    The sheer imagery that you get from Eddie Kramer and John in this interview expands the very notion that musicians like Hendrix and the story on The Beatles session made music an art form. Great job Jonsey

    I was just reading Tony Visconti’s autobiography and he briefly mentions Eddie Kramer, saying some fairly uncomplimentary things about him. It’d be a fascinating subject if someone wrote a book about the relationships/rivalries between the classic rock producers/engineers (1950’s, 60’s & 70’s).

    I saw Jimi in April of 69 at the Spectrum in Philadelphia then in May of 70 at an outdoor football stadium at the University of Temple in Philadelphia. That had Cactus the Grateful Dead, Steve Miller Band and Hendrix.
    He’s my favorite. Made those Marshall stacks sing like nobody else.
    Going to see the movie tonight in Phoenix, Az .🙏👌☮️😊 Awesome interview 😊

    Just reading Tony Visconti’s Autobiography and he briefly mentions Eddie Kramer, saying some slightly negative things about him. It’d be interesting to know more about the professional relationships & rivalries between the classic rock producers/engineers (50’s, 60’s & 70’s).

    • @neilmclaughlin2347
      @neilmclaughlin2347 5 лет назад +2

      I’m sure he is a good guy, he certainly comes across as very affable and I’ve read about a lot of the musicians who’ve worked with him describing him as a real gentleman. I just thought it was interesting that we know a lot about the artists relationship with the producer/engineer, but they rarely speak about their relationship with their peers. I’m sure the majority of it is ‘friendly rivalry’ but I suppose there are a few who just have totally opposing methods or outlooks and maybe take a dislike to each other? I’m not saying this is the case here, but I’m sure it happens-just strange that it’s not documented more.
