It's been a while since I had time to really sink my teeth into a new WRPG, but this one definitely appeals; it has that old "MS DOS" look and feel in spades. :)
Not my speed but i'm always pro for indie/undermarketed games to be showcased. I dunno if you saw my other comment but i named a few upcoming trpgs to watch out for: Metal slug tactics, crown wars, reverse collapse: codename bakery and kriegsfront tactics. I think after your CARDS RPG stream, it would be nice to see fell seal revisited. Unless of course you pick up 13 sentinels already.
Yeah, not everyone's cup o' tea but I was enjoying so thought I'd do something different in between trpgs. Yeah, I've actually taken a look at demos for kriegsfront and codename bakery both before. I've been keeping my eye on metal slug too, looks like it finally has a release window for this fall, but it's been delayed several times so we'll see. Fell seal might be a good choice, but I've also thought of some oldies I never played like shining force since it's on the switch's online service.
@@89Games for sure. i think the occasional foray into deckbuiders, crpgs, jrpgs or arpgs would be good for the channel. whatever you enjoy. too bad the bakery game has no demo on switch. i want to try it out. personally, i enjoyed your RR stream. it motivated me to put RR on top of my re-play list. even moreso than UO, I'm currently playing MUA3 but after that i'm thinking about fell seal so that's why i asked about it. if i dont get fell seal next, i'd probably just re-play RR/UO to save up on expenses at least until autumn. I'd still highly recommend 13 sentinels for coverage in this channel. if i see a sale, i'll let you know.
@@TheRobversion1 yeah, your praise for 13 sentinels has it on my list for sure. I'm keeping the RR stream open too. I think I have too many pans in the fire though lol. I hate starting a game on stream and then switching gears when something newer or more popular comes out. If only I could stream more often lol
@@89Games hahah. i think just finish CARDS 1st. that's newer and it wont be long. then you can get back to RR or do something new. for sure though, you'll have time to slot in other things later in the year. i was checking upcoming trpgs 2024 on the switch and no big projects caught my eye outside of metal slug tactics. everything else is more indie like bakery or kriegsfront or crown wars. so there would be definitely slots for you to go back to any older games you want to promote. 13 sentinels i think would be a quick cover for the channel/dont stream outside of the early parts as you may not want to spoil the GOAT-level story for people. like maybe 1 stream for the early game and 1 tips/build discussion vid (or 4 short ones if you want to split the vids among the 4 classes or maybe 2 with 2 classes each) and 1 general review/thoughts.
Thanks! And yeah thought I'd do something a little different. Sometimes I need a break from just trpgs so I like to branch out into adjacent categories.
ditto. you found your next game post-UO already? i went ahead and bought MUA3 and CARDS RPG. finished cards in like 15 hours. snappy game. wish it was longer as it was fun. found someone who sold me a brand new copy for $33. for MUA3, that same guy sold me his 2nd hand copy for $12. currently playing MUA3 now. i've got fell seal next after this. i'll be watching out for a sale.
@@TheRobversion1 yeah, I think it's fun. It's a faster pace crpg with a tighter focus. Each area offers like maybe 2 or 3 side quests and they're relatively quick to do so it keeps things moving. I like the smaller scope as modern crpgs are awesome I think, but just so darn long I lose focus and interest before I can finish them
@@89Games agreed. i enjoyed BG3 thoroughly but it was just too damn long. games likes CARDS are too short. i think the right balance is about 40-50H of gameplay. though tbh with great QOL games like UO, i didnt notice i was clocking in 100s of hours. divinity original sin 2 was highly recommended to me but i cant just seem to push myself to get it because of the hours i've seen people log online on it. i do trust larian so i know it's good but i'm at the point where i want most of my games to be snappy like cards rpg, UO and 13 sentinels.
@@TheRobversion1 yeah, agreed on all. DOS2 is a good play, but it's one of those crpgs that I started about 50 times and only actually got passed the intro area once lol. Tons of build variety, so much so that I got analysis paralysis. Still a game I want to go back to and playthrough one day, but just like you, the length just kills me.
I played this game, it is AWESOME. Great review!!!
Great review. I will buy it after watching your review. Kudos to you
Awesome! Hope you enjoy it.

For sure. Reminds me of simpler times lol
