I bought some of these a few weeks back. I was impressed with the quality, and so far very satisfied. They look good on the truck and provide my wife with a step. They are doing what I asked them to do.
These are not real rock sliders, that’s why it is in quotes in the title… But if you Google search for rock sliders, 3/4 of them are body mounted, not frame mounted. Which is quite frustrating.
Try watching the video … he acknowledges that. FFS, you just made a 🤡 comment w/o paying attention to the title (with quotes around “Rock Sliders”) & content.
Thanks for the review! I am looking for something to replace the stock rock sliders on my ZR2 with a step that makes it easier for people to get in and out of the the vehicle and these look perfect. If I ever need "real" rock sliders I can put the stock ones back on before I head out, but day to day this step will be far more functional without breaking the bank, and they look great to boot. Now I just need IronBison to get them back in stock for the Colorado so I can order a set!
I think they looks great and appear to be a very easy install. How are these as actual steps? Do they stick out enough to actually use or are they more just for looks? And if they are just for looks do they make getting in to the truck harder now? Sorry for all the questions, just a few real world things that might help others when purchasing
Thanks! I’m 99% sure mine are the carbon steel. Honestly, I didn’t even notice there were two options when ordering mine. They are definitely not aluminum.
Really like them. But they are currently sold out. Guess I can be patient for cheap "sliders". I'm not planning on doing anything I would need true rock sliders for. But I wouldn't mind something that can help mitigate a careless mistake or two.
A lot of actual frame mounted rock sliders do have a kick out at the rear tire. Since these are body mounted, they are not actually true “rock sliders“. Even though when you, Google it, 80% of the ones you’ll find our body mounted. Since these are basically glorified runningboards, the larger step under the front doors is all good for me. Thanks for watching.
Same here! My five-year-old daughter is doing much better since I installed these. I also got a para cord grab handle and attached it to the headrest on the passenger seat, really helps her out.
Correct. That’s why it is in quotes in the title. Unfortunately, when you search for rock sliders, on Google, 80% of them are body mounted. But as you commented, true rock sliders are frame mounted. Thanks for watching!
Had them a year on our 23 Trail Boss. Still look brand new and look awesome! I love them.
Looks great. Love the look with the 35's too.
Thank you! These are actually 34s. If you haven’t seen my full video on them, check it out on this channel. Appreciate it though!

Same here, very impressed for the price
Finally in stock got my order in ty
I got grab handles at the same time as well for mine. It’s the little things for them sometimes that helps the most
Wow I actually really like the look of those. Just added to my cart lol.
Nice! It was a very pleasant surprise for me as well!
Love the look of these! Great video, can you send an updated link to them? I can’t seem to find them for the canyon.
Nice camera work! Lookin' good!
Thanks man! Hope you are well!
Those aren't rock-sliders, those are steps. If you come down on a rock with those they're going to bend and damage the body where they're attached.

Those pretty cool I installed the same ones on my tacoma, and many people think they’re real rock sliders!! They look 👀 awesome on your AT4 💪

The factory rock sliders have mounts for steps. GM offers steps for the ZR2 and AT4X. I just bought some and put them on today for my AT4X.
The part numbers are 84808889 for the front and 85158582 for the rear.
Bet the finish wears off by the end of the year especially in the salt belt
I bought some from Amazon for $200 some high clearance. Step sides for my Chevy silverado, and they have held up so far, and they still look good
$200 is a crazy deal for something like this
Sweet video..How are these holding up??

I cant find them for 2023 canyon ??????? Are they the same fit for full size truck ??? I’m also planing on making frame mounts for them 😜
Nice
Looks great! Did you go with alloy or carbon steel for those? I checked the Amazon link and I want to get what you chose.
Thanks! I’m 99% sure mine are the carbon steel. Honestly, I didn’t even notice there were two options when ordering mine. They are definitely not aluminum.
@@TrailTherapyNash awesome! Thank you! Looking forward to the next vid!
I’m not a fan of steps, but those look good, given their low profile or minimalist design. 👍🏻
I agree. I really didn’t want steps that hung down and reduced ground clearance.
👍

Am I crazy or are they mounted backwards? Typically the fat part is toward the rear of the truck acting as a kick out.

Just installed the same ones two weeks ago
Awesome! How do you like them?
Got them for my daughter. She loves them. It’s taking some time to get used to using them to get in the truck

How is it as a step?
Great! Super sturdy. I weigh 250 pounds and use it to get in and out of the truck every time.
Wow i just checked on canadian Amazon Iron Bison running board 900$ and you pay 250 US $ 😅😢 can't belive how much we get screwd here in canada
Oh wow…. That really sucks….
Yea Canada used to sound like a great idea, but Trudeau sucks as bad as Biden does. The entirety of North America is a dump.
These look nice but they don’t offer these for my silverado.
That’s a bummer….. I’m pretty happy with them.
I don't think those are real rock sliders. They should bolt to the frame and protect the body
