidewall was even shorter (like on the Civic Type-R). Why? Because short sidewalls translates to tires that do not roll on to their sidewalls on hard cornering. It is one of the key factors to having a car that can go into turns and stay planted and not squeal. Not much tread? That is correct, and is necessary for a performance tire. It is why race cars have tires with zero tread (they use slicks). Less tread means more rubber meets the pavement. Less tread means less "wiggle" when taking turns. Imagine doing push-ups using your finger tips. You would be unstable. That is what you get with deep tread. In fact, tires with deep tread will "chunk" off rubber if pushed around a turn. If you will never take a turn aggressively, if you will never hug the curve with no brakes on that highway ramp, then getting low profile tires is meaningless (except for how they look). It seems like you purchased the Sport model based on its looks, and did not know that those tires and wheels are designed with an emphasis on performance -- they are not there solely for their looks. I own the same car, and when my factory "All Season" tires need to be replaced, I will probably go for "Summer Performance" tires, in order to improve the handling to an even higher level. This is not good for the snow. But I will not drive it in the snow. In your case, since you do need to drive it in the snow, better summer performance tires will not work for you. Cheers!
Hello, i have a great question. When you put your car on sport (if you do) when do you shift on the paddles, at what rpm. Cuz i started to go nuts on it and shifting at 4 and a half and now the valve gasket is leaking......lame
The computer CANNOT TELL the difference between Dino and full synthetic oil. You have to use common sense when changing oil. Synthetic can last longer depending on where and how you drive. 5000-7000miles is a good average for full synthetic. But I wouldn’t go much longer.
If its on 5% I would change it now , Mine wont hit 5% until the 7k mark if i run it out that long. usually i'm changing at 5k thats long enough especially if it shows signs of being dirty.
Doug T dam lucky you man. I don’t know why I am getting 4 only. I even check the papers they gave me after the oil change and it said 0w20 that means it’s full synthetic and it only takes full synthetic
With synthetic I go10k on my Bmw before I change.no reason you can’t do10 between changes. Oil is much cleaner now adays . People over exaggerate how often they need oil. Save your money. Once every 10k. Also that percentage doesn’t mean anything. It is just a basic mileage calculation , doesn’t measure oil quality or anything like that.
any recommendations for the terrible seats? I know you have a Sport and not LX. It didn't bother me on a 10min test drive.. but 20-30-45mins... terrible. painful.
Honda is getting good at creating the cream of the crap....they are over rated.....they were good back in the 80's and 90's......they are just overpriced garbage today
jim wuerl yes manual is so fun I know. I learned to drive it on my dad’s old civic and it was so much fun. But tbh with you I drive a lot and I do all city driving. Driving in downtown and in rush hour it’s pain in the ass. The 10 speed is amazing man. You don’t need 6 speed trust me lol. It looks a sleeper and the shifting is so fast. It’s like an air plane. When I hit the gas man I pushes me back to the seat.
I have a 2018 2.0 touring and never had issues with turning radius and I drive in downtown chicago where I make u turns easily. I really enjoy driving this car. May be you need practice for turning this car. I have owned 3 accords since 2009 and this is the best accord yet
EJAZ WAHEED it’s the best accord but is the best turning radius Accord you owned ? I know what I am talking about I owned a 2009 accord and 2013. And my brother has 2009 accord and my older has 2013 and they are way better when it comes to turning. Maybe you forgot how your old car used to turn. Hop in an older accord and give it a try and you will know what I mean :) it doesn’t have anything to do with practicing my turns lol. I got used to it now but comparing to the older accord is not good. Since they stretched the wheel base. Look more into it :)
Legend17 a lot of people say this gen has issues with oil dilution ... it’ll be interesting to see how this turbos and cvt hold up long term . I own 2017 with cvt , only issue was fuel pump gone bad but covered under warrenty
@@the.original.K . Yes . I don't like the new engines probably the new look. I have a 2008 exl . I'd like to replace it with a 2017 touring . I love the 2.4 engine but am reluctant to but one with cvt transmission
chith siriphat should I ? Lol. I own the car I am not leasing it. Plus I am not gonna sell it so not sure if I should. What do u think. You can even see it unless you get really close to it.
@@Iegend17 I currently own a 2008 Accord coupe. With 240k miles. Great car and has served me well. But i an at a stage in my life that I need an SUV or crossover. So Forester is what I am eying.
You complaining about the tires. You have a set of Michelin Tires. The best tire that money can buy. I only buy Michelin Tires. Period. If I had to buy another tire other than Michelin it'd be Goodyear. They're number 1 and 2 in the Tire World.
@@Iegend17 oh you must have summer tires on them. If so you should get all season tires. I have an 13' Acura ILX which I fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3. They are great in all weather and I live in Georgia. Which we occasionally get snow in the Winter. I get good traction in all weather. Also you might need a new set of tires. Depending on how long the tires been on your car.
Jamal Jackson I agree. Yesterday I was driving at night and there was black ice in the road. The car didn’t have any issues. Of course tires were spinning but it was planted. But in the snow they are the worse.
Annas Ahmad all seasons tires needed lol. Idk why dealers even put summer tires on... why not just provide all season tires. Maybe it’s to keep the car at a certain price point though.
Hmm.. I change oil on my 2019 Accord every 8-10k miles... And I drive a lot.. Almost 50k in first year.. All my mechanic friends (who's not interested to charge me money) says that oil need to work.. And by that they mean that if you change oil too soon before it wears out then you messing an engine.. On another note love this car
How's your gas mileage? I just picked up my 2018 2.0 and the first couple of tanks avg 22-23 with even city/highway driving. Although I do live in Seattle with a lot of hills
Nick Goudeau HORRIBLE. It’s anywhere between 19-21 city driving only. I expected more. Trust me don’t expect a lot. My average is 16 now lol. I got tired of getting bad gas mileage so I pushed my car more :)
Nick Goudeau I bought 1.5t sport and I drove freeways everyday it gives 30mpg. Now I drive mostly local then 23-24mpg. I live in Seattle too so gas mileage really depends on wher u drive
I'm trying to figure out why are you changing the oil so much? These newer car don't need an oil change but once a year... maybe twice. Plus on full synthetic?
Gio S6 yes full synthetic. I don’t man I am listening to the computer. Everyone is telling the same thing you telling me. But the techs from Honda told me to listen to the computer. They said if I do a lot of city and drive aggressive then it needs to be changed around 3500-4000 miles. If I do a lot of highway then 7k miles. I am listening to the computer it’s my car. If I was leasing it trust me I would wait till 7k lol. But I am not leasing it.

