I actually worked on My Girl. I was a props assistant and refurbished a lot of the bikes that the kids rode in the movie. I was also involved in the scenes at the fair (Orlando Fairgrounds), the streets of Sanford and the Bingo game. The interiors of the Sultenfuss home/funeral home were shot in a warehouse on west Sand Lake Road. The interior sets were amazing. There were three floors including the basement embalming room. The basement, first floor and second floor were all separate sets. The garage interior was also in the warehouse and Shelly's RV was brought in when they shot inside it. Jaws 3D used the same warehouse during that production. My Girl was a fun film to work on!
Welcome to Bartow florida and I'm glad that you made it is the best place in Bartow and I'm glad that you made it enjoy all of downtown Bartow this is my hometown
Hey Jordan I believe that is a carriage stop out in front on the street with a step block to get down from the carriage. I had almost forgotten about this movie. Dan ackroyd did a very good job in this movie. Thanks for brightening my day! Prostate cancer!! Too funny. I liked Vetas character pretty adult at times but a really well written part. Plant City... Pacifist!! Bed Wetter!! Kinda sad movie in parts. Good movie to see again..
I love that the homeowners embrace the movie filmed at their home. Also very nice the people allowed you to go to the tree location. I love your filming location vlogs. This was another great one.
I LOVE this movie. Such a beautifully done, bittersweet film. I admit it, I cry every single time I watch it. Thank you so much for this excellent vlog, Jordan. Very much appreciated!!!
Jordan you picked the coldest week here in florida.you should have way more subs.you do very interesting vlogs - very interesting & you can tell much thought goes into them.contiued success to you & little jah!!
Aww, this brought some childhood memories back. I always wanted to have a mood ring like Veda back then and I remember how much I cried because Thomas J. died... A wonderful movie and so amazing to see that tree!
Jordan - Another get film locations video. You hit so places. What a lot of leg work and research. The tree at the end brought the whole movie back. Thank you so much Jordan. Blessings - Judith 🎵🎭
Hey Jordan...thank you so much for reminding me how much I loved this movie! Also, loved ALL of your Buddy Holly vid's. as well. You are an amazing blessing in a time of otherwise confusion.
Jordan, Loved, Loved, Loved this Vlog!!! I was in college when this movie came out. We went to see it at the Drive in on the outskirts of town. I UGLY CRIED all of the way back to my apartment. You cracked me up posing behind the female cut out. Great Vlog!!!! Hope you are enjoying your Holidays.
Been watching the movies and listening to the artist, reading Swayze ect...that you post about. It's becoming part of my OCD so I'm relieved that you have such good taste.
ACK! Thank you so much for creating this!!! This is one of my all-time favorites. I used to be able to recite the script word for word without even watching. =D
Hi Jordan, what a great movie. I love the colors of the property at the start. Thank you for doing the rounds and doing such a great job of matching the filming locations. Sanford looks a lovely little town and not changed much at all. It looked a nice little walk down to the friendship tree and very peaceful. Great vlog Jordan.
I just love getting up in the morning and drinking my coffee while watching your vlogs, Jordan! You are always the first one I watch. This was such a trip down memory lane. I love when you show us the movie scene and compare it to today. Your recall of the details of the movie really puts it all together. Thanks for bringing us all along :)
Such a sweet and perfect movie..And it has aged so perfectly. It will always be good! I remember when it came out, my girlfriend and I (I believe I was in High School then) went and saw it at the cheap theater like 6 times... Tears at the end every single time!!
Enjoyed this vlog! This is my hometown where I grew up . I remember the movie well and really liked it, although I haven't watched it in years and have probably only seen it a couple of times since watching it when it was new, but it was a great movie. I have a brother that is a retired veteran of the police force here, but at the time of filming, he was in charge of special detail pertaining to the security and safety and needs of the actors, and was able to meet and talk with Jamie Lee Curtis and Dan Aykroyd. I can't help but think about the movie every time I pass that house. It's always cool when Hollywood comes to town! 😎 Keep up the cool vlogs, I've caught a couple of them so far look forward to seeing more 😎
I didn’t know it was filmed in Florida. I’ll have to take a trip down there from Ocala. You’re giving me day trips I can go to. Thanks Jordan. You have a great detailed channel, btw. Keep up the great work.
I love this movie SO much. I watched Moving Violations the other day after your video, and it was every bit of awesome that I remembered, so I guess I'll watch My Girl today. This world sucks so much right now, so thank you for cheering me up ❤

The Plant City wall mural, you were right next to my favorite coffee shop, Krazy Kup!!!!!!! I hope you went in and got some of their goodness!!! You're in my neck of the woods!
Oh wow! This took me by surprise, you really went all out 😎. Amazing locations , the entire area is just stunning. I never knew the tree was made for the movie, who would have thought. Childhood movies capture the essence of our lives thankyou Jordan it made me realise how short life really is, and how fortunate we really are. Beautiful Florida well worth the trip . Have a great day 💚The green glasses .
I've lived in Florida all my life. Unbelievable to know how many great movies had been made here. It's like living in another part of Hollywood. Never gets old...
I wonder if the Sanford flea market is still open... years ago they had so many oddities and it was like 2 miles long of booths!! Thanks for the tour once again!!!
I love this movie, one of my all time favorite. I think I seen it a million time. It's been a while since I watched it. Thanks Jordan you never let me down.
That movie I first saw when I was in college. I rented the VHS from a neighborhood family owned video store. The family owned 2 stores. This was early 90s. Loved that film. And I grew up in the late 70s so I thought they did a decent job capturing the feel of the era. Thanks Jordan.
💋Omg you did a vlog on such an important movie to me as a kid! I was in I think the fifth/sixth grade when it came out. It was so sweet, beautiful and sad. Thank you for doing this! Happy Holidays and blessings to you&jah. ~Love&Light💖Carli
Wow, that was so complete and informative. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I grew up watching this movie too. Here in Argentina, and others Latin America countries, it was named "Mi Primer Beso", that means "My First Kiss". Beautiful places and details. Congrats!

Very cool. I remember seeing this movie at the theater with my date in 1991. I was 18 and had just graduated high school. I don't really remember much about the movie because, I was so in love with the guy I was with, that I kind of zoned out during it 😅. Good memories. I will have to watch it again soon since it's been so long.
That was amazing the tree was still there, you made it in time! I've never seen this movie but from the way you described it, and the beautiful scenery, I know I will love it :-)
