Few movies make an impression on you when you become an adult. But this movie OMG. Still with me to this day.
As a Clint Eastwood fan, I of course have the DVD of Bridges of Madison County. Not only was the writing superb, Clint and Meryl performed their parts at a level that totally immersed the viewer into the story. Towards the ending of the movie at the intersection remarkably proved Clint and Meryl's amazing talent! No dialog... Just raw emotion, sold to the lens!!! Great Vlog! Loved it!
@Rick Lord Ahhhhh yes!! Top favorite performances of all time. Haven’t watched this movie in a while.. hits me deeper each time I watch it. They did an incredible job tugging at the heart strings of the viewers, we feel every emotion the way they intended. Never gets old, I still want to see them together. 😭
This movie will always follow me. I never was particularly haunted by romance films. But this one. This one just speaks to people's hearts.
One of the most heart wrenching stories ever. One decision changes your life forever. Thank you Jordan.
I wasn't eager to watch it either. But eventually, I was curious about the hype surrounding this movie. I was *blown* *away* ... Definitely not prepared for the emotional impact.
You know which scene I'm referring to.
Also , she nailed the accent. Meryl sounded _just_ like my Nona, first generation Italian immigrant.
Both of the above mentioned are extraordinary ladies.
Agreed! Well said!
So Many tearsssss
Fantastic movie, watched it many times and own a copy of it!! Everytime I watch it I cry, I think she made the right choice but part of me wanted her to go with him!! Thanks Jordan!!
One of my favorite movies. The ending was heart wrenching. I can picture Francesca's hand on the door handle of the truck deciding what she should do????? I totally would recommend Bridges of Madison county. I'm so jealous that you got to see where the movie was filmed.
When she said at the end of the movie, I gave my whole life to my children, now I want to give Robert what's left of me (ashes).
It’s really a beautiful movie. Everyone should see it.
OMG Jordan, awesome vlog!! So well done, heartbreaking movie. That last scene with her hand on the door handle, and Robert's chain dangling from his rear view mirror, sigh....so touching! Too bad the house is in such disrepair, rotten arsonist. Thank you for another GREAT vlog!!
Cool. The vlog you teased us with back in February on instagram is here. Nicely done vlog. So now you seen the truck and the house.
Beautifully done! I have watched this film so often, always with tears. You brought the locations alive! Thank you...excellent!!
Thank you. I think its a great movie, so I really appreciate that you feel I did it justice.
One of my favorite movies, featuring two top-flight actors armed with a powerful script. You did an excellent job of showing (and describing) the locations for this wonderful film. Thank you for an awesome vlog, Jordan!!!
Was heart breaking when arsonist burned bridges. Exciting, though when Steven Spielberg practically emptied my grandparents antique store for movie “Bridges of Madison County.”
That is _amazing_ ... I would love to hear more about that. No kidding any detail would be fascinating.
Yeah AHmazing!! Tell us more!
Wendy Nielsen yes do, tell us more please it would be so interesting
I will get on that! Wasn’t a big deal to gpa bc spent adult life raising kids in CA & business of electrician & owning cable towers, etc made him TONS of celeb clients turned friends, John Wayne included who happened to be fellow Iowan. Grandparents came back to IA to retire in late 80s, & my parents followed.
We were at that bridge a week before that kid set it on fire.. That bridge was a beautiful piece of carpentry and a work of art and what shame some idiot ruined it for everyone else
I just love the way you told the story and a tour of the Amazing places that were in this Beautiful love story thank you great video♥️🤗💞
I'm italian, i whatch this movie for the first time now! and i cry so much. So touching. Maryl streep is the best. I hope one day to visit this amazing places.
Wow, I love the way you tell the story, so vividly. I can practically see Francesca and Robert Kincaid together . You're really a good story teller.
Man you are a really great story teller. You've found your calling no doubt.
This is my favorite movie, I have watched it over and over. I also have the book but have not read it yet. It is a amazing movie that makes you look over your own life and question some of your choices. I loved the scenery and the bridges, the house, the flat land. It was just a enjoyable movie all the way around.
I too have the DVD... But the book must be read as too the follow up book... If you have not read you MUST do so... The end of the follow up book must be known...
What a great video and tribute to a really great movie! I love the movie so much. It really touched me. I cry EVERY time I watch it. This is so neat to see these filming locations
If I could give you 10 thumbs up I would. One of my favorite movies of all times Meryl Street and Clint Eastwood awesome actor and actress meant for this movie. Yes everybody should stop and realize where your life is ahead for, another Word stopped and smelled the poison ivy I mean the Roses life is too short enjoy your life. We enjoy your work and everything you bring to us thank you again.
