I totally agree about the strength of candles. Yankee really did have some kind of alchemy magic. They had candles that were so strong that you could have all your windows open and ONE candle would scent your whole house. At the same time you could be sitting at the table it was sitting on and not have the scent choking you out or tasting the scent. When Homeworx first started up they had Yankee kind of strong candles but they were heavy in the air. I also agree that 100% soy wax dulls scent notes causing an overall muffled fragrance profile
Hi Serita! I’m just starting this video and wanted to say how much I like your longer videos! I cannot say the same for any other RUclipsr (except the fabulous Andrew Huberman and a few like him). I vacuumed my house on Sunday listening to the Homeworx video and cooking dinner listening to this one. Your content is like listening to a conversation- don’t change a thing about your format! 😊
Nice empties. I really enjoyed Barbados Spiced Rum during the Summer. Dried Lavender & Oak (I have plenty of it's hanging paper car fresheners) and Seaside Woods as well are wonderful scents in their collection. I did notice that two of their Christmas 2024 candles: Parisian Holiday Brunch and North Pole Hideaway are online only at Kohl's. Ross is carrying Chocolate Chip Cannoli (with a gold colored leaf charm), Salted Caramel, and Whipped Pumpkin Spice (Bonfire Collection) right now. I'd love to try Clarity. Happy burning. Btw, nice Melanie impression, spot on lol.
I commented in that Live with Mick Kittredge, Yankee's Chocolate Layer Cake has always been the 10. Burn it just an hour, and your home is filled and the neighbors can smell it. It then lingers all day. I find that one stronger than even all the ones I burned in the 80s and 90s.
I remember the strong one wick Yankee candles. But, it makes me wonder what they put in them to make them so strong and if it was healthy for the environment and people. I remember Mick saying at one time when Yankee was under his father’s ownership they literally put rocket fuel in the candles to make them strong. 🚀
Thank you for sharing your monthly home fragrance. Classic Yankee Candle Harvest was so strong; much tamer in recent years. The Kringle/Country paraffin candle you’re looking for can be found where you listed. (My first comment was apparently deleted.) 🤷♀️ Happy Autumn! R🍁
@@coffeecandles3359 yeah i must say i have hardly 0 issues with yankees signature jars. Tumblers tend to soot bit but the jars i dunno if its the design but yeh that one u had is crazy deffo something up with them wicks

I feel so validated that the classic Yankee jars and the signature jars smell different because I’ve been saying that for like a year lmao

Thank you! Yeah at first I felt horrible about it but a lot of people actually love it - they don’t have to switch videos as often 🤣

Happy October Sarita. Another great video. Love your stories❤

Yesssss - I’m not a gourmandie, so I didn’t know that. But there are definitely 10’s out there, at least historically!!
PREACH!!!! ❤

Yay I’m gonna go look! 👀
Wait, where can they be found???? I miss the paraffin Kringles so much!
@@Ruffles2012 There are online resellers such as eBay, Facebook Marketplace, & Mercari that list all kinds of items.
@@ReillyWildeah okay, thanks!
@@Ruffles2012 Apparently 41:58 is ok to say in video, but not in comments (2 of my comments were removed). Good luck. 🍀
I always feel like Kringle scent smells “watered down” 😅😅 maybe it’s the all soy.
I think it is
So i think a lot of additives in candles from the 90s that made them so strong are not regarded as safe anymore. Thats probably why candles are weaker
Could be?? That said, if it were so, I feel like there would be a whole lot more info about it!
Seaside woods i hate that one but do u trim ur wick’s cos that sooting is insane!!! 😂😂😂
Of course! Yeah that was a weird one

@@DannyBoy89 yeah I feel bad it happened to a candle I reviewed be auSe it’s crazy unusual for that to happen to a Yankee - of any kind
