I have looked hard at this Tractor and also prefer the gear drive. The Kubota Dealership near me are asking several thousand dollars more than other Kubota Dealerships. The salesman argued with me about lifting capacity for five minutes while sitting at his desk looking at his computer. Come to find out he was looking at the metric system and saying lbs. Couldn’t believe it. Mason Tractor. I had only bad experiences with them. Went and purchased 2 LS Tractors.
It looks like its a Kubota thing! It seems we have the same likes and diss likes. I added extra grab handles to my right rear fender, i also hung my canopy just a few days after i got it (not as bad as yours 😯) i have added LED light bars and rear view mirrors. i got a new 6 foot bush-hog with mine, trust me you will have no problem at all pulling it. Yes the side link should be crank and not screw type. They make a crank type but I'm not giving what they want for it!$$ I also added a fire extinguisher mounted it were the orange triangle goes. I wish they would have added a tilt wheel...im gonna add a electric wench to the front soon. good video! yall be safe.
I Realy would of liked that the "Kubogy dealership " would of "knocked-off" the 45cents that the same toolbox REALLY Costed. With the MX5200 ,TLB configuration ( very similar to the L4701-2) is has operated flawlessly for 6years & 1056 hours.... & YES ,it's Gear drive! For the "measlely " 1800$ over the L 4701 it included a Right grab handle, class 1-2 Extendable lower link-ends ( = TOTALLY Eliminateing the need for ANY "quicky-hitcheys " of ANY DESIGN ),a 30% stronger loader ( more capacity)+ with amplifying bucket-linkage assembly ( for efficiently loading & dumping characteristics)[ wouldn't own a tractor without them], PLUS 7 more horsepower ( MX5200's have 54hp not 52hp) WITH The TURBOCHARGER ! + a heavier duty double-trused front axle with "wide-glide " front tires, a 9.6 gpm pump over the 7.8 gpm pump that The L4701 comes with .The "Buck-board" seat got Elevated 3" for visability & ride quality& the Safty switch immediately got "wired-back". Never needed the "Brody-knob"( yes the Stearing wheel drifts), because one finger or light palm pressure turns the whole rig super easy. ditch the bush hog for a flail mower. i run a 72" woodmaxx flail mower on my L4701, and ive been through thick THICK wet stuff and it didnt even notice it.
