Such a great car, Katars should work good, think the Fireteam ones would work as well. Im just going through a stage of putting the Backflip LP's onto everything as they are such a great all round tire
Thank you, haven't really been enough full on action recently to do a sent it Sunday, hopefully things will pick up soon and i can get back to doing some big action send it Sunday live streams
Great video Dave. Gonna have to give these a go myself now. They sure look proper on the Mojave. Maybe thicker center diff fluid is the way to gain air control. Mine is still all stock fluids at the moment but soon the Mojave is getting a makeover 👊👊👍👍
Im finding these Backflip LP's such a good all round tire, seems to suit so many cars as well. My diffs are still all stock set up, thicker center would help with the air control a bit yes
Certainly didn't handle any worse than the stock tires. MT or Truggy would have gone home broken if I had driven like i did. Its all just having a laugh, you need to chill a bit 👍
David never have I liked one of these... when I got into the hobby traxxas what I heard of an the slash experience wasnt good so eventually I tried my hand at a senton an ever since gave up on the short course truck forever... between the 5t 5th scale an now you wheel choice on this may have just afford myself another go with a short course i think from your video some suspension tweaks an this thing could really be fun to me... thanks for sharing it... great content
The short course trucks like the Senton and Mojave really need to be on the right surface, nice loose dirt, sand etc, they really come alive then, we hated the Mojave when we first got it and drove it on grass, would just keep on rolling it was horrible, but then took it out on dirt and oh boy what an RC. Losi 5T on the other hand is just in another league for drivability on pretty much any surface
It certainly has taken some abuse, had it since we bought the car and its taken everything, plus its super cheap. I got it from Ebay: www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1313&_nkw=148mm+36+LED+Model+Car+Light+Bar+for+Traxxas&_sacat=0
I just picked one these up the 30 percent off was a good deal . Did you open your diffs or just ran it when you got it ? You pound that thing , good set truggy wheels I think would be good , I bought this set of sweeps they're one of best wheels I've owned even out lasted arrmas rtr . Problem is I can't find them either can lhs . Must been too good 😆 . They do have some other belted large low pro wheels I'm trying seem really good .
You guys had a great deal recenlty 30% off and they were giving it away, really cant blame you for getting one. I just ran it straight out the box, run most of our cars with stock diff oils, think i have only changed the 6s Kraton v4, and Notty, oh and the Losi 5T now as well as felt the stock weights were just far tooo low. Katars or the Fireteam wheels would probably work as well. Have heard good things about sweep wheels and tires, do youknow the name of the ones you have ?
We haven't tired them on the Maxx but know others have and thought they worked very well. Have to say the Backflip LP's im finding such a great versatile tire, i have to keep taking them off one car and putting on another
Thank, he has been a bit busy with his Monster Trucks, saw him yesterday but he was having more a chill day and just playing without filming - everyone needs days like that every now and again
Dave, put some Vanquish 2.2 bead locks with brass rings and some 30 series Badlands or 2.2 Hyrax tires. You will have enough air control to do standing and rolling back flips. It's what I run on My Mojave. Fun video as always! I love when you get carried away. I think we may have to revoke your RC driver's license before you kill some unsuspecting squirrel with a body slam!. 😂😂
Ohhh those wheels look very nice, might have to start saving up to get some. Did feel for poor Elijah, when he ran he ran where the car was going as well, just glad i didnt hit him. Although the Vindaloo he tried to eat later caused him far more damage 😂
@@GhostActual206 why not it seemed to handle well enough for Dave. He said he couldn’t see any pro’s or cons for bigger wheels. No difference. I remember putting granite wheels on my senton and trimming the arches to suit. Made a huge difference. Got fed up with blowing out stock senton tyres. See what Fave has to say hit Thankyou
Really didn't notice much difference, if racing then yes stock tires would likely get round the track quicker better, but then if you also put on race wheels and tires with better servo and sensored esc and motor would be quicker still, dont think many people buy Mojaves to race and for bashing these worked great.