You have just made my day one of my favourite movie so romantic and sad great actors and lovely location she had so much to loose and had to stay with her family thanks Jordan for this vlog bringing us to places we would never get to see that's why we Lionheart's love you All Love and Best Wishes Marie Dublin Ireland
Thanks Jordan for that lovely Red Heart it means a lot to me coming all the way to Ireland and all you nice Lionheart's for your comments also they are much appreciated lots of Love and Best Wishes Marie Dublin Ireland
Birthplace of John Wayne right there also!
One of my all time favorite. Thank you so much. The saddest parts for me is when she visits all the places they went to. And getting his stuff. Have you read the book? It says she died from a broken heart. I really like this movie a lot. Good job. It seems so real.
That was mesmerising Jordan, i love Meryl Streep, one of the best actresses ever, i can't beleve I've never seen it, i can promise you i will make it my buisness too, a film of two people on a different path, i think a few tears will be shed watching this, she did make the right decision for her children, but i agree, she broke her heart in the process thankyou Jordan, now i have to see it, wonderfull vlog, wow you tell these story's so well x
You must it’s a greatly filmed 🍿 🎥 movie
Denise Conaway I cry every time I see this movie, which I’ve seen over and over. My love for Clint Eastwood ( Rawdy ) since watching western called Rawhide on TV as a kid.
Please....do see it and Jordan couldn’t have told the story better almost as though he wrote this movie himself.
Mary Ann Anaya me too ! Handsome and talented is a double plus for Clint. To be such a great director to really shows his capabilities
I believe children deserve happy parents who live their own life
One of my favorite movies 👍🏼
Love Clint Eastwood and The Bridges Of Madison County. Great vlog Jordan keep up the good work
One of THE most romantic movies ever!!!!!! Seen it many times, makes me question my decisions especially lately... I need to watch it again, been a minute...😥💞💋💖💗💔💓
Thank you for bringing this to us and really enjoyed your video and your storytelling seen the movie many times and I just got through watching it when I watched your your video thanks again
One of my favorite movies. I need to re watch now! Thank you!
I was hesitant to watch it the first time I heard about it. When I finally did see it though, I was pleasantly surprised at how touching of a story it was. Thank you Jordan for sharing these sites with us an capturing the essence of that great film. I’m rewatching it for sure!
Oh, how I loved that story! What a catch 22 for Francesca! You did such a wonderful job in describing the highlights from the film. Thanks for sharing another wonderful vlog. 😊
so sad the house is deteriorated, I luv this movie the love story Eastwood and Meryl so emotional, great vlog 🤗
i did not only watch this movie back in d 90's but also looked for d book.. i fell in love with d story.. i love merryl streep's acting.. she's really beautiful & versatile!!!
I’m so glad you went to Winterset.. The bridges are absolutely amazing, I have some beautiful pictures.. Read the book by Robert Waller, it’s so much better than the movie.
And the epilogue from 2002, A Thousand Country Roads. Every story deserves a completion, including this one, but it did take ten years to get it. I'm still grateful though, RJW fully wrote it before he passed away.
Very well done, great film, watch it every few years to remind me what great acting is all about.Thank you for the vid.
Definitely one of my favorite movies. I've been into home theater now for a long time. I managed to build up a large collection of Laser Discs years before DVD hit the market. This film was in that collection. Although I no longer watch them now I still keep my collection visible along with my 1990 Sony LD Player. It just adds to the ambience.
I have seen this movie years ago, but after your wonderfully poignant interpretation of it I’ll have to see it again. A bitter sweet story ! Love your vlogs Jordan thank you.
It amazes me that some of these towns are still so much in their original condition! So often only a few lucky old buildings stay and are maintained, and new buildings go up all around them. It looks so quaint and must feel like you've gone back in time. But I have to say some of these places look very lonely, like everyone's gone and moved.
Absolutely loved your coverage of this beautiful area where Bridges was filmed. This is one of my favourite books, and all time favourite movies as well! Thank you Jordan, for a your great videos. You have a gift for sure, our friend. ❤️😎👍🙏🏼
That is one of my all time favorite movies!!!