Manny Hernandez first of I appreciate you subscribing! :) I wish I had 30k to pay it all lol. I only put down 12500 down and my monthly payment is 300$ a month. Interest is 5%. Which isn’t bad at all because I am only 21.
I'm KOREAN. I really HATE JAPAN. but Unfortunetely, I love HONDA. I bought MY19 ACCORD 2.0T three days ago. Im very satisfied with this car. I had had MK7 GTD. This accord brings me fun driving like MK7. I am afraid the absence of cooling seat and heating steering wheel.
My 3 year ownership of a 2016 Accord and a 2016 RCF Oil change Tires If you're buying a Toyota/Lexus or Honda/Acura and your worries are reliability then you might as well go to GM/Any British Cars and ask them about reliability as well. My older brother has a 2017 X5M and it has been in the shop more than my cars have gotten oil changes. If you go with Honda you won't be disappointed, because the new 2.0L Accords can get 300+ Hp / 350lb tq with Hondata. So if you're looking for a fun car to start out with go for the Civic/Accord.
Rellykz oh dam that sucks lol. X5m are expensive to maintain I bet lol. Ya man this accord been treating me good and I love it. I am thinking to get the hondata but worried about the warranty. I have lifetime warranty on it and I honestly don’t wanna lose it.
Annas Ahmad Hondata is really good in the sense that it's plug and play. What you can do before a service is flash back to stock. That's what makes a lot of people really love it. You should look into it, I got a buddy who has a leased Civic Si and he has hondata, all he does is just flash it back to stock and they have no way of finding out. Best to research though and not rely on my statement. It's really worth it if you're fine with it, it brought his car to another level.
After owning 2 turbo Subaru’s (WRX and XT) why did you upgrade your air filter? Air to fuel ratios are important for turbo charged cars and you just increased the air ratio without a tune.
The stock air box is usually good enough for turbo cars unless you can flash your ECU to take advantage of the extra air flow. You could actually make less power because your ECU isn’t sure what to do with extra O2 in the cylinders. You would need to check civic/accord turbo forums for advise or a Honda shop. Turbo cars are heavy on engine CPU management and what works for naturally aspirated cars sometimes doesn’t crossover to forced induction.
There are companies starting to create CPU reflash for you car.. ruclips.net/video/AyDhJtapFXQ/видео.html ktuner.com/accord-2l-extended-testing/ I would stick the stock airbox back on until you figure out which tune company is best for you. Good luck!
Alex21Type R Projekt type r is nice. I really wanted one. But I don’t like civic cuz they are small. I wanted a Honda and something big and something fast. So it’s the accord with type r engine

