Merc has never been the same since the passing of Niki Lauda, that is when the downfall started behind the scenes, all the brain drain. All the mistakes made in concept, I don’t think these things happen if Niki was still there.

I don’t agree with your opinion….Merc got it wrong with the regs and it is as simple as that. Niki was an absolute legend but he ain’t an engineer. After his death, the next year Merc made the fastest f1 car ever in 2020. It’s stupid to make polemics like that. There’s a big possibility they get the regs right in 2026 and are back in front with the engines and stuff, then who we gonna credit or discredit. I’m sure Niki would have made some better changes in the team here and there but Red bull and Max as a team+driver have been too strong.
Niki musta been rotating in his grave over the absurdity of staffing Sir Jimmy's "America's Cup boatyard" with Mercedes F1 engineers. ;)

Cam I don’t know about you but I’m so happy to be back to a proper Sunday race-only weekend format. Sprint weekends are manic. These cars need three proper practices to tune.

Newey to McLaren? Only one way I can see this happening. Mercedes is leaving "Ineos F1" and join McLaren for a works partnership again (Boy, would Zak LOVE this ;). Newey has no interest dealing with inferior customer engines and all the disadvantages that come with it. Himself and Horner moved mountains back then to get out of the Renault partnership and land the Honda deal after RBR got downgraded from works partner to mere customer status when Renault came back into F1 in 2016.
As for Mercedes, of course they're badly hampered. Hamilton very much shut out from any developments and, I believe, Mercedes may now even holding back on certain planned upgrades as to give nothing away to Sir Lewis' new employer. It's just an awful situation, no two ways about it.
Eddie Jordan can't keep a secret deliberately or not, so when he mentions Zac I would imagine it's a done deal.

After FP2 & listening to what James A had to say about the upgrades and the general performance of the car. I’m more optimistic that better days are on the very near horizon for Mercedes and we might even begin to see that from Imola onwards. Remember I called it!
It would be catastrophic if that were the case. If F1 continues as is, we might as well cease watching F1 altogether.
Apologies to Lando fans! In my opinion, the recent victory achieved by Lando may be considered an isolated occurrence rather than an indication of consistent future success, unless Adrian ends up in Mclaren then that's a different story.

Adrien is going to want to recreate that feeling of getting a new team to glory. There’s only one team that checks off all the boxes, Andretti. That team is being willed into existence for the new regulations, and will give Adrian a dump truck full of cash.
Newey won’t go to Ferrari as he’s already said he doesn’t want to be one of the people having to carry Pensioner Lewis to the car. As Newey said “I’m too old to for that sort of thing”.
Why do you only make petty or hateful comments? I’m curious how you looked at 40. I’m guessing nowhere near as good as a pensioner.
