I’ve noticed that my American Bully is a lot more calm when I just step into the bathtub with him. It takes only a few seconds to throw on some gym shorts that I don’t mind getting wet. Once in there, scrub away and he’s pretty chill. Of course remember to reward with treat.
We threw food in the bath for our puppy ages ago and now he’s such a fiend for the bath. We have to watch him so he doesn’t jump in and turn the tap on 😀
I’ve been waiting for this for soooo long! Ever since the bathing video with fin came out I loved that video so much so I’ve been waiting for a new edition with Wally.
Great tips! I’m going to see if my newly adopted adult dog will jump into the tub for his meals. Right now he runs out because he knows I want to bathe him. Thanks Rachel!
Sweet Paws makes a paw towel that is portable. It comes in a silicone case that you can attach to your key ring, bag, or leash. Very convenient for drying your pup's muddy paws on the go and protecting those cars and carpets.
Hey , I would love if you could share what to look for in our pet products , I live outside the us and many of the things you recommend aren't available here or they don't ship . It would be useful if you gave us a guide , I love your videos and your advice has always helped me , I want to do the best for my fluffy little friend but I don't have the same resources. I hope you have a great day!
I have a small pit 14 weeks. We need a soft treat to train her but we think she is allergic to chicken but not sure. Pits I was told can be allergic to chicken and beef. Vet said it could be that or allergies. She had a rash under her arms moving to her mid section and sides vet gave her antibiotics and a flea pill incase she got bit but has no fleas on her and vet said grass is seeding getting ready for winter and could be that and she gave a shampoo for antifungal anti microbial. Everything went away but now the antibiotics are gone it is coming back. Poor girl. We are taking her back to vet. We put her on pro plan lamb and rice for dogs with skin and stomach formula but see if vet wants us to try salmon formula cause might be lamb. We got dehydrated lamb lung but it is too hard for her to chew right now cause she has not got her molars yet. I know you like the tripe is it soft? Or can you recommend something healthy that I can give in small pieces to praise her after she poops or pee’s outside. Thanks Judy

