All in all it it's a $4-5k build. ROG and Eva brand name doubled everything. If I had the money I'd say it's still worth it for all that custom Asuka/02 design. When the specs get outdated it would still make a good display. Or go ham and make your custom Eva 02 coffee table.

That 4090 cost more than most peoples current builds. All to end up running an instance of Genshin with like 2 or 3 tabs on Chrome.

Really wanted to buy them, looked it up real fast and then was immediately shot down by those price tags. While I do love Evangelion, I don't love it enough to lose a kidney or two.

ngl, it blows my mind that Anno can still milk Eva this long after it originally aired. Yes, I know the movies gave it a big boost, but it's essentially the same public that's been consuming Eva sice the 90s. It shows how HUGE it was, and how it's pretty much timeless
the fans on the top on the radiator are pushing fan through the rad so the rad is using the hot air of the case to cool the cpu
I tip my hat to you sir. The prevailing fan orientation is not optimal for best cpu temps.
was eying those components for a little while, but not going for a new build right now. glad to see someone putting it together with the whole theme.
This thing is beautiful. The collector in me is screaming "save the boxes!" though I just know he didn't, considering he didn't even put something soft on the table to protect the paint while he's sliding it around. If he doesn't fix the fans he's insane.
Its Japan, some of those boxes can be apartments for people!!

tbh, that kind of swing open is kind of standard nowadays. Though I don't really care since anything I would need to do inside the case, I would need to take it off completely so it doesn't help much

Garnt, the RAM should be on the 2nd and 4th slot, also turn on the XMP profile for the ram (rly easy but get help from a pc person, they will 100% know how)

Not gonna lie. My ass so clenched SO HARD because he was trying to get that screw out with them sharp objects.... and the other few times he was handling it. But overall, that thing is an absolute unit.
This is why you use magnetized screwdrivers.

Just like an EVA, except the power consumption is probably higher like holy hell EVAs last 5 minutes(?) without power supply this thing will eat through juice faster than I eat through Misato r34

Part of the 9k cost for this HAS to be the Eva Branding because those specs are pretty much what I want in a new gaming PC and that'll cost me around 3k depending on the place (it has gone as high as 4 before)
Yea they're limited series collectibles and cost vastly more than the base variants.
Also PC are more expensive in Japan thanks to tax there.
not only that but I seem to recall a lot fo these parts cost a bit more in Japan then some other countries which isn't helping
its a 500 PSU even without the eva branding, this is Asus' teir of really high end stuff, but adding a couple hundred on each part for the branding.
Absolutely. In the US the non Eva version of that video card is $1950 while the Eva branded one is $2500 for the same exact specs.

21:56 Yeah good luck, the components are all super expensive (yeah, even the mouse, mousepad, and keyboard) and basically unobtanium even when they first hit stores. EVA 01 stuff was equally impossible to get.
I just got the 01 keyboard off amazon, and the mouse is still easy enough to find. The 01 stuff is likely discontinued and the 02 stuff is only preorder. give it some time, they had the 01 stuff around for over a year.
@@Born_Stellar it's possible it was just when I looking because I remember going to the official ASUS ROG pages for all the stuff and clicked through all the resellers they listed and all the stuff was "out of stock". Still doesn't help with the prices though :(

This 4090 costs the same as my 4090 and 14700k combined. But its design fully justifies this price. Congratulations on your new PC!

Last thing to do: replace those front case fans with Arctic P12 PWM ARGB fans (and fix the RGB on the radiator fans). Set it to orange for LCL.

Well, that PC costs half the price in Sweden. It is half the price of my new damn car. And it is what I have spend on my gaming PC with monitor, mouse, keyboard and alls of that. Not even got a 4090 GPU, I got a ASUS RTX 3080 RTX OC White Edition. bought it for 2 years ago, but upgraded it to a Intel I7-13700. So if I had spared the money I would had the cash for the PC, mouse and keyboard and the entire shit in Sweden, but without a monitor. Well well. That's shitty. That PC is AMAZING!
