I believe your mistaken about the investment visa they only give a one year visa and you need to apply each and every year. Youll never get residency through the current laws. The old law was what you stated
Karl, do you have videos about obtaining an M Visa for passive income or retirement? And do you have any suggestions for first visitors for hotels and boutique hotels in Pereira?
INTRESTING...WELL I WILL SETTLE FOR SEEING THE CASTLE IN ITALY..AND I AM LOOKING FOR YOUR VIDEO REGARDING( WALKING INTRESTED PARTIES THROUGH THE PROCESS' OF THOSE EURO HOMES) 😳
Sure.....first bit of advice is it's spelled Colombia, not Columbia lol. But sure I can do a video ok it what exactly do you want to know residency options?
they have changed the visa type before the investment was automatic residency with a 5 year citzen track. Now its like 90k and gets you a migrant visa on a 10 year citizen track.
104k 20024 goes up every year with yearly minimum wage increases So think 5 years at growth of 5% per year visa will not be valid say year 4 if under the investment amount
@charleskellymoneytipspodca9121 constantly changing I would recommend checking in with an immigration attorney to assist you with your unique situation.
Does Colombia still allow 90 day tourists visa to extend for another 90 days or are you forced to do a border jump leaving the country for a few days the returning when your original 90 days is close to expiring. For Americans
I don’t have a digital normad job I’m actually retired living off passive income from rental properties in America. I only need to spend 6 months a year in Colombia until I find a wife then I will apply for the easiest visa through marriage
@Oh No ok so you have a few options. Retiree Visa, digital nomad visa, and standard USA with 90 day extensions. However of you find someone and want to spend more time might as well have a longer option. Just my thoughts
With the digital nomad visa will I have to pay taxes in Colombia. My problem is I make too much $$$. Yes I know first world problems but hear me out. As an American we have to file taxes with the IRS no matter where we live in the world and becoming a tax resident in another country can subject me to double taxation. I spend a lot of time in zero tax countries for that reason alone but as modern and high tech as Dubai is I am tired of it. Costa Rica is nice it gets boring after you’ve been there a while. I know you can exempt up to $120K or so as an overseas exemption but I make more than that and I’m not willingly signing up to become a tax resident of another country. Can I reside in Colombia with this visa and not pay Colombian taxes?
On the digital nomad visa I don't think you become a tax resident. Best thing to do would be to book a call with an immigration attorney and accountant jointly to discuss your needs and get the right answer. I'm only a tax resident of the USA and I can't advise you on something I personally haven't dealt with.
Never never do the 25,000 investment visa mini scam because every year you have to reapply almost 1-2 month process while keeping a business working just to pay the employees. If the buisnees fail or Covid happens no consideration that you have invested the amount and buisnees closed
I got approved for 3 years right out the gate because I already had employees in verifiable payroll. It's more to ensure you're actually investing and creating jobs
Step 1 - Send your resume to info@entplife.com Step 2 - interview if you have a skillset that fits one our organizations Step 3 - must have zelle or access to US bank account or bancolombia account

Yes after 5 years of M you can petition for Residency and with a total of 10 years you can apply for citizenship
