I was just thinking about this… how much money do you think the Nuggets organization lost by not making the conference finals and NBA finals? That’s probably at least 6 home games, plus broadcast revenue. I would guess somewhere in the ballpark of $50 million. Now, imagine the nuggets invested $20-30 million into strengthening their bench. Would’ve easily gotten them last Minnesota and in all likelihood Dallas. Seems like a no brainer to me.

I think he played them enough meaning Braun strawther and Watson but with the wrong lineups. Malone should have gone more experimental to get guys in with Nikola not just Murray and the bench or Reggie and the bench. No one could score with those groups.

Malone said it all there, Dallas acquired two excellent players, TWolves acquired two excellent players...
He just forgot to say that Nuggets could not even adequately replace the two good roleplayers they lost. And they didn't really develop any of the young players.
Nuggets were weaker than the year before, while everyone else got better.
So the strategy is to rely on Jokic doing triple doubles, hope one or two of the others perform on a particular night and do nothing else to make the team stronger.
Everybody worked hard to solve the problem of playing against Jokic - was that so unexpected?
If they don't appreciate having the MVP, perhaps they should trade him first.

These guys need to wake up. The timberwolves with the help of old Denver heads have your roster completely figured out. Their entire team was assembled for the express purpose of shutting you down. Yal need another backup big to stand in for jokic so he isnt gassed during the second half during important games where you inevitably run him all game long. If you dont make atleast one or two big changes this can and WILL continue to happen. Grow a sack and use your noggin. Jokic has a finite number of prime years left, you dont just let a once in a generation talent go to waste hoping 5 years from now your current roster magically bolsters itself. You need to prop Joker up ASAP to become one of the greats that he was meant to be.
Side note: get your bench playoff ready. If you can't consider pulling from the bench during the most important games, then you have a problem that you need to stop ignoring.

We need a reliable scorer of the bench back up big and 3 snd D guy like McDaniels, Trey Murphy from NO.
I would trade MPJ for our Serbian guy BOGDAN BOGDANOVIĆ because he has half of Porter salary he is playmaker, he can create his own shot. Only problem defense but you could pick someone like Caruso or Pat Connaughton type of guy snd i would love someone like Lauri Markannen. 2-3 players for MPJ who will fill the scoring creating, passing and rebounding.
Dribble penetration was the BIGGEST PROBLEM. Nobody outside Murray and Jokić sre good ball handler. You have to be a threath pf the dribble to move Minnesota defense. Dallas showed thst last night. Also murray should watch Kyrie and work on his layups floaterss and to lose a few pounds to be quicker more explosive. And Braun and Watson need to learn how to create their own shot snd shoot everyday. But alsom Malone snd coaching staff need to played them more to be confident and to have some offensive schemes outside of 2 man game.

Why allow Jokic to play the role of playmaker in the first half so much and not be aggressive and shoot much in the first half? We expended a ton of energy in life and death battles with the Lakers and in the first two games against the Wolves and were often having to claw back big deficit to secure the win. A ton of energy after expending a ton chasing the #1 seed after the All Star break where Jokic played 79 games right up until the last game of the season.
This is why we lost the #1 seed or rather threw it away in the last game. Absolutely unforgivable. I knew we wouldn't repeat if Jokic was allowed to do that in the playoffs. Yes I want to see him in the role of playmaker in the first half sometimes but not in the playoffs. Especially when the others aren't shooting well.
And Jokic should be aggressive forcing his way to the basket to shoot much more not shooting 3s. That's money in the bank and he can also draw more fouls.
And we need more consistent players. Jokic is the only one who puts up the numbers night in, night out and he works his goddamn ass off. We need a deeper squad and a much stronger bench to put up numbers and take some of that workload off him and so we can rest him toward the end of the seasons
Murray needs to stop over dribbling the ball and taking such tough shots so much. He needs to learn to balance that with his playmaking better, like he did in last years playoffs.

Perfect trade would be around MPJ + first round picks for Mikal Bridges. But I doubt Brooklyn would agree to that. The most realistic is MPJ for Bruce Brown + Kelly Olynyk. Denver would get rid of the huge MPJ contract, get back Bruce, who has already know players and schemes, and would fit right in, and get a backup center, whose contract is expiring, so that, if necessary, space in the budget could be freed up.

You can get Obi Toppin TjMconell and the one more player for price of Bogi and do better in long run.