Norbert Murányi that’s not true. Because my 2013 accord and my dad’s civic 2018 are amazing. It’s only the 2018 accord. I drove a lot of cars. It’s just the Honda Accord 2018.
One thing I never could find out on my 2019 LX is just the front right wheel the power wheel or are both left and right receiving power from the engine?
The turning radius is so so, I just got it the same color 2.0 sport 2 days ago. My 2016 MDX, 2013 and 2010 TLs turning raidus were all better though. Nice rev!

kevin kuc id rather a dealer do it for me so if they fuck up they fix it. I know an oil change is easy but why the headache. Plus cold asf I am not gonna do it in the cold. I go to the Honda dealer chill and drink coffee and sometimes I take my work laptop with me and I work from there. I get paid while my oil is being changed :)

Robert Rivera I got it from Westport Honda. Got it for 28k before all the taxes and fees and interest. An advice. Don’t go to the dealership in Wallingford. They wanted to sell it to me for sticker which was 31k and the sales person was saying their prices are the cheapest in Connecticut. NEVER go to an executive dealership. If it says executive Honda or dodge or anything else. Never go there cuz they will tell you their prices are the cheapest and there is no room to negotiate. My interest rate is 5.4% for 72 months. And when I got my car I was 20 years old. And my credit was garbage. It was 640 lol.
Zesty Comps cost of living is increasing everywhere lol. My accord I bought it $300 cheaper than the 2019 lol. For the same car the from 2018 to 2019 price went up 300$. Same design nothing new was added to it
The ticking noise is a characteristic of direct injection engines. So it’s normal
Terrence Benjamin yes thank you. I was about to say direct injection but wasn’t sure if it’s actually is. Didn’t want to say anything and get slapped with comments lol. Yes sir it is normal.
Yea it sounds just like my kia optima. The only problem with GDI is sludge.
@T T yea some like the ex or newer models.
ticking noise is from being "timing chain." they didn't have that noise back in the days when honda had traditional rubber timing belt
@Beverly Huttinger it is electric
My 2011 still running strong. Only changed tires and brakes. I keep up with oil changes and haven't had any problems yet.
Due Oil changes every 5k. This is coming from Honda Tech. Engine sound is completely normal because of direct injection ( Valve sound ) Great car in every way!!!!
Montenegrino X I agree it’s a great car. Great machine.
Exactly.
Yup
Does Honda 1.5t have oil dilution issues?
Do it by the maintenance reminder. Don’t follow the 5k every oil changes. Do what the manufacturer tells you.

dont worry about what people say bro do what you do at the end of the day they aint chipping in to help you get this stuff do what you like
GR SQUAD!! Thanks a lot man. Appreciate it!
If you post a video showing off your car then you have to expect both compliments and criticism.
J High agree
The best mod is hondata. It doesn’t hurt the reliability in any way. It increases the hp and torque quite a bit.
I really like what they did with this Accord I would just add three things.
1. Panoramic roof
2. More HP/torque
3. Hatchback like the stinger or a5
4. Better looking rear end
That's what Acura is for.
I agree with 1 2 and 4 and I would also add bird's eye view.
I agree about the back being improved but looking at past accords for their refresh they always change the back. They also need a 360 camera, the Camry offers it
The rear is hideous. I agree. Same goes for the civic 4 door.
They look better in person bro but tbh the best color for this car is a silver with tinted windows but this red one looks nice too
I got a LX, the turning radius for my car is pretty good honestly. I have the 17s so of course it may be different.
Josh morales dam lucky. On my car I always say “bitch turn” 😂
The engine noise is normal. ;)
Very nice bro!!! I bought my Honda Accord Sport 2.0T in September 2019. It's my 4th Honda...and love it! So far I've changed my oil once at 9,339 and paid $70. Some of the modifications that I've done:
1. Added a rear sports spoiler
Shesh i got a 2019 honda accord sport 1.5 what should i do to it
So when is it required to change the oil on these newer Honda Accords because this guy said he doesn't marry 3500 you said you did your first one a little over 9,000 miles On my 2016 Honda corporate touring or no I do it about 9500 when the oil life is about 10 and to 5% I got a A 135000 miles On my old 3 acratio Which is basically the same engine And I have 300000 miles I've always changed the oil at 15000 I've never had a problem with that motor which is the J32 and the Honda Accord Is touring has the J35
If your running full synthetic then you should be getting 6-8k or more out of an oil change.
yes I am, my oil changes are from the honda dealer and they are all synthetic, the accord only takes synthetic. I drive all city driving im not sure if that has to do something with it. people are getting 6k and 7k miles out of each oil change.

