Pete, I may have mentioned this 2 or 14 times, but your videos are an absolute ray of light. Wed and Sun have become the parts of my week where I feel the most spontaneous joy, waiting for and then watching your videos. I know that YouTubing can be rough sometimes, and I just wanted to take another opportunity to thank you earnestly for the work you put in. You don't owe me a thing, but you deliver twice a week anyway.
I do believe that eating food from happy farmers does have to make a difference in health. You add a good energy to everything you create and make the world and the people in it happier. Thank you.
@@bgatlin5918Well strictly speaking, humans have significantly bioengineered the original aurochs, the wild cow of Asia. Those animals were big, they were spectacularly aggressive killers, they ate grass no need for grain, like buffalo. Quite a bit of herd instinct has been bred out of them, and intelligence. They were simply too dangerous. Periodic attempts have been made to recreate the original breed, starting oh about the early 1900s. Every time the program has been stopped at about 7/8 completion. Too big,too aggressive. But yeah, who do you trust with modern bright ideas.
Congratulations Pete. You are a wealthy man, having joy in your work, love in your life and a vocation that nourishes your neighbors. That’s all anyone needs but you go a step further by sharing it in video form. Your generosity and kindness is the best example imaginable. Nicely done!!
Just before you said "Chomp that food stuff" I was realizing I was enjoying the sounds of them tearing the grass. I al;ways enjoyed that sound of them tearing the grass when we lived in the country and had two calves at at time. //but it was always the pigs that wanted their head and back scratched. Really enjoy your videos.
Pete, I really enjoy your positive attitude and common sense approach to market farming. Both You and Hilarie obviously enjoy the beef, chicken and egg production operations. Along with Hay and Pasture Maintenance . Also the positive inter action with your customers at the Ithaca New York Farmers Market. along with the wonderful videos that all us fans of Just A Few Acres Farm. Thank You !!!
Your portrayal of a perfect midsummer day all around the farm is wonderfully evocative and serene. The way you capture the beauty and tranquility of farm life during this idyllic time of year reflects your deep appreciation for the simple joys of rural living. Your attention to the details of the day, from the lush surroundings to the peaceful moments, truly brings the farm to life and invites us to share in the bliss of a perfect summer day. My daddy, who was a banker, taught me that the greatest possible return on an investment is enjoyment. Thank you for concentrating on maximizing the enjoyment dividends of your farm, and for reminding us that enjoyment is what matters most.
Hey Pete, just wanted to say you have such amazing and informative videos on RUclips. I enjoy the way you bring about information, and how it is things we all can use to help make our lives better. Enjoy seeing all the animals around the farm, watching the tractors till across the fields as you are making hay. Love watching the cows fuss at you when you are not fast enough getting them on new grass.
Pretty close to a perfect morning in Wisconsin too. We put in about 3000 small squares in the last week. Today after chores, I think I'm taking the day off and going to the county fair..... Heck with it. PS farm as a pipeline.... For us, from the udder to the carton or jug . Now that that is in my head maybe we keep the cows a little bit longer. It feels like a renewed purpose.
I notice that Patti's calf is growing. Is it a keeper? She always amazes me, she really does recognize you, Pete. Thanks for sharing. Ordin and Titus are pretty neat too.
It’s so nice to see back again mate and as always one more great video like you always do all the best to you and your family and your friends always thanks again for sharing your amazing videos. It’s so amazing how you and your Wife work together love it my friend love to you all and your families and your friends.
Pete, we LOVE Patty. Orten and Titus are favorites too. Other than you and Hilary, they are the mainstays of the farm. Thank you. P.S. Dont want to leave Ezra out either.
Hi Pete and Hilarie, and thank you so much for another inspiring video. I love the name given to the Chicken 'Mad-eye Moody'. This was a character from Harry Potter played by my fellow Irishman and wonderful actor Brendan Gleeson. Hope you both have a great week. Kiind wishes - Paul.
Been thinking about y’all this week with all the bad weather up there. Glad you’re doing fine. Also, heard a corny “dad joke” this week and immediately thought of Pete. 🤣 Great video today.
Really so tempted to just "drive on over" there to NY from here in New Hampshire ~ NH and VT have improved the road from Keene to Troy so access to those roads around Schenectady to eventually cut to Ithaca is better. Yea. Just to tell you guys what a huge huge fan I am. But then I think "no no no" "don't bother them." Just a "selfie." Maybe I'd buy a ribeye steak and then keep it in my freezer as a souvenir. People are crazy. I guess that's me. Nothing but gratitude. Thank you. ~~~ Mr. Not Worthy from New Hampshire. 〰✨🌿👍🌿✨〰

Always great to see you Pete I look forward to anything that you get into. Also a little side note I can’t wait to see you work on the international truck
Is there a chance you will ever post a video of the chicken processing? You and Hill have got to be experts in your trade! It would be fun to see a short video of the process you use.
The things we take for granted. We once did a 3 day stay on Maui Hawaii and they had Coqui frogs there, I slept like a baby. The locals however were the opposite. Called them invasive and still trying to get rig of them lol.
"Failure to plan is a plan to fail". I don't know who said that, but it is very true, and you and Hilarie do an excellent job of looking ahead and making a plan. Being an architect is all about planning. So, you came to Just A Few Acres Farm well prepared because farming is also about planning ahead. Thanks for a relaxing Sunday morning video. I hope to some day visit the Farmers market. It's a long drive from Nebraska but I love a good road trip.
Pete thanks so much for your videos, honestly I am amazed of all that you do, I do a lot of yard work and and lots of odds and end of stuff for old people and really joy the beauty of the great outdoors. I really appreciate you.

Love, just Love your farm.! What a special lifestyle. I bet you could order up a couple of hogs at the butcher to put up for yourself. That's what my grandma+ grandpa used to do when it was too much to raise them. I was young and gave them fits about keeping the hogs, and not letting them go to the butcher!. I was real bad about letting any animals go so... They just told me they were going to find a boy, or girl friend. It worked.
Like chuck roast , only better. I like that description. I've been wondering if it wasn't time for the bulls. After 3 years watching your business I've begun to expect your schedule. Thank you Pete.

It sure looks like a beautiful day there, the grass clipping is one thing that my wife, youngest son and I try to keep up better with this year. It's nice to see a field turned from the old dead looking stalks to a plush green field of vibrant vegetation. Enjoyed the video, thanks for sharing and I hope your day is going good!
I am so excited to see you and Hillary. I bet your meat is so excellent. Our family owns about 300 cattle and our own small processing facility where we process 10-15 head each day. They are also mostly grass fed with a handful being minimally grain fed per customer request. We combine local growers to incorporate fresh milk and produce in our three store fronts.
