Sadly everyone seems willing to be bought today even when they know damn well that these politician 'ordered' thought police ... go against everything we once considered the basic human right to speak our minds, especially in the UK where taking the Pi** was a national pastime! It's Totalitarianism. Until the police and military refuse to comply to this absurdity and defend their families, friends and neighbors... we're scr*wed.

However there should be some kind of evidence.
My wife is a nurse who has been trying to contact a patient with mental health issues for bowel cancer screening, but so far the individual has ignored 5 letters. Every time she phoned them up they say they need it in writing otherwise they can't do anything.
Don't worry, she hasn't told me any details.
She has come home upset now because the individual has acused her of being evil and locking them in a windowless room (ie shutting the office door during a patient interview.)
The office has a window she always opens, and she never locks the door, but this doesn't change the fact that one mentally unstable individual's imagination and inability to tell the difference between that and reality could potentially land my wife up to her kneck in charges and tribunals.
Police only chase a conviction, collect evidence and hand it over to the courts, they don't care if it's right or wrong. Junior Officers are just trying to build up their portfolio for promotion, so will try and create as severe a case as they can from anything.
They say there's no smoke without fire, but police today don't seem to be able to tell when it's just foggy 🤷‍♂️

We have been pursuing foreign immigration for 50+ years. And if you widen the pool of identity groups and weaken the bonds of common feeling within the population then you are inevitably going to increase calls for the regulation of speech. Think of it like a dinner party. The more weirdos you invite the more likely you are to have a barney and for the owner of the house to announce "lets not talk about politics". Freedom under the law as elaborated in the U.S, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Britain arose out of the particular White Anglo Saxon Protestant people who dominated those countries. It wont survive immigration. What we will get in the medium term is a managed anarcho tyranny. And in the long term the future will be defined by whichever ethno-cultural group gets all its ducks in a row - in Britain that will be either a native revival or an Islamic rival power structure

In other words, it's NOT a fake quote. Someone did say it but NOT Orwell. Now, that we have that straightened out, is there some truth to that statement? THAT is the real question. Arguing over the author doesn't disprove OR prove the validity of that statement.

"Meme" is different than an anonymous quote. There is such a thing, you know. There are also songs and stories that have "Anonymous" as their author.
All anonymous means is that we don't know who actually coined the saying. Usually, one can figure out the one who creates a meme. You can google "anonymous quotes" and you'll find lots of sites and thousands of quotes with no known author.
If, for some reason, your bathroom saying takes off, because I repeat it and everyone starts using it and I never tell anyone who first said it, it will become an anonymous quote. Another one of thousands of them.
Don't get so excited. Why does this saying upset you so much? It's just an expression. Who cares who said it.

@@JackHaveman52 it's not framed as an anonymous quote though, it's framed as a George Orwell quote, so it's a fake quote. Songs and stories are not quotes either, they're songs and stories, by anonymous authors. You can still tell they were written by actual writers, by reading the whole-ass book and judging its quality, unlike an anonymous quote which could have been written by anyone.
So-called "Anonymous quotes" themselves are also fake quotes. They certainly can't be considered legitimate quotes, especially if you can produce no record of them having ever being uttered in anything other than a post on the internet.
I'm not upset either, I think perhaps you would like me to be upset because it brings you pleasure, which I can understand as I too enjoy causing suffering unto others, but it's impossible in this case. Actually since 2003 offending or insulting someone digitally in the UK is a crime. Thousands (no exaggeration) of UK citizens are arrested every year quite literally for mean tweets and insulting facebook posts etc.
"A person is guilty of an offence if he-
(a)sends by means of a public electronic communications network a message or other matter that is grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character" -section 127 Communications Act 2003
      It has been a crime for much longer if the insult is likely to "stir up racial hatred";
"A person who uses threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, or displays any written material which is threatening, abusive or insulting, is guilty of an offence if-
(a)he intends thereby to stir up racial hatred, or
(b)having regard to all the circumstances racial hatred is likely to be stirred up thereby." - Section 18 Public Order Act 1986
The legal framework for subjugating its population for thought crime has been in place for decades. This video is 4 years old and here we have the assistant to the commissioner state quite clearly he thinks there is nothing wrong with any of this. It is only going to get much, much worse. Already today we see people getting lengthy custodial sentences for posting facts that a judge has deemed likely to stir up racial hatred. 1984 is already here

@@PvtJoker308 However, when Governments change or bring in new laws, that directly support ideologies, the police themselves have a problem. This is the most likely reason we are seeing the highest levels of police officers leaving the service, ever. Unfortunately, most of the leavers are the ones, who do not want to support these ideologies, leaving us with the dross and the new recruits (who will only be accepted from certain demographics and ways of thinking).

Gammons are all the same.. you've never heard a shot fired in anger, you've never put yourself in harm's way to protect people who'll never know you exist. You've never stood up for anything, you've no morals or principles, the only violence you've done it to that fourteen year old girl you've been tampering with when she told you last week that her new science teacher is nice so you battered her for making you feel insecure. You think that hard means buying a status dog from tiktok and wearing £400 trainers you made your mum buy you, even though she has no carpets on her floors and hasn't had a holiday in thirty years - the poor woman can't even buy herself a pair of AA batteries and a small bottle of tesco value baby oil, but you're not fussed as long as she buys your precious tobacco and happy shopper energy drinks, are you? You know what though? That's ok. You are ok. It's fine. When my Granddaddy and my Granduncle gave their lives assaulting the German bunkers protecting the bridge over the Caen canal at Benouville - renamed afterwards as *Pegasus Bridge* - they made that sacrifice for _you._ They paid the ultimate price so you can have your big apron belly in your nice soft tracksuit dressed like a baby, your precious cannabis and little balloons, watch chinese cartoons all day in your cosy bed. Even so you can say stupid shit like you just did, trying to act like you get credit for what the hardest men on the planet did whilse you sit there with the softest obesity boy titties on your whole housing scheme. The least you can do is show them some respect.

Exactly! I wonder if it would have changed anything, had he said that brilliant line. It seems nothing gets through to them. It's like they have no capacity for understanding the evil consequences of their actions. Is it just that they think, "I'm one of the good guys. We will only apply this to the people we don't like"? Of course, that IS evil itself. But maybe his IQ is so low that he has not the capacity to understand how human being work, how social situations change, and how cliques are formed, and how people abuse the power they CAN abuse, and that that is exactly why we (used to) have protections in law which prevent being charged with victimless crimes, "pre-crime", etc. etc. Because people used to understand that human beings put into positions of power will abuse that power to settle petty personal scores, enrich themselves, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. if they have the opportunity. I think either people like him are simply too stupid, or they have a gigantic blind spot which prevents them from understanding that evil is not something OUTSIDE and someone ELSE - it's within every human heart and the capacity to err and to do things you'll later regret is forever present no matter how much you think you've moved beyond such faults.
