nice to know they worked on octopath. just to re-share here my deck strat that i shared on stream:
    1. 50 card deck for more options.
    2. avoid 3 cost cards.
    3. use steel shield's on your designated melee dmg dealers.
    4. pick def boost on strategist board.
    5. my designated melee dmg units are the mobile ones (scout, captain)
bonus: since you draw 5 cards to start, its best to ensure that 40-60% of your deck are attack cards to ensure you have an attack card in your opening hand. so for a 50 card deck, you want 20-30 to be attack cards if you want to draw 2-3 attack cards in your opening hand.
top 5 cards i populated my deck with 5+:
    1. trick attack (this is my bread and butter attack that allows me to dig through the deck too).
    2. armor of steel (defensive card which i used to also buff my trick attack dmg).
    3. left to fate (possibly a 0 cost attack card or another armor of steel lite buff to both my defense and offense with trick attack)
    4. source of power (multiple actions)
    5. plead mercy (great 0 cost way to reduce dmg so you can allot your cost for attacking more).
honorable mention: greater defensive shield (IMO the best cost for value defensive card).
and remember when you win to say: "ANOTHER VICTORY FOR MY MUSCLES!"

@@89Games just did another demo run. 3 new insights i'd share:
      1. I think voltage is XP.
      2. I think speed is accuracy. The one that typically has a miss for me is mr. Muscles who has low speed.
      3. i tried combining your approach with mine and i say it performed better. Main difference is i skipped all the archer-only cards but i got at least 5 of throwing stones and the ranged-boost attack. Helped my archer perform better. I still kept my setup though of working around left to fate, trick attack, armor of steel, pleas for help and source of power. What i ended up removing are the other attack cards (starter, the low hp=more dmg, the sacrifice hp=more dmg, the extra dmg on 2nd fight, poison). So the only atk cards i where trick attack (almost 10), throwing stones, the ranged boost one, strength of arms weak, strength of arms strong.

Thought i'd share my "ideal' deck given the cards we can access in the demo:
    50 card deck
    attacks (25):
10 trick attack (or as many as i can get)
5 throwing stones (round out with ranged boost if lacking)
10 strength of arms: weak (ideally, sub in 5 or less strength of arms: strong)
    defensive (15):
    2 muscles of steel
    2 defensive shield: weak
    4 plead for mercy
    5 armor of steel
    2 restorative potion
    utility (10):
5 left to fate (can act as an attack or a defensive card)
    5 source of power

The name is pretty bad (sounds like one of those fake mobile adds) but it looks good and fun to play.

I can second this. I've already gone through the demo 3x and i'm looking to go in a 4th time. Theres very few games that i play the demo more than once (like unicorn overlord).
If you can be accepting that this is an indie and you like trpgs or deckbuilders, you'll realize that this is an underrated gem. Might not be worth a day 1 buy @40.but IMO its worth the pickup @30.
