The part where geshu lin phantom taunts jiyan before a battle was peak storytelling in my opinion. Like we didn’t know what kind of a relationship that Jiyan and Geshu had but that scene laid bare some feelings between the two that i would love to see explored in future quests
I am so sure that we will and I can‘t wait!
Honestly a selling point to me in my opinion was that this game in the story is a bit more heavy with darker tones (as in story/backstory) as people literally DIE like its not like hsr or genshin doesnt have that but its different as in wuwa where you just stare at the person passing away which in my opinion brings a sense of reality to it like dam, they didnt sugar coat it or like hide the person dying by like swapping to a black screen or censoring it completely but they just go “boom the person died, moving on” kinda thing. This is in my opinion that the story is good but as mentioned has alot of filler which is a drawback to the enjoyment.
Yes, the more darker tone is also a selling point for me. I truly hope that future quests will be an improvement upon this one

Hoyo and Reverse1999 is faaar superrrioooorrrr than this, what with the lazy writing and yangyang’s acting. Great combat though, at least there’s that.
I agree that the story in the first 1-2 hours is mid af, but personally it really picks up afterwards, especially for a 1.0 introduction version.
