I’m getting tired of all reviewer saying that exynos still compete with snapdragon and still worth it. Props to your hones review about this chipset. In my opinion, samsung should’t force us to buy exynos version and make snapdragon version available globally.

I have s24 [exynos], the only thing bad about exynos is it heats [not over heats], because of heat it uses more battery. Even if you click 10 photos it gets warm, use 50mp it gets hot. I'm in india vaerage temperature is almost higher then other countries, so consider that, but good thing is it doesn't drop performance not even a bit.

Even in recent reviews I've seen serious network issues compared to the Snapdragon version, and that both it and the Snapdragon version but more so the Exynos version, runs hot, so I'm worried about the potential for dropped frames in 8K or even 4K video, especially when the ambient temperature is warm. And that was with both phones not using a case, a case would further add to the heat.
It's not that the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro aren't without disadvantages, too, so I get what you're saying on that score; it would be hard to find a perfect phone without spending a lot more. Still, I think Samsung dropped the ball badly, which possibly explains why all of the Exynos phones are on sale, at the time of writing, or perhaps not.
Thanks for your thoughts on the stills photography, I think that's one of the strengths of your review process, or at least what I'm most interested in.

@@MrOsstis Thanks for letting me know, that sadly takes the S23 off my shortlist, then. My mother got an A55 which has had network/connectivity problems, including a very stressful time in accident and emergency where someone kindly let us use their iPhone and later a nurse let us use their landline.
Apparently the A55 uses Exynos, though different variant from the S24. I like the build quality of the A55, though heavier than my mother's previous Motorola phone, which I ended up taking to her in hospital as it worked better than the A55, glad we didn't recycle it.

@satishmakka5157 Hi. The phone works flawlessly. Battery depends on your use. I only charge to 80 percent, start my day at 5 am, and at 9 pm, I have around 40 percent left. I only use it as a business phone, so 20 to 30 calls, 50 emails, viber, sms, waze, some RUclips... I don't play games or use social media.
On free days, I easily get 2 days of use. But if you use a lot of social media, you will burn thru the battery in 1 day.