One of my FAVORITE MOVIES!!!!!! Thank you SO MUCH FOR DOING THIS.... You hit EVERY POINT,,, I feel that EVERYONE should see this MOVIE... When the Movie came out I purchased the Book and read it,, it was REALLY GOOD, ♥️♥️♥️😊
Omg! I was actually telling my husband last week that we need to find all of the locations and bridges because it’s one of my fav books and movies ever!
I did just that back in 1998. Go when the weather is warmer because Iowa is bleak in winter. Basically farmland that looks much nicer when there's greenery and cornstalks. Not a slam against the state, just stating it's a largely flat agricultural area without hills or forests. If I recalled that incorrectly someone will surely let me know.
Thank you! I live in TN so imagine it will look somewhat similar to the landscape I’m used to. However, I have a feeling their winters are much worse so I’ll definitely plan around when it’s warmer. I’m determined to do it in the next two years, it’s necessary considering how much I love it. I can quote the movie, word for word, lol.
This vlog Jordan is beautifully done!
As she is walking on the bridge she is peeking at him through slats of wood, getting a look at him as often as she can. It's clear she is mesmerized by him. I love this movie so much that I watch it every night just before bed. I still cry at the same parts. Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep make this move what it is. So does the Roseman bridge. Thanks for this video!
Can't believe you came all the way to Iowa! I go to Winterset just because I like the town. I live 2 hours away. I love that movie! It really touches the heart. I also visited all the locations. So sorry to hear about the house. You did a wonderful job describing the movie and location. Thank you
Thank you for taking the time to create a story about the movie. Clint preferred the Holliwell Bridge as it was more rustic. Roseman had just gotten a fresh coat of paint.
The Cedar Bridge is in pristine condition other than the graffiti that always appears. Wish someone had painted the white part of the RB before you filmed. Seeing the 45s last name is unappealing.
But, again your video has been a joy for many folks who needed to hear some history.
Next time your in town. Stop at the Chamber of Commerce and will take you on a tour. Peace
Awesome vlog Jordan. Thank you for explaining the scenes & moments as you filmed. Really appreciate that. Saw the movie & forgot some of the scenes. 🦅👍
Hi! I am from Argentina. I have seen this movie several times. I love the story and the places are beautiful. Your vídeo is complete because you show the main locations and tell every movie detail. I imagine that is a magical experience to be there like you are inside the film.
It is a shame that francesca' house is closed. I hope it will be repaired and reopened to new tours.
You have done a good job.
I wish i will travel there and take photos someday!
Fantastic vlog on this one, Jordan!! 👍🏻👏🏻. Yes, I remember watching it when it came out, and it still is one of my favorites. Yes, a moral quandary indeed. However I think it taps into everyone - in the sense of choosing which path to take in situations where the results would be vastly different. The big “ Pivotal Turn”. I too remember that line from Robert Kincaid as he is about to head out the door. I hear it from time to time in my life choices. Thanks, Jeff.
Man, thank you for your amazing vlogs, I always enjoy watching your adventures. Keep up the great work Jordan.
SWEET! That's where some of my fam is from & some still live. A couple of my cousins were extras in the movie. Hope you went to John Wayne's birth home while you were there!
Great movie and a great vlog - sad that the house was damaged, but the bridges are beautiful.
Excellent sleuthing and presentation. Wonderful recapitulation of the story!
One of my favorite vlogs! I love this movie seen it so many times and I can still cry same parts every time! thank you for doing this vlog!
It took me four attempted over a span of several years to finally make it to Winterset, IA. I did a photo shoot of all five bridges and produced several photo products that were sold out of my antique shop in Grand Island, NE. Mostly loved the story and fell in love with the players. Russell,
11:22 the “R” ...
The last time I watched this I noticed it and thought how ironic it was to be there in the shot..Robert..Richard.. 🤔
This film lives forever in my heart❤️ Thank you for this:)
Only a few movies are a masterpiece. Clint and Meryll made it come true. Wow!.
I was like you Jordan I love Clint but I wouldn’t probably want to see this movie but I am now . A wonderful documentary Jordan TY
Watched your whole video and now I want to see the movie. I've heard about it for years but don't think I've ever saw it.
Its a lovley film you will love it
This is one of my favourite movies ever and it's such a classic beautiful movie plus you can't lose when Meryl Streep & Clint Eastwood are in movie together 😀 thank you for this amazing video, I love watching them and keep up the amazing work
Great vlog on a wonderful movie, thanks Jordan. You're right the movie really does make you think and reflect about your life. I think the movie was brilliant.
A favorite movie of mine. I think most women can put themselves in Francesca’s shoes at one time or another. I also loved seeing a different role for Clint Eastwood. Great blog.