Cam Cordell indeed it is!
About the turning radius. I have this car except an EX. The wheelbase was extended by 2in which is why the turning radius is larger. The reason it was extended was to add more rear passenger legroom. The longer the distance between the front and rear wheels the larger the turning radius. It also improves that car stance and looks.
Kiril M nope you are wrong. The car is actually shorter by two inches. It’s two inches shorter than the previous year.
Yes the overall length of the car is shorter by 2in but the wheelbase is longer.@@Iegend17
Kiril M yes sir
I am waiting for 4wd honda accord.
Brincandopabajo once it comes out I am selling mine and buying one lol. I struggle in the snow. Plus it will freaking fast with AWD haha. Or a type R accord I will buy it right away
Annas Ahmad yes 4WD is amazing because if the AWD system is not needed you could switch it to 2WD, Beautiful Accord by the way
Dude-what-the-heck I am pretty sure Honda won’t put 4wd.
Honda would never put AWD on the Accord. It will kill the TLX.
iishyxvietxboyii1 actually it might! You know why ? Cuz the Altima has it and legacy has it. If Toyota puts it then Honda will for sure. They won’t give a shit about the TLX. The accord sales are going down so they will do it if they have to.
Too many oil changes
seriously oil change every 3500 miles, why??????
I heard they can go 7-8K miles per oil change.
Annas yes those Firestone tires are amazing in all season. I had them on my 9th Gen civic. Thread still good after 4 years. The key is to rotate more often.
You're one mod away before going FULL RICER and you never wanna go FULL RICER!
Captain Morgan what you mean lol ? You mean hondata ?
I got the same color...BEAUTY CAR 2 years ago.. still have it !!. I wrapped the spolier the roof black and did a chrome delete on the doors and front end ! ..yours sounds amazing!!
I love my 2018 accord sport.
If the stock tires are an issue in the snow, you should swap a set of narrower winter tires in for icy/snowy weather. It's fwd drive car so the turning radius will naturally be larger. You should've bought the 6 speed man! Overall, the car looks really good. I like the color
the engine sounds perfect! purrs like its supposed to.

Good review... The engine sound like diesel engines.. I wish Honda return the V6 again.
The new Honda Passport will still use the v6. So does odyssey, pilot, Ridgeline.
ozzie 305 yes for now haha.
You’re correct the sound is normal on the engine. It sounds the same on mine.
I have the 2018 EX-L. I love just about everything, but yeah...that turn radius really sucks. Especially because I came from a Toyota Sienna mini-van which has a LEGENDARY turn radius. That said, this is my favorite car ever.
DPhoto yes I do agree. My uncle has a 2009 sienna and it’s amazing. The engine is nice and responsive and it sounds amazing.
Great video! I have the exact same one (red, 2.0) and I love it. 2 things I've noticed with mine:
The screen completely becomes black then I hit the home button then it comes back up
Annas Ahmad exactly! Mine just resets and I see the Honda logo again. I’m gonna complain on my next oil change. Btw I like the carbon fiber look!
I actually like the tail lights. The entire back of the car.

I’m surprised people aren’t changing their own oil, it’s not too hard, doesn’t take too long, and is almost always cheaper

@5:04
Tires:
You purchased the "Sport" model of the Accord.
Cheers!
Well said

Hello, i have a great question. When you put your car on sport (if you do) when do you shift on the paddles, at what rpm. Cuz i started to go nuts on it and shifting at 4 and a half and now the valve gasket is leaking......lame
The computer CANNOT TELL the difference between Dino and full synthetic oil. You have to use common sense when changing oil. Synthetic can last longer depending on where and how you drive. 5000-7000miles is a good average for full synthetic. But I wouldn’t go much longer.
jim wuerl so u think I should wait. I drove 4000 miles so far and it’s on 5%
If its on 5% I would change it now , Mine wont hit 5% until the 7k mark if i run it out that long. usually i'm changing at 5k thats long enough especially if it shows signs of being dirty.
I believe the % indicates the quality of the oil not how much.

