John Panozzo and Neil Peart are looking down with pride
Definitely and the amazing drummer Jeff Porcaro too -
Seeing Todd playing is so inspiring.
I love these videos. Todd is the man. This song has a great classic Styx sound to it. Can't wait for the CD in a few days.
Once again you guys are knocking it out of the park can hardly wait for our records and CD to arrive. See you and the guys in Phoenix and Las Vegas from the front row all nights(no better place to be for a Styx show)
Wonderful song and wonderful arrangement on the drums
LOVE this! Excellent job!
I ❤ Styx
📻🎼🎹🎧 That was a really cool song. It's the kind of song that can take you back to the 70's teen years, It was great and yes, 👉 toking a hooter as I type.🤡 🌿👍🚀
Some parts remind me of the Falling Wallendas! It’s not a Todd recording without hitting the gong drum atleast once 🤘
A true master 👍🏻
I'm so excited for this record! I loved how Styx really embraced their progressive side for much of The Mission, which I genuinely believe is a top 3 Styx record. By the looks of it, this album is gonna do even more of that! Both these singles have really hit the spot, if the rest is as good as these two songs, this could potentially end up as my favorite Styx record. Seriously. 6 days!
Honestly, I had a falling out with Styx because of how they handled the deal with Dennis. My brother, who died this February suddenly, had gotten me to give The Mission a chance. I already listened to it when it first came out, but disgruntled, and wasn't impressed. After deciding to listen completely objectively, with no bias, I instantly fell back in love with Styx. Crash is even better, simply because the guys managed to put together a cohesive album (concept or not) that is both modern, yet classic Styx. I believe if they keep going forward this way, even more progressive, they will have managed to surpass the glory days. Several issues I feel they need to resolve on future albums: 1) the overall album length is kind of pitiful considering 60-70 minutes can fit on a CD easily. 2) I love Tommy's voice, but this is Styx. I would like to hear more of the other guys as primary singer. 3) following the progressive bent of the new albums, I would like to see some longer songs. It would be nice to have some extended instrumental interludes in songs. Maybe some songs that tell a story in multiple parts, like a suite.
@@Stoovey24 I got a little worried with how your comment started, but i'm really happy to hear that you gave them a second chance and found something to enjoy in the new albums! Appreciate you sharing this story with me! I actually like the last two albums for their more traditional single LP lengths, though that's just personal preference. I'd be interested to see this current lineup of Styx take on the double album format in a longer record, apparently Crash was almost a double album according to Tommy. I totally agree on the longer song point, Red Storm is one of my favorite Styx songs, but i'd love to see them dip their toes into the 8-10 minute range and really stretch their wings out.
There's also some St.Pepper's in this song! Wow!
Hey Michele, how have you been?
So cool!!! Love watching you play Todd! Amazing!!!!!
Very Cool! Hit the spot, Rock On! Peace! 😇 ✌
🥳🥳🥳🌟❤️🌟👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Everytime I look at Master Todd playing drums, I always learn something. Something like that passion and attitude towards drumming. I really enjoy it!🐘
Blown away as usual, my all time favorite band in the world!🇨🇦❤🔥👍🍻💋
Brilliantly written and performed!
Great musician and teacher!
This sounds awesome!! Will see you on 6/27 in Oklahoma 🎶🎶🎶❤️
Todd continues to amaze.
Great song with fantastic playing by Todd, just awesome!!
I LOVE YOU STYX
He is sooo good!! ♥️
Play renegade
I first saw Styx play live back in 1978..RIP : John Panazzp..Love the new album, and did anyone the live concert feed Styx did a few weeks back? I highly recommend it!! Styx was totally awesome, and Gowan did a nice little homage to Neil Peart..
His drum collection looks like a fine wine cellar!!
outstanding job
Love it. You sounded soooo good. I would even buy it.
Smooth playing as usual - where did I put my sticks?
Perfect !!!!!
His traditional playing always impresses. I have to do match grip when I drum because I just don't have the power when I play traditional grip and worry I'm going to twerk, twist and hurt my wrist with the sideways motion.
Damn, this dude is crazy good, he should try drumming professionally, like for Styx or smth
Love this so nice to hear new stuff.
Oikeaa rumpujensoittoa eikä mitään kohellusta!!! Hieno biisi, mahtava rumpali 👏👏👏
Should be called MASTERY. Mr Todd its such a joy to watch you.
This is probably the most radio friendly song on the album. Excellence again.
Wow!! That was so great to watch!! How do you remember every song beat after 40+ years of drumming??? I mean to play a song that you haven’t done in 20 years and play it like you did it yesterday!?! Pretty amazing!! Love Styx my favorite group of all time‼️🇺🇸😎❤️
Todd is probably the best musician in a band full of great musicians. I'll always be bummed that Dennis DeYoung is not part of the band, but I'll still go see Styx to watch Tommy Shaw and Todd Sucherman play.
That kicked...Killer drum work Todd
..STYX Ferever...
Hot DAMN I love this album! Great job, Todd!
For my money, for all-round drumming, give me Todd and Steve Gadd and let the rest enjoy their own individual niche to which they excell.
God I love this. I'm a mediocre drummer (at best) and I cannot follow the time signatures to save me. But it's amazing.
Easily one of the best and most soulful drummers in the planet....
This is really a good song, I feel it will stand the test of time for sure....😁🙏
Absolutely sublime.... this album makes you feel alive !!
Cool 😎 🆒️ 🎸⚘💖🙂😉
Thank you Styx ⚘💖🙂😀😷🎸🎤
Love that last tomtom sound!!! Great guitar solo too 🥁🎸👏👏
Huge Beatles influence on this. Wow!
The beginning sounds like 70's Kansas
Awesome! Drums sound so good
Brilliant drummer 🥁👍
