Can't think of a better word to describe it. But then with a single swear that totally changes, and you get the feeling that it's not so much melancholy, but rather a very sad, very emotional anger. You get the sense that something's wrong. And then the *see* line comes in, and it all ties back together. The f-bombs foreshadow it without making it obvious. Masterful.

I studied classical piano and could sight read music from the age of 8. I did exams at the Victorian Conservatorium of Music and played publicly. Until I discovered boys and that was the end of the piano. But it still does things to my heart to hear it in such a stunningly beautiful song, with the voice and the lyrics that go with it. I know that Ronnie watches these but wonder if he knows the power of his lyrics, voice and musicianship and the affect that it has on some people. I’m not young anymore but am so glad to have found this band. The emotional pull on my soul is so strong listening to this that I want to cry. Thank you Ronnie, this is magical and only Pink Floyd have ever had this effect on me throughout my life.

I studied classical piano and could sight read music from the age of 8. I did exams at the Victorian Conservatorium of Music and played publicly. Until I discovered boys and that was the end of the piano. But it still does things to my heart to hear it in such a stunningly beautiful song, with the voice and the lyrics that go with it. I know that Ronnie watches these but wonder if he knows the power of his lyrics, voice and musicianship and the affect that it has on some people. I’m not young anymore but am so glad to have found this band. The emotional pull on my soul is so strong listening to this that I want to cry. Thank you Ronnie, this is magical and only Pink Floyd have ever had this effect on me throughout my life.