Why did you get an automatic and not a manual trans? 2.0 turbo coupled with a manual transmission would easily be a factory sleeper machine!
jim wuerl yes manual is so fun I know.
Honda crv’s and accords ♥️

They are great in all weather and I live in Georgia. Which we occasionally get snow in the Winter. I get good traction in all weather. Also you might need a new set of tires. Depending on how long the tires been on your car.
I work for michelin and they are deff the best tire on the market.
Late reply but I have the 1.5 Sport. I get 36 to 39, but I do a lot of highway and virtually no city driving.
I test drove that same exact model and i thought it was just me but the turning is something to get used to
I'm trying to figure out why are you changing the oil so much? These newer car don't need an oil change but once a year... maybe twice. Plus on full synthetic?
Gio S6 yes full synthetic. I don’t man I am listening to the computer. Everyone is telling the same thing you telling me. But the techs from Honda told me to listen to the computer. They said if I do a lot of city and drive aggressive then it needs to be changed around 3500-4000 miles. If I do a lot of highway then 7k miles. I am listening to the computer it’s my car. If I was leasing it trust me I would wait till 7k lol. But I am not leasing it.
@@Iegend17 ooooh! Ok makes sense. I dont know how full synthetic works. I just wanted clarification cause I was like damn that's a lot of oil changes haha
Gio S6 yes a lot of oil changes but I have 17k on the car haha.
How it’s held up after all these years ?
I sold it. I got a Tesla. No issues with the Tesla. With The accord there was so many oil changes. It gets expensive
@@Iegend17 hmm.. 🤔 I have the same as your old car but in black.. nowadays ANY used car can be had for a lot of money due to chip shortages. What Tesla did you get? I like the model Y but too expensive marked up by $20k.. model 3 perhaps? Do you ever miss your 2.0t accord??
damn nice video, i really want this car, my best friend got this car in a pearl white with black accents looks dope af👌🏻
Manny Hernandez thank you, appreciate it! White looks amazing!! It has like flakes or something in the paint. It makes it look sick. Only on the white thou. I wish mine had it haha.
Legend17 question. Did you pay all up front or into payments? Thinking about getting myself one soon in the future. But like the way im set up right now im start saving up even more just don’t know what to expect aha btw i subed!
Manny Hernandez first of I appreciate you subscribing! :)
I wish I had 30k to pay it all lol. I only put down 12500 down and my monthly payment is 300$ a month. Interest is 5%. Which isn’t bad at all because I am only 21.
Hey bud... Question: did you have an issu with the ACC or LKSA / CRUISE CONTROL? Mine Just did and appear the error in the panel suddenly. Thanks
Antonio de la Mora let me know if this is your issue.

My 3 year ownership of a 2016 Accord and a 2016 RCF
Oil change

If you're buying a Toyota/Lexus or Honda/Acura and your worries are reliability then you might as well go to GM/Any British Cars and ask them about reliability as well.
Hey man I am from CT too, great car!
Alexander Brunet dam haha. What city/town ? Thanks man appreciate it
@@Iegend17 I am up in Plainfield, the quiet corner of CT. Not too bad haha
After owning 2 turbo Subaru’s (WRX and XT) why did you upgrade your air filter? Air to fuel ratios are important for turbo charged cars and you just increased the air ratio without a tune.
Would that harm the engine? What do u think I should do ?
The stock air box is usually good enough for turbo cars unless you can flash your ECU to take advantage of the extra air flow. You could actually make less power because your ECU isn’t sure what to do with extra O2 in the cylinders. You would need to check civic/accord turbo forums for advise or a Honda shop. Turbo cars are heavy on engine CPU management and what works for naturally aspirated cars sometimes doesn’t crossover to forced induction.
There are companies starting to create CPU reflash for you car..

