I feel like it was just a game when it was straight out of the box for the GC. Now I watch these characters in summit skits, twitter fueds, different games. Haha I wish everybody had the same stance on everything I believe in, but it just isn't like that. That being said, I use melee to propagate what I believe in since I'd rather not move into the world of politics and debate that jazz.
Long story short: I'm studying for a really big test in December and giving you a detailed answer sounded way more fun than learning about Addison's disease.

This hbox hate has gotten old. And I was never a fan of him. My first impressions of him way back in the day where he's an ass but maybe it was a little Justified by how he's always treated. He's improved as a person all around and I can't hate on somebody who's improving. The hate used to be somewhat understandable but now it's just scrub talk for the most part. I may not be a fan of him but his spacing, patience, and rank make it hard not to respect what he's done. Especially against the players he's doing it against. Not a single person complaining can do that with his character.
I respect your position greatly, and the reasons for it.
Those are the reasons why I'm a huge fan of HBox, and I'm glad that, as someone who's not, you're respectful about it.

See... This is why I think, Hbox is an amazing Smash player. Looking at him from the start, you would never think, "he's going to win." Zain is playing with a better character, with a serious stock lead. Puff is ridiculously easy to kill. There's no way in a million years he could ever win. And yet. SIKE. HUNGRYBOX WINS. And it blows my mind every time. Clutchpuff indeed.

It was intense because it was close. The slow gameplay has nothing to do with it. If either of them had won 3-0 or 3-1 it would have been boring as fuck thanks to the typical puff gameplay.

I was barely seeing this set since I had to take care of some business. I took glances here and there of this set and thought that, though it was close, Zain was going to win. (Hbox is my favorite Smash player so I was rooting for him, but I really love watching Zain too.) When Hbox won game 4, I couldn’t believe it. And game 5, on the last 15 seconds of the match, I literally finished my business, grab my phone and see the percents. I was thinking in how Hbox lost already, and Hbox does the wall of pain to Zain to seal the set. I couldn’t believe how close that set was. I watched the vod and my goodness what a set. Definitely my favorite set of the tournament.

@@topdeckkek2266 Who says "he has to work harder"? The puff is a character that over the 50% mark it dies with AAAAANYTHING. It's floaty which makes it very easy to juggle, kill and what not. His wavedash/land isn't as good as the typical fox, falco and marth plus, if it ever gets its shield broke by accident it instantly dies. The Rest attack needs to be super precise otherwise it's just a guaranteed stock loss. I mean all it has is that it can juggle and float forever wooow -Slowly claps- One crucial advantage over million of disadvantages.
Yeah...Zayn works harder tho. Get out of here, both men work hard on their characters, people just hate the H.box puff because it can stall, it can juggle and he uses it in a way that makes games slower yet most of the time he takes the win

No he didn't it was literally one mistake at the end from where he landed right in Hbox. He was actually playing near perfect, so many almost kill confirms at the end, just Hbox barely getting out.

Zain believed in his ability to the very last seconds, I doubt he at one point though "fuck it", what he did do is di terribly.

It's incredible that people hate Jigglypuff when Marth can kill her at 50% somewhat consistently and covers up three times of her size with his sword. This is optimization, but this definitely seemed unfair for Jigglypuff, and is.
Puff can kill most of the cast pretty consistently at 50% what are you on about? Also, literally every top tier character is outranged by Marth and has to find ways to get in; that's the entire point of the matchup! Puff at least has the fastest aerial drift in the game and massive hitboxes for bair and uair. Peach has it infinitely worse than Puff. Samus too. ICs need to find a way in using wavedash speed. Marth spaces everyone out, it doesn't mean he wins every matchup.

Honestly, I understand Hbox apologized on twitter to Zain. But his sportsmanship in the moment matters and this just highlights why people do not really respect Hbox, he has no reason to do that to someone who made this match respectable. Pop offs are my favorite thing but they normally follow with a handshake. The sportsmanship he shows is just getting old at this point, and that is why I don't like Hbox.

Yeah its so fucking shameful. I mean you're completely right, the character can lose neutral for minutes and not die and most characters fast moves that can connect do not kill. Zain had the opportunity for some forward smashes that would have connected to end the game but I completely understand the reason for not taking the opportunity. Then he got hit off stage and died, I'd like to see some PTAS if there was anything Zain could have done to avoid that bair string.
Puff is a dishonest character. She is nearly impossible to gimp but her whole play style revolves around gimping and early kills.
