Wow! You received an offer so early! I heard that it takes about 8-10 weeks, but is the wait time much less for the Modern Languages course? I’m also applying by the Nov. deadline!

I really don’t know why the turn around was so quick 😅 well 5 weeks, not incredibly fast either. My take on it, is that they take everyone they want for sure before the next deadline in January hits, after that deadline they might reconsider some people from the previous deadline in combination with admitting/rejecting the new batch of people, but that’s just a thought, I don’t know this for sure. Good luck on your application!!!

Hi! There’s ‘The Student Room’ and surely there’s some reddit thread. Hope that helps 😀

Hi Steffie! I have applied for my master's course in the Jan deadline. It usually states that it takes around 8-10 weeks to get the decision but are there any chances that I may get notified of the decision by first week of March itself?

Hi! Congrats on submitting the application! It is definitely a possibility that they’ll get back to you before the 8-10 weeks. Most of my master’s decisions got back to me before the estimated time. However, it will depend on how quickly the uni is able to make its decisions which could depend on the number of applicants, the speed of the admissions office, the speed of your department. There really is no way of knowing for sure. I really hope that you’ll hear back soon and that it will be good news!

Heyy! How do I know that my Application has been successfully submitted?

The university will reach out to you when they have made a decision. Surely if it takes months you can call to see if you can get an update on the status of your application. They won’t give you the outcome but then you’ll know that at least they’re still looking at it. I must admit that I never reached out to oxford in this particular capacity but I did for Warwick as they took their time 😅
