    My dad was a very bad man, if you get my meaning. In the 80s in nyc, he had a reputation. I would have to tell you in private one day if we ever meet. But still, he was a dedicated martial artist and a powerful street fighter. I admired his skill, though I hate what he did to himself... his behavior was immoral. I myself live a better and moral life than he did, and to this day, I practice martial arts almost religiously and think myself a pretty good dad.
    There was no way I was going to judge Bruce Lee for his flaws... he was still a martial arts genius and in that area of his life, I admire him!

I have a question Alex - if you could ask three questions of three people in the martial arts - either present or in the past - who would you ask and what would you like to know? Thanks to you and the team for keeping my days bright and sparkly over here in the Black Forest.

    Only catching this one now 👌 mighty stuff! My first non Bruce lee related question 😂kind of a two parter, through my years of martial arts training, I believe there is a lot of students with major false confidence walking around a lot of schools or dojo’s, mainly due to their own lack of willingness to test their abilities against other students either in sparring or competition,or poor instruction. They are happy to stay within their confines of such, yet they somehow are mystified when it comes to stop swimming on dry land and actually swim for real. They either freeze or cannot apply what they know. Have you seen much of this in Wing Chun or do you think it varies depending on the art? where with some you cannot fake it, eg judo, wrestling, bjj where most of the time the students are learning by doing, throwing , rolling etc? Thanks in advance 🙏

    Of course I prefer watching actual Bruce Lee movies! But there's some good Brucesploitation movies like Big Boss 2 with dragon Lee. You get to see him fight Hitler stash bolo since Bruce never actually never fought bolo in his films.
    Dragon Lee is my favorite because he doesn't use the name Bruce and he's really skilled and super buff. I like watching them because it's like what if Bruce Lee was a little bit more muscular and put a little bit of Comedy into his movies. Also What if Bruce Lee put some more taekwondo kicks into the choreography like Bruce Li. Plus you got to realize a lot of these movies were made out of a love for Bruce Lee and Jeet kun do. That's why a lot of people that starred with Bruce Lee or new Bruce Lee chose to be a part of these movies. It was a way of keeping the spirit of Bruce Lee alive longer.

    Sifu Alex, Quentin "QUIT IT" Tarantino handled The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood Fiasco in poor, poor judgment. Virtually everything about the movie was fictional. If he had his 🧠 lasagna on at the right temperature his diplomacy would present " it's art imitating life." In a parallel universe, The Manson kids went to the wrong 🏡! The fictional character Rick Dalton demanded the kids to leave the area!! Instead of going to the Pulaski resident, they went to The Dalton's 🏡 & encountered someone who can fight back & they were killed. At end of 🎥 Jason Sebring, Sharon Tate's friend ( in our universe ✨ he was slayed) spoke to Dalton , Rick explained what happened. Their a science fictional parallel reality tune towards which tells all comic book 📖 geeks 🤓 ( myself included) this was a different reality!! That's all Tarantino should have said! Now he may NEVER use Bruce's image ever again because of his total lack of common sense🧠

    That 1st dude needs to chill. Bruce is the God of Martial Arts, hate it or love it. Bruce's passion, innovation, drive, talent and fate can never be recreated again and that's why he's the Legend. Why did Tom Bleeker hate Bruce so much? Is there any legitimacy to that book? I read it years ago. Also, I am no longer a Tarantino fan anymore because of his stance and depiction of Bruce

Bruce achieved a hell of a lot in his short life and especially putting up with the racism . And all the different topics in his life will keep one from getting tired of his achievement's because there are so many different directions he took in his life . 22:56 to be fair, the whole point of a conspiracy is that it's as believable as possible, so if KFG feels that the way these letters are written are believable and don't appear to be what you'd expect from a conspiracy, isn't that exactly what a conspiracy's supposed to achieve?
    Im not saying I think it's a conspiracy. For the record I believe those letters are real. But KFG's argument here doesn't really work. The whole point of a conspiracy is not to give too much, nor too little. A conspiracy is deliberately presented in a way you wouldn't imagine it would be if it were to be a conspiracy.
    This was in 2021, right? Word gets out. It doesn't matter if it didn't hit the mainstream media/press. Online word of mouth will make it spread and again, makes it all the more believable because it's not presented in a "here's the bloody knife, murder note and hair sample all nice and neat in one single box" type of fashion. It's an underground, believable piece of information that will spread. That's professional, intelligent conspiracy. It lets intrigue do most of the job for it.

    • @TheKungFuGenius
      @TheKungFuGenius  10 месяцев назад

      Not really, any conspiracy thrown without a shred of evidence gets traction simply because people say it or post it online. Claims require positive evidence and no one is obligated to give a theory credit solely because someone said it.

      The point is why give any conspiracy any air to breathe if it's not based on anything? Having to answer ridiculous ones (like the Tarantino one in this episode) is what I find so tiresome about the Bruce Lee world.

      Cortisone is a corticosteroid which is for reducing inflammation - it is not an anabolic steroid. You don’t get jacked from taking cortisone.

    Ohhh my the first question potentially sounds like someone who is a forum poster on the "Shaolin Chamber" forums. I would bet money (not that it matters) that he's a practitioner of Hung Gar and comes from Lau Kar-Leung's lineage. The fact that Bruce took drugs doesn't make me less of a fan and it actually makes me respect him more, it shows that he is human like us. We all have flaws and problems. No one is perfect. Look at other icons like Elvis, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin etc. they all were known drug users and people don't think any less of them. I think the Venoms, the Lau Brothers etc. have been covered rather generously on other RUclips videos and articles over the past 20 years. They don't get the same exposure but they also don't have the same fanbase that Bruce does. Please do an episode on Sho Kosugi, never knew you were also a fan.
