@@HardcoreRC You're welcome! On a semi-related note I just saw a DR8 video by "NBRC" showing his DR8 with 30mm wheel hub extensions. Looked a lot more stable in the turns. They're dirt cheap on Aliexpress so I'll be getting some or possibly the 23mm ones.

@@HardcoreRC They should really improve cornering stability of your DR8 at Arc Raceway! See the comments below said video where I've asked the guy a question. I'll probably go the more conservative option of getting the 23mm extenders because basic physics kinda tells me that the 30mm extenders might be slightly overkill and place greater load on the plastic arms during bad landings.

Thank, take a lot of driving around for me, but worth it ( the second location is a 3 hour drive each way 😲😲 for the in car and on car footage I'm using the insta 360 go2, great little camera

Thanks - went with 23t pinion, heat is ok but in hotter weather could do with a heat sink on really (doesn't need a fan)

I just hit a lamppost with my Mojave (the lamppost unexpectedly crossed the road, I swear!) and it didn't seem to have any damage at all at first. I was very impressed with it. On closer inspection it wrecked the motor mount. Hoping to bash with it again soon. Awesome video, keep it up! :)
Its the same with trees, they just jump out of nowhere 😂😂 can you not hammer the motor mount straight ? have done that a few times myself

I love my Mojave EXB. I also run the Max 6 and 1650KV motor 23T pinion. An absolute rocket. The only thing it doesn't do well sometimes is very high jumps, but it's not designed for that. Very durable out of the box indeed! Another great bash and video!!
Ours had been sitting on the wall for ages not getting used, then as we were going to the first spot Callum said can we take it as knew it works so well on loose surfaces, it certainly surprised both of use with the way it jumped and just kept on going, glad you liked the video and thanks for watching 👍

Mojave is an absolute beast!!! Great video guys!!! Getting the Mojave sideways in loose dirt is way to much fun!! In the right location the Mojave shines but try and get some crazy air and she gets a little unpredictable. Definitely one of my favorite platforms Arrma has. 👊👊👍👍

Hehe it sure is a total beast, although at a concrete skate park i think the Xmaxx would be more durable, just only due to the Mojaves metal chassis

Thank, they are very good cars, but has to be on the right surface, a nice loose surface, on grass etc it will just keep rolling when turning and will drive you mad, but on loose surface it becomes a joy to drive

Does it have a tight turning radius?
Thanks. On the right surface it can turn very quick as you can power lift off and sweep the back round, it really loves loose surfaces, but its not so great on grass as it will grip roll
So I recently got an XMAXX (used). But this truck barely wheelies. Should I change just the spur gear, just the pinion gear or both? I'm not looking for speed runs just for the xmaxx to wheelie like my big rock does!!! I'm also running the truck on 6s because I only own 3s batteries.

If its a 8s Xmaxx than only running on 6s will be part of the issue. But the best option for gearing is 20t pinion and 50t spur, but to get the GDS ones as they are toughened steel, the Traxxas gears are pretty rubbish and you will break them

Really enjoyed that video and the new bash spot looked sick, but How’d u get it so clean again? I always clean mine down afterwards with fresh water and a cloth and it looks mint but as soon as it’s dry it just looks filthy again

You need to watch my how to clean an RC video 😂😂 i clean the loose stuff out with an air gun, spray down with bike cleaner like Mucoff or Finish line (the pink stuff) rinse off with water, clear as much water off with the air gun, then if nice and sunny leave out to dry fully, then spray over with GT85 and leave in the sun to dry
I use baby wipes after blowing it clean with the compressed air. Baby wipes are cheap, dn't have any shit in them and do a great job cleaning and best of all no water

The only thing I don’t have is a compressor which is a question I think I asked if you knew of a cheap one you could recommend?
@@Soilhalo77 Its the GT85 that gets it nice and shiney, also helps to make the plastic more durable / flexible. This is Arrma's Toughest RC out of the box and to be fair it would likley beat every other RC out the box if similar Wrecks were dolled out. I can't wait to get mine out again, I have done some extra mods to the body mounts people will find interesting 💪💪😎
One thing I thing you do SOOOO well and I need to do a better job of this, is that you let the boys drive mostly and you film. I bet that adds balance to the Hobby, I seem to do all the shooting of myself and only my boys occasionally 🤔🤔.... Love that about you brother. Keeping the Family First 👍😍

Thanks buddy 👍👍 yeah if the boys are out i let them do most of the driving and film them, just gives me joy seeing them have fun, i still drive but mainly off camera, or if they are not out i might film me driving, like the Kronos and the Typhon. Have found the RC days out have really help us all bond together more. Deffo start to film more of your boys driving.