Really didn't notice any difference in the handling on this loose surface, gave a little bit more air control as well. I would never run a Mojave on grass as it sucks balls on grass just rolls at every corner 😂😂 does look the nuts as well, loads of people were commenting how good it looked with the Backflip LP's
Very dope af, you think they would work on my fireteam?? How was heat? Esc/motor. Awesome content brother 😉👍🏽💯 Btw-does Luis really talk like that in real life? (Baby voice?
Should work on a fireteam, heat etc was find as running on a Max6 1650kv combo, Funny thing was that there was a Fireteam running around that day and i was looking at those wheels and thinking they would be good on the Mojave 😂 No that isn't Steve's real voice, he puts it on and calls him Tiny when he does it
@@HardcoreRC I've just stuck a huge set of wheels and tyres on my Senton Mega, and put a brushless system in it. I had to cut the body, but it'll now wheelie at 30+mph at half throttle!! Just need to change the slipper to the BLX, and it slips like a bugger if you nail it!! 👍🏻
Lots of people run these on their Mojaves. Nothing but good things are said about them! My EXB has Trencher LPs by Proline, but I might get these for my RTR Mojave.
@@GhostActual206 The Mojave is not a race truck, it's a basher. It's illegal for all classes so I don't know what you're on about. It's not allowed in sanctioned closed-wheel racing.
Put some Vanquish 2.2 bead locks and some 30 series Badlands or 2.2 Hyrax tires. You will have enough air control to do standing back flips and still have great control in turns and at all-out speed across rough terrain.
The Backflip LP's are such a versatile tire, have run them on Mojave, Talion, Tekno ET 48, i love them 👍 we have some belted trecnhers but though they might be a bit heavy, Jack keeps saying we should put them on some cars so might give them a go
Its all just a bit of a laugh, certainly didn't handle bad, i wasn't racing it and if i was then i would likely use race tires and not even stock tires, if you dont try out different things you never know what they will be like. What about people that dont have loads of money to go out and buy lots of different RC's can they not then use what they have to do different things with ? the Hobby is all about doing what you want with your cars and having fun
I can do a backflip with my EXB MOJAVE (with stock tires) but it has to be on 8s, and honestly, I don't try that anymore. I run it on 6s and without huge jumps and backflips and all that. Even if with bigger tires, it always goes sideways and can land on two wheels and upside down. It's not mean to do stuff like that. It causes way too much damage, but that's just me. I run my Mojave EXB on big fields and only do jumps that are meant for long distance. Thanks for the video
Do find that on the loose surface the Mojave is just so much fun, super durable as well, i can honestly say with all we have put this car through i dont ever recall breaking anything apart from one bearing. Don't like running it on fields as find it just rolls over on grass. Thanks for watching and commenting and for your support 👍
Dont cringe, just enjoy, everyone enjoys their cars in a different ways, the main thing is to enjoy what you have bought in the way you want to enjoy. Have over 40 cars and enjoy each and everyone one of them and make them do thigs that they were not necessarily made to do, for example a running BigRock to 105mph, its all just part of the hobby
Location X😂 I like the Mojave I was thinking about more body control it’s a lovely thing but it loves a bit of body roll. And I just couldn’t afford to miss treat it like you guys do 😢 but it’s great amusement watching someone else smash up their RC cars 😝
To be honest have found the Mojave so tough and i honestly cant remember breaking anything on it apart from one bearing, the body is also holding up quite well, the short course trucks just get protected so much by the bodies. I will say that suck on grass though, really need nice loose dirt or sand
Only problem then is the body wouldnt fit and it would just become a Notty or Outcast, love the abuse the Mojave takes due to the body proecting the wheels etc
Thanks for watching and the comment, not sure how this is Kevin Talbot style, apart from us both playing with RC's cars and meeting up and going to same locations, the channel has always been more about me and my two boys playing with RC's as a family, on this occasion Callum had football so I was out on my own, when has Kev even been about family time and RC's ?, happy to hear why you think this is Kevin Talbot style ?
