so true. This is such a waste of police time and resources. The police are looking for what they think are soft targets, because they are apparently completely unable to do anything against people openly calling for violent genocide against the Jews today - and it will be the Christians tomorrow - as if they haven't already started with grooming gangs etc.

The level of historical ignorance of 99% of the population is astounding but to be frank it’s not really their fault. The history you are taught in school is so dumbed down and lacking in context it’s borderline inaccurate. 5 minutes of reading about the stasi and East Germany would have people raising eyebrows at that of course though most people don’t even know what the stasi was.

Trouble is the authorities take the line of least resistance , and will ban certain protest marches or actions because it may offend another group. If the other group "kick off" arrest them!-- not the marchers or the street preachers or the silent prayers. Basically don't kowtow to the smaller minority, be balanced in the application of the law, --- like it's supposed to be.

Religion based or not, opinion should not be criminalized unless it passes the threshold of incitement to violence. And this should protect everyone (as it used to ) and not just selected groups.
Perhaps a conservative government with a large majority could make capitalists a protected group and then anyone who did not approve of capitalists or capitalism could be arrested.

They don't want it to go to court, because they know they wouldn't have a leg to stand on legally. So they have developed an intermediate step between legal and illegal, that costs almost nothing, has no accountability, no proof or disproof, no guilt or innocence, but counts against an individual if they were seeking employment or working in sensitive areas. This is a chilling prospect, and will go beyond religious texts and reach into any opinion deemed unfashionable by law enforcement and politicians.