My dog insists on rolling around in the grass and dirt every time I take him out (much to my dismay). He’s okay in the bathtub until I turn the water on. Which is funny bc he loves to swim and play in sprinklers. I hate giving him a bath though, he’s big so it’s hard to get him in and then he tries to jump out the whole time. I have to get in there with him and I end up soaking wet. Lol Those tethers are such a good idea. Are they strong? I have a giant breed dog.
I’m new to your channel. Loved it, watched it to the end to get the tip on cleaning you dogs bowl, I need that tip. My dogs bowl stays slimy no matter how much I clean it with dawn.
hi Rachel my Cavapoo has chewing problems and she has bit my the arms of my chair both sides! I also don't know how to stop her from chasing my cat. She doesn't want to hurt her she just wan'ts to play but it annoys my cat. I love your videos so much. Pls reply.
@Ariana Belcher my dog tries to chew on our couch constantly. I just have to constantly keep an eye on him and make him stop. I give him bully sticks or marrow bones and keep him from chewing the furniture. And he also was always bothering my senior dog and trying to play, I just kept a light leash on my puppy and would pull him away and tell him no when he bothered my other dog. It also helped that the old dog would snap at the puppy and put him in his place. He never actually bites him though luckily. It took a few months but he doesn’t bother him as much anymore. You could also try the bitter no cheese sprays. Only thing is you have to constantly respray furniture.
Medicated or nonmedicated oatmeal shampoo per my vet plus experience with itchy dogs..currently using tropiclean oxymed hypoallergenic oatmeal shampoo from petco and it seems better than the burts bees and baby oatmeal shampoo so far.
What's the best material for a water bowl? I don't have a choice with my dog's food bowl as she needs a plastic slow feeder bowl but for her water bowl what do you recommend? She has one metal and one ceramic for water at the moment.
I would go with stainless steel. We use it for are dogs and haven’t had any problems with. They also last a very long time. We’ve had some of ours for years and they still look brand new
I love stainless steel but I have to use Fortiflex buckets because my dogs drink plenty of water since they're very active. The Foriflex 2 gallon round bucket with the metal carry handle. These! I have several I fill and refill each day. Gotta keep them clean and fresh. I never use soap on them Vinegar is a better cleaner for a water container. Quick scrub. Rinse rinse rinse.
We just rescued a four month puppy and he’s got a couple habits that have been hard to break (biting play, gets on the bed, barks at other dogs). Is it too late to train him/ are there any tips for older puppies like him?
my dog doesn't know what to do with lick mats. i tried putting doggie peanut butter but she just paws on the lick mat wanting to bite it. so im not sure how to bathe her without her struggling too much. she is a little over 3 months old.
So she responds if you’re early ok, Rachel I asked a question on a different video inquiring about the raw dog food diet and if 8 weeks is too young to transition a Shi-poo puppy?? She will come to me eating kibble Royal Canin to be exact??
Rachel, I need your help! My 11 months old puppy has just figured out he can dig outside to try and get under the fence. When I try to get to him to interrupt the behavior he runs away and starts acting like we are playing-he gets the zoomies and playfully growls and runs away. I don’t know how to make him stop digging 😭 I can’t find a video about digging on your page. He has tons of toys and even has our other dog to play with. This is a brand new behavior of his, and I don’t want him to escape our backyard.
Hey i have a 6 months bichpoo/poochon and i notice he tends to do this when he gets bored, doesn’t have anything to do, or his teeth is just itching to bite… I would try to distract him with a toy because he’s very toy motivated but it would have to be the right toy; I would tap it on his nose and run away and he’ll chase me and his mind would be gone off the digging, but when i get tired of playing with him he would go back to the digging, i would then give him my hand to bite not my finger my hand, and he gets so much more aggressive that’s how I know he’s itching to bite… but hopefully i’m going on about this right
Yes the video I’ve been waiting waiting for I saw the older ones already and I have been using the hacks my poor pup has been kicked out of 3 groomers trying with a new one tonight and this is our last hope it’s not we will groom him ourselves so this is so helpful ty again! Quick edit: I love the list for the holidays I’ve been rlly wanting the west paw toys now I know I’ll get them for my dog since u said they were great!
@@Persassyproduction_fanpage dogs get kicked out of the groomers for being unsafe. If it's a place luke petco or petsmart, they can't muzzle dogs, and they will not risk certain things like serious matting, so anytime a dog needs to be shaved shorter than a 10 blade, it will be recommended to take them to a vet. Under other circumstances, I refuse dogs that are not doing well in the facility. If they can't be kenneled and are panicking in there or panicking in the bath, I swnd them home. It's not worth torturing or making them feel worse. Sometimes sedated grooms are the safest bet until you can work with the dog enough to help them feel better about the process. It's also helpful to take yourdog to visit the groomer for a treat and build a friendly experience with the groomer. Best of luck to you. It's hard.
This is our dog 😢 She was traumatized as a puppy by a guy that would tie her to a tree and power wash her. She had scars from that jerk! Our friends rescued her, and she lived with them for 3 years until he enlisted in the Army. Now we are fostering her, and we're one month in, and she keeps rolling in poop. The dog wipes don't work on getting the poop out of her fur. 😥 I feel like I'm at the end of my rope.
Have you heard of Norwex? It's a company that has cleaning tools with super tightly woven microfiber and silver that effectively cleans with only water. I don't sell it, but I am a faithful user! My family has been more healthy since making the investment in their products. I also cannot tolerate synthetic fragrances. And a note to. be careful about using any essential oils around your dogs, not all of them are safe! I'm a level certified aromatherapist, but I have not taken an animal specific course yet, so I can't comment in detail about that, but Robert Tisserand is my go to for research based safety information.

Get off kibble
i’m using shea moisture natural black soap for my puppy.. it works great
Ozone generators are wonderful, they kill the germs in the air , i love them , they leave the room or house smelling like fresh
Great tips! And thank you for advocating non toxic shampoos and cleaners.
I keep laughing when you say: dogs don´t need to smell like VA-NI-LLA hahahaha so true
Also make sure you use cotton balls in their ears to prevent ear infections!!! This is very important! or just avoid getting their ears wet
What dish soap do you recommend to wash your dog bowls?

Is there any specific methods or shampoos to get rid of fleas in dogs open to any answers thanks
Your local vet should have a flea shampoo but it’s best to have your pet on a flea prevention medication once a month