I have been to all the locations of the movie and did the tour of inside the house back in 1999 and it was still exactly same as it was in the movie with the yellow kitchen table and the bathtub that they were in together. It was amazing to see everything they it was in the movie. And there was a replica of Robert's pickup on the property also at that time. It was on columbis day in 1999 when I was there. Took a lot of pictures at all the locations very cool.
Loved the way you followed the Movie from beginning to end. Thanks
I love this movie, watch it any chance I can. Cry every time.. two of the greats😘✝️
Me too’ and it doesn’t matter how many times I see it, I always have hope she will open the truck door! haha
You did the trip and I want to do it. It was awesome to revive the scenes with your Vlog. Thanks
"I realized love won't obey our expectations. Its mystery is pure and absolute. What Robert and I had could not continue if we were together. What Richard and I shared would vanish if we were apart. But how I wanted to share this. How would our lives have changed if I had? Could anyone else have seen the beauty of it?"
Thank you, this has always been a favorite movie of mine. We have a covered bridge In our town, and every time I walk over it I think of this movie lol.
Cool video from Jordan yet again. This guy is the best on YT.
This is excellent analysis, I assume on the film, not the book which I haven;t read, but will now. I remember crying my eyes out watching the film after a few brewskies.
Yes, I just started watching your blog. I have HBO on demand. I remember seeing all the oldies like The Big Chill, and noticed The Bridges of Madison County another favorite Love Story. You did awesome re how you described the movie. The pictures he took of her at the park!! When her own daughter and son.. read her story.. they both changed their minds re True Love. It’s truely a classic.
My Dad was from Bari❤️ it is beautiful there🥰
What a great movie watching you talk about brought lots of memories back
Truly a great movie portrayed by 2 great actors
Simply fantastic, thanks for sharing❤❤
The first time I started watching this movie I thought it was boring until I got deeper into the movie. Such a wonderful love story. I love Streep and Eastwood. Your amazing Jordan. You did a fabulous job on this vlog. Thank you for all you do. Much love to you and Jah ❤❤❤🦁
"You got off the train because it looked pretty?"
I’ve watched this movie a month ago and I was really impressed about this story. I wish I loved someone so strongly too:)
Thanks Jordan, you did another wonderful rendition of the Movie to T... ❤️Watching from New Zealand with love ❤️
Beautiful movie and an awesome book to read as well..thanks for cheering up a dreary rainy day Jordan!
Rewatched the movie on U-Tube and your vlog on August 10, 2022!! I still feel she made the right decision!! Loved the ending!!
Beautiful job with this vlog Jordan. The story is one of those that brings emotions to so many. The simplicity of the way of life and how one stranger changed their lives forever. The movie brought out a lot of questions about life to me during my twenties when the movie was popular. JTL your filming was impeccable and brought the "real" characters to life.
Hello from Pakistan. I loved the way you reminded me of those touching moments that I saw in the movie. I literally felt the pain and anguish of an unsuccessful love, once again. Thanks
You have no idea how long I have been waiting for this! This is my all time fav movie. So happy to see the house is still there as I thought it was completely burned down. Thanks for this Jordan. :)
💋Love all these movie locations on this road trip. Great job as always. L&L💖Carli

I really enjoyed this vlog! Loved the movie so it was interesting to see the filming locations!!!’
My favorite movie. I found it so interesting the difference in acceptance by her children in the movie. Her daughter was more understanding of her mother's story, it took the son much longer to accept.
Well done 👍 you do have an artist heart ❤️
One of my favorite movies just watched it yesterday read the b Loving movie and real life experiences 👍🏾🥰❤️❤️
This is again a movie I like very much. And thank you Jordan for your wonderful comments to every video! :)
The country around that location is beautiful Jordon.
Do you know why the build canopys over some bridges in America. We don't have any in. South Australia, query Australia that I am aware of.
The small towns are so quant looking with a lot of classic red brick exteriors.
Thank you again for a fantastic vlog. I really appreciate the hard work you put into every vlog, from the information about something and our somebody along with how the vlog is edited and put on you tube.
Please take care on you travels.
My family is from Bari, Italy. Bari is the capital of Puglia! awesome as always!

Absolutely, Absolutely love love this!!!!! One of my all time favorites!!!!!
thank u for ur lil description about the film: moral quandary. ur synopsis helps me a lot with regards on how to tell people about the film.
plus trivia like how did u enter into the property and about that iconic house of the Johnsons.
