They really messed up this year. I didn't get an interview and while I'm not too salty about it, I know that the ELAT could've given me a real chance. ESPECIALLY cause I'm an international student and my written work was the most basic exam ever🙃 so mad at Oxford for this failure
Oh man I’m sorry… I definitely feel you on that one, I wrote a really good essay and put a lot of work into the exam. While it was very disappointing I understand why they had to do it and respect their choice. I’m sure it was much appreciated for the majority of students who probably felt so much more stressed if they wrote the wrong essay or weren’t even able to take it. Good luck with your college journey I’m rooting for you!
I had almost the exact experience as you this year (wrote a really good essay - felt pretty annoyed when they said they weren't going to read it) That said, have you got an interview? What college did you apply for?
Glad to hear someone else felt the same! I did actually end up getting an interview- I'm going to be doing a whole college decision reaction here on this channel so it'll be in there somewhere. I originally applied for Exeter but was switched to St Edmund's which I was actually super happy about as I feel it fits me better! Wishing you luck!!
