I’ve been watching this show so much, I’ve started hearing Billy’s voice narrating my life in my head

The over-the-top theatrical film-noire American accent that's happening near 33:00 sounds as though Johnny Knoxville from Jackass and Homer Simpson somehow had a child, and that child was born and raised in The Bronx NYC.
Don't mind me, just sitting in my house all by myself and spitting out the water that I unfortunately tried swallowing right before the waitress quit her job at the diner. Loving the incorporation of improv scenes in this episode. Thanks for the laughs, Billy and Dom.

I love how much these guys are getting into Giardiniera. Growing up in Chicago we used to put it in mashed potatoes for an after school snack. It really does go well in a lot of different things.

To answer the narrator question: Tom Waits. I can only imagine how silly it would be to have my elementary art teacher life voiced over as a film noir.
In other news, I’ve always LOVED untangling things, as well. It’s like a labyrinth, or closed-set bit of problem solving… there’s a guaranteed solution (providing you’re patient enough to earn it).
As a fiber artist, my preference is untangling yarn.
Back in the day I also was the cassette rescue squad.

Montana is big sky country; Iowa has the Field of Dreams baseball field where they recently held an actual baseball game between the Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees...perfect considering the film "Field of Dreams" featured baseball player Shoeless Joe Jackson, who was a White Sox player. Anyway, I digress. Vinyl is best, CDs are great and can give that mixed tape deal and streaming is great for mobility and even access but the feel just isn't the same. It's like choosing to read via Kindle vs. a real book. While the former is is lovely for any number of reasons, the latter has a romanticism about it. I know people who prefer a printed newspaper because you can feel something real, it has a smell from the pages that has an allure to it. There is just something nice about it. Anywho...as usual...fabulous episode! It was a bit of a rough day at work and you always brighten and enlighten my days. :) Just keep being you all!

Dom! I'm with you on untangling things! There is a certain peacefulness that happens when everything is sorted out the right way. It's a good thing I'm good at it since I love to crochet and have to untangle yarn fairly frequently.

Hey Billy and Dom, I heard your guys confusion about the name of farfalle pasta, and I've been studying Italian recently so I happen to know off hand, that farfalle is the Italian word for butterfly. Hope that clears up some confusion.

My mom's friend gave us her old car and it has a tape player. My mom's an 80's kid and still has most of her tapes. Feeling lucky. Lol
Sometimes I can fly, like Superman, in my dreams. I'll be running, then notice how easy it feels, and how much huge distance I'm getting between footfalls, and think it's a bit odd, but then reply to myself that it's just because I can fly 'when I'm here.' This may or may not alert me to the fact that I'm dreaming, and can alter the reality as I see fit.
I had this same exact experience! It was dream pattern I held for about 15 years straight, and then one night I pushed the limits and I realized I needed to stop running/flying away from everything and then I haven't had those dreams since!

YES!!!! Fry Sauce! No, I don't know anyone who put it on pizza... but guess you could. Easy to make when I am in a state that doesn't have it. :) Rocky Mountain- smoke in the summer fires from around the west and inversions in the winter time when you have the air turned to soup because it's really smoggy!

I heard about Friendship Onion from Billy's Q&A at Awesome Con this month. So far, I am enjoying going through old episodes up to this point. I look forward to more from Dom and Billy.

Literally just returned from the grocery store where I purchased farfalle pasta and a jar a giardiniera. Might turn them into a pasta salad dish….mmmm…..
Fry sauce is amazing! I use it for my fries, burgers, onion rings, mac n' cheese bites, corn dogs, chicken fingers, chicken nuggets, and many many more uses. It is definitely a staple here in Utah.
Another answer to the riddle is, "your breath on a cold day". If you say "breath" it will disappear. That's what I thought the answer was, but silence makes more sense!

Love the discussion about poetry and songwriting. I write songs and I would like to try poetry. Also the dream stuff; I am learning how to interpret dreams. I've been shot by everything you can shoot somebody with in dreams, died multiple times, been unconscious. Always an interesting experience lol
@10:00 Dom, I have the same type of dream but its getting to the airport... I will even plan it out like "Well, my flight is in 5 hours, I better leave early just in case, since it takes an hour to get there, and something always happens" and without fail, I either miss the flight completely, or are at the airport and they say I am too late.

Minnesota nice vs passive aggressive:
I’m a Minnesotan, and I’ve traveled in many parts of the world (and lived in some of them, including Japan and Germany, to name just two). I find that no matter where you go, you find about the same mix of personality types. What changes is which type is deemed acceptable. So, for those who grew up in Minnesota, or transplanted there and are trying to fit in, if their actual personality is aggressive, it comes out as passive-aggressive. But in NYC, the aggressive personality will not need to dissemble to fit in, while the naturally self-deprecating will no doubt come out as something else (I didn’t spend enough time there to figure that one out). There’s the culture you were born into, and the culture that matches your personality. Where they don’t match, you find your rebels, etc.
Note: Cheeseheads (Wisconsinites - badger state folks) and Minnesotans are rivals. I lived on the border when I was in high school, and we’d shout insults at each other across the river. So, to be honest 😉, you can’t trust what a cheesehead says about a Minnesotan. 😁

Great podcast,great friendship onion rings,which sounds delicious. The chip sauce is what my mum use to make,we called it special sauce or pink sauce. There had to be a sort of unconscious thing where everyone was making it even down here in Cape Town.