Awesome video. Typhon 6s is just as durable IMO and more versatile. Both are tough as old boots I just find the Short Course platform unappealing for an offroad RC. 🔥🤛
Yeap the Typhon is very tough as well, short course like the Mojave really needs to be on a loose surface like we were in this video, on grass or anything else it will just keep rolling and is no fun at all
What really helps it is the body takes a lot of the blows and wheels are tucked nicely inside. That saves a lot of breakages. Monster trucks, truggies and buggies really suffer with the stuck out like they do. Every tumble beats on the suspension arms.
yes you are 100% correct, all short course trucks are pretty tough as the wheels are hidden, they also have the shorter amrs

We hadnt really jelled with it until we did this video, had only really run it on grass etc and found it super frustrating as it would keep rolling, but on this loose surface, boy it comes alive

Many thanks, do love the log of doom 😂 think its underrated as really depends where its being driven, on grass it sucks so bad as just keeps flip rolling, but on nice dry loose surfaces boy it really comes alive - its really like a Jekyll and Hide of the RC world
@@HardcoreRC it's definitely harder to drive on grass, I find a little extra shock preload can help with fighting traction roll though.

No Jack hasn't done an edit for a while now, so i do the filming and editing currently, been trying to work on getting better edits out, but it takes time to do them, I'm getting faster, but this one for example took me every evening for a week 😂 i get what you are saying about the lives, but need 1,000 subs to be able to live stream, and its hard to get a new channel going when we are still so small. Claire tried but even with double our subs they struggled. I did ask around about the lives and if i don't do a Send It Sunday i get loads of messages saying what happened 😂
Videos i mainly use a Gopro to film and then edit on software called Filmora - need to learn something like premier pro - but again its finding the time

Two different locations - one in Kent and the other in Cambridge
Whatever you do, don’t put a locker center diff in it. It’ll tear itself apart within one battery…..ask me how I know…..I’ve got a 2050kv motor running on 6s and it’s destroyed damn near every driveline component.
Thanks for letting me know, i would only ever put a locker in a speed run car, tend to keep all our diff oils stock, think the only ones i have changed are the center diff on the Notorious and put 300k in that. I did change the oils in Callum's Talion and he hated how it drove so changed them back
@@HardcoreRC I was tired of getting too much power transfer to the front as soon as the rear would hook up. It was getting annoying, so I put a locker in it and it is IMMENSELY better and super quick out of the hole. But I had to upgrade to the aluminum diff cases. Now it’s good. Absolutely fantastic. But unless you plan on doing aluminum center diff mounts and upper cover along with the aluminum diff cases front and rear, don’t do it.

@HardcoreRC haha yes I like this car, but I don't think i can save up for it because when I went to sc models I tried selling my traxxas maxx and they said £200 pounds for it even though I spent £500 extra pounds upgrading it. So I have to di well in my exams and ask my parents to buy it for my b day. 😀😀😕😕
@@Traxxas129 Sadly upgrades on cars dont add that much the the resale value, better off taking them off and putting stock parts back on if you have them and then selling the upgraded parts separately

If price and size is not a factor then the Mojave EXB with the Max6 and 1650kv is better, but if you want to save some money or have a smaller car the Senton is good
They do have newer body post that won't break really at all I would pick them up
Are they a different part number or just improved part with same number ?
I think they changed the part number but I'm not sure I bought a newer mojave and it came with them on it

@@HardcoreRC I have 30+ packs through mine without a single breakage. While I try not to crash it I don't take it easy by any means 🤡 these things are tanks as long as Kev isn't trying to break it. Love the channel and keep it up.

@@HardcoreRC what ever happened to the 100+ mph Road Rock? Last I saw it destroyed a spur on 8s and had only been 94.
@@twocrowsknows2811 Oh don't worry, its coming back, just couldn't really run it in the winter.
We got 105mph out of it on one video on 6s, then made it 8s - just only got one test run on 8s before the winter set in