ktuner.com/accord-2l-extended-testing/
I would stick the stock airbox back on until you figure out which tune company is best for you. Good luck!
Benjamin Fajardo thanks a lot man. I will check it out. The car feels quicker with the air intake. And it feels like the car breathes much better.
How did you get heated seats on the Sport trim? Thought that was only available on the EX and above.
Richard Chen 2.0t not 1.5t
So glad Honda redesigned the new Accord's rear tail lights to not look like Office Space staplers lmao
Edit: Did you mention anything about exhaust?
There is a recall on the screen getting stuck. You should get it done takes a few minutes at the dealer.
Tim Bacchus I did it myself. Check out a newer video :)
Any way to pull cool air from outside the car into intake vs hot air from under the hood? I want to put a CAI on but not if it sucks hot air.
Now, me driving a Civic Type R FK8. But I love the Accord.
Alex21Type R Projekt type r is nice. I really wanted one. But I don’t like civic cuz they are small. I wanted a Honda and something big and something fast. So it’s the accord with type r engine
@@Iegend17 of course a good choice your Accord. 2.0 Turbo Accord around 250 HP? I don't know exactly but quick enough. I have a lot of Space in my Civic Type-R FK8. It's my Family Car, track car, race car and daily driver. Now on Stage 2, 370 HP. If you want, watch my 28 Videos about my FK8 :) keep Racing!
Alex21Type R Projekt Alex21Type R Projekt It has 252 HP and 273 torque. I am thinking to flash it soon. I was actually just looking at the website. Gonna do stage 2. It will increase the torque from 273 to something around 370ish. For horse power i herd only 50 HP. Yes I will make sure to check em out.
Turning radius for all Honda's the thing is that the tire turns left or right it doesn't tilt like BMW,Audi or Mercedes !
Norbert Murányi that’s not true. Because my 2013 accord and my dad’s civic 2018 are amazing. It’s only the 2018 accord. I drove a lot of cars. It’s just the Honda Accord 2018.
That noise is you're rockers it's from flooring it and getting on it. They need to be tightened down. It's no issue but you do want to tighten them.
I have an Accord 2018 EXL 1.5 Turbo with factory 17” and I have no problems doing U turns.
tweekingeye what car did you own before this ?
is it a touring 2.0 or normal touring also the sound system how is it ?
Where did you find your window rain cover visors i cant find any for my 2018 honda accord
Where did u buy the Carbon Fiber for the gearbox panel. Can u please send link it looks really nice thank u.
Herman Mann eBay. Just type carbon fiber wrap I don’t have the link sorry
Mobil oil full synthetic $25/5q + $7 oil filter can run about 5-7k miles.
can you tell me where you bought the rear side window covers
One thing I never could find out on my 2019 LX is just the front right wheel the power wheel or are both left and right receiving power from the engine?
Tim Bacchus what you mean ?
The cars are front wheel drives. Both or just one?@@Iegend17
The turning radius is so so, I just got it the same color 2.0 sport 2 days ago. My 2016 MDX, 2013 and 2010 TLs turning raidus were all better though. Nice rev!
I have a 2017 sport but it’s not the best of course. Day time and fog lights are LED but the rest are halogen. Not much tech inside at all. Want to put a nice head unit in but that will be later when I feel like paying for it. I’ll be tinting the windows this weekend at least.
Is your vehicle under the backup camera recall?
Andrew K yes I did get the notification on the app on my phone. I am gonna do it when I get my oil change.
Large wheelbase makes for large turning circle or turning radius
Terrence Benjamin yes sir. It sucks but whatever.
Like everything about mine . Only spent 30 dollars Mobil 1 did it myself. I changed it with 50 percent left with 5500 miles.
kevin kuc id rather a dealer do it for me so if they fuck up they fix it. I know an oil change is easy but why the headache. Plus cold asf I am not gonna do it in the cold. I go to the Honda dealer chill and drink coffee and sometimes I take my work laptop with me and I work from there. I get paid while my oil is being changed :)
Can we get a new vid of two years of ownership? Thanks
I love my car the only issue i have is i cant tell if my highbeams are on i flip them on and notice no difference in the lighting do i need a bulb for my highbeams? I have the 1.5T sport model
Melinda Cardoso did you get it used ? Definitely go to the dealership. To turn on the high beam you have to push the stick to the front
Sounds gorgeous
Since you're from Connecticut where did you purchase the car at and how much do you pay for the car
Legend17 wow! That’s not too bad. The cost of your car is around the cost of the EX-L. Hmmm I may look into it
Where did you got the visors?
I have a 2018 Accord Touring but why doesn’t mine have the buttons for the PRND? Mine has the gear shifter itself.
Chris Villarreal cuz you have the 1.5t the 2.0t come with the button shifter.
I really hope you upgrade the exhaust w the 2.0
Where you get those side rear window louvers please.
Youre worried about Oil change prices? Here in Vancouver BC, were more concerned with rising car insurance costs, and cost of living in general lol
Zesty Comps cost of living is increasing everywhere lol. My accord I bought it $300 cheaper than the 2019 lol. For the same car the from 2018 to 2019 price went up 300$. Same design nothing new was added to it
