      You don't gave to get a mobile data plan. The price difference is $20 for me on the Samsung store. You could even make emergency calls to 911 without a mobile plan, that's one benefit right there. And resale value?

    • @dittles
      @dittles 8 месяцев назад +6

      You're paying an extra 20 buck...per month!? Maybe...maybe $5, but not $20. While I do believe in having options, in my use case, it's very niche, and I couldn't justify paying an additional $20 per month.

      @@dittleshere in Australia you have to have a post paid plan which is about $20 dearer than an equivalent prepaid plan so you really do pay $20 extra to utilise the lte function but of course telstra/optus will tell you its about $5 extra on top of an expensive post paid plan.

    I esyvhrf this a month of so back, ended up buying galaxy 6 classic 47mm LTE version for the reasons described in the video, and I like having some freedom from my phone. My first smartwatch, I thougt smartwatches were sort of dumb, frivolous. But by chance I happend to learn about the galaxy watch 6 classic 47mm and thought this might work for me, and after two weeks, I am loving it to death, coolest gizmo I've ever owned. It's nice to have a Samsung phone, and I purcased the Samsunb Bud2 Pro earbuds, so I alm pretty Samsunged-out so to speak. But no regretsl, I have loved their products for years. Use their SSDs in all my computers.
    Seeing this video after using the watch for a while was helpful, affirming on my thinking for getting the LTE version. Knowing the pros and cons is important. I have only experienced heat issues while charging the watch, but nothing that concerned me, and I think that charging when the watch is completed turned off avoids the problem.
    Good helpful video, helped me make the decision to purchase the LTE version of the watch. Thanks.

    I have the small galaxy 6 lte version. I live in Canada, only hot for 2-3 months of the of year, no problems with overheating yet. Battery life sucks when using health tracker, let and music at same time. I just make sure I charge it before I go for a run. Gps seems to be better than I expected when tracking runs, only screwed up a couple times in over100 runs. Overall satisfied with my purchase, does what ai need it to do.

    Great video, and that is first one where someone mention overheating. FYI. I had 2 of Samsung Watch 6 Classic LTE black with dissent connection area , and both of them were overheating when they stand alone and using LTE service for about 1-2 min. They goes to airplane mode to cool down. I have replace them with the third one ( silver this time) to see if that is a hardware issue. My wife is using pixel watch LTE and she have no overheating problem at all on the same network. Members of my family who visit us using Apple watch with LTE and they have no issue at all, so i tend to belive that samsung is selling faulty products.
    One more time, GREAT VIDEO!

    I still have the GW4 LTE. I find it over heats often, especially if I've been wearing it before I go out. Or just taken freshly off charge. Im generally a warm person to put whats just been mentioned in context. It roughly takes 3 minutes before it needs to cool down in them circumstances. If however it's cold, I do get a far longer period.

    I had GW 6 classic 47 LTE 1 month. Battery did improve but it really didn't change anything. I had to charge all the time, and if it was interrupt or if I did forget it, I went without battery rest of that day. I went back to garmin and bought venu 3. Really big difference and a very good watch. Garmin is really something worth buying. And 14 days battery life.

      I have a 3-year old Venu, and I love it, as a beautiful watch. But as an activity tracker it is so incredibly inaccurate, it became useless. The step count was always off, I can be standing still, but as long as I am moving my hand (let's say chopping some vegetables), Venu still count my hand movement as steps. I even often break the steps goals while cooking. Totally absurd.
      Also, the stairs are not counted accurately either and some days the watch simply decides not to display the stairs count at all. I also don't like the fact that I can't reply to my messages (other than yes/no/ok) and obviously, that calls cannot be answered (talk).
      I just bought the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic and so far so good, no overheating and the sound quality of the calls is fantastic, as well as the microphone range. I can speak in my regular volume and people can hear me loud and clear without having the watch close to my face. So far, I love it.

      If using LTE to make calls mine would overheating at 2 minutes and cut off calls. With Bluetooth on ,calls stayed cool. I then reset the phone with minimum apps and wifi,Bluetooth off, LTE only will now Stay cool and not cut off calls.Can then leave cell phone at home.

    I have always had LTE versions and the smallest sizes too. Because of the smaller battery it has never lasted 2 days. 1 day average but I have 2 phones and 2 LTE watches on different carriers. Very convenient to have one phone on carrier "A" and wear the watch using the other carrier. Thanks for another good and honest review.

    • @jrb.3985
      @jrb.3985 11 месяцев назад

      @@ciddhere Using the same carrier for both phone & watch is what most peoe do. If you used a different carrier on your watch & a different carrier on your phone you would not be able to sync up phone calls with your watch when leaving your phone at home & only wearing your watch. You'd only receive phone calls on your watch from your "watches carrier."

    We don't have to pay for e-sim extension in our smartwatch in INDIA😁😁
    At least for now. And also the 4G is on an avg is 100mbps, whereas 5G is somwhat depends on the area and density of connection in there.
    But the fun fact is- we are able to use it for free (we get 5G at the cheapest price of 4G)

    About the overheating.... The watch does heat up, yes. But, in my case (gw4 lte), I've never felt it heating more with lte than when it is charging. And it never locked up or gave any heating alarm when it's charging. Isn't it kind of exaggerated the way it's programmed? Last week, i had to hard reset it, and as i was installing all the stuff back, it started giving that heating up alarm and blocking itself again and again. It was barely warm. My phone started killing apps and giving temperature alarm some time ago, but i forgot it outside in direct sunlight, by over 30 degrees Celsius. The phone was burning hot. I feel like this watch heating issue could be minimized with a little software tunning. But that's me... cheers✌️

    As a watch 6 classic user. All i can say is Samsung has the best wear os smartwatch in line. But no smartwatch in the Android world comes close to Apple watch. The software integration, ease of use, fluidity, animations, haptics, better health tracking, it's really gonna take a long time to beat the Apple watch. Was mindblown after comparing my watch 6 classic to a mere series 7. Truly disappointed.

    The delayed updates are false. This is only applicable if you have the watch from the telecom provider and they installed their bloatware on it. If you buy LTE version from samsung itself it won't affect the updates

    • @ALLSTARSPACE
      @ALLSTARSPACE  Год назад

      sorry to disappoint you, it does not matter where you buy the watch. As soon as you activate your telecom plan (no matter who it is with) you will be bound to the telecom provider for the updates. If you do not activate LTE and just use the watch as a BLT version, then that is correct as no other company will be involved.
