Hi-I’m a fellow American Teddy Hall English applicant who is also anxiously waiting on Oxford. So funny that I came across this video today! Luckily, I’m in a similar situation, as I’ve also been accepted REA to my super dream school. What’s helped me with nerves is thinking of tomorrow as a win-win situation. If they say no, then they’ve made a difficult decision much easier. If they say yes, then I’ll have the privilege of choosing between my two top choices. Regardless of what ends up happening, applying to Oxford (and especially the interviews) have been such an incredible experience, so I’ll be glad I did it either way. Hopefully that might help you get some sleep tonight :). Best of luck!

Thanks so much for sharing!! I don’t know many Oxford applicants in real life so it’s always awesome to hear from other people that are going for it too! I completely agree about it being win-win, while my dream admission isn’t restrictive Oxford is one of the last big schools that might challenge me going there. Wishing us both luck let me know what happens tomorrow!!

@@dilemmmas I got an offer! I'm pretty sure I've already met the conditions too, so I'm over the moon! I hope the morning brought good news for you as well. I don't think there's a way to do DMs through RUclips, but it'd be fun to chat if you're making the same sort of decision. For me it'll be Oxford v. Yale, so I can use all the help I can get...

@@quintonmoats5859That’s amazing! Congratulations! I’m actually not going to have to be making a decision which is amazing, but I’m just glad because I believe I would’ve chosen my dream school even if I got an offer from Oxford for a variety of reasons. As for your dilemma, best of luck, I’d say pro con lists are always a big help and also just considering how comfortable you are with going out of your comfort zone and out of the country. I think for me also part of the reason why deciding (even earlier than the decision day) that Oxford wasn’t for me was the fact that I want to get a postgrad degree and therefore will hopefully have another shot at it then when it’s right.
