Buddy your vids are great before I even watch them! 41 here, and I don't find that anyone "RUclips posting" really organizes well. You got that look that "you don't have time to waste or jack around" so I saw so much great stuff right away. First, honest state-of-affairs stating outright iCue is complex/painful as 1 of 100's of Software suites I have to be aware of at this point in my IT career/life. Second, you gave "go directly to time stamps" which shows you care about your viewer's time when they've come to accomplish a goal. Third, you don't beat around the bush with your insight/feedback/opinions and tell a story, that leads to a lake, that was a great color and depth, that used to have fish in it, and that's where you fished as a kid, and when you finally caught one, the color of it's scales were a radiant orange, and so....... you could use the LEDS to make the keys orange, and I'll show you that in the next video (when coloring the LEDs is all I came for) - You don't do that trash. +1 sub, +1 like. (I'll recommend you to the many no fuss techies I work with at my company for sure!)

I just created a "repeat" action to autofire a single shot weapon in Cyberpunk. But the repeat doesn't always work smooth. sometimes it does, than it takes noticeable longer to repeat and to shoot the weapon again - whilst holding the button down the whole time.
Just got mine today and getting a headache trying to figure it out. basically i want to use 3 keys (1,2,3) or maybe 4 for a game and have them repeatedly press at certain milliseconds like #1(6 seconds) #2 (15 seconds) #3 (11 seconds) which i kind of figured out but there is no key to stop this function when i want it to stop. Either i set a certain amount of time i want them press say 20 times which is a bandaid on what i need. I need it to stop when i hit the G1 key to start/stop the function. Any help is appreciated.

One thing I didn't see: Does iCUE have anything like Razer's "hypershift" button where you can have a 2nd layer of functionality for any key, by holding down a designated "hypershift" key? (or is this a Razer function only)? For example, could I have a specific macro run only when I hold down "Fn + U"? Hopefully that makes sense?
If you didn't find an option to do it, you can try to combine them using AutoHotKey. For example, I just assigned Ctrl+F1 to Ctrl+F12 to the 12 side buttons of my Corsair mouse, and use AutoHotKey to map these keys to dedicated shortkeys depending on the application. I can also press Shift or Alt on my keyboard simultaneously, to use Ctrl+Alt+Fxx or Ctrl+Shift+Fxx as 24 additional inputs for AutoHotKey to make 24 additional shortcuts/actions
Now here is a question. What about a macro to bind the "alt + F4", so I can use a single key to close a window/game. I ask because I have a game that doesn't have an ingame close game feature, sure I can use alt f4 but I would like to have it work for a single key.

I recently upgraded to a new PC and it came with a newer version of iCue. So far it's easier to use than this old version in the video I was used to, but it looks like they entirely removed the timer function. Or I'm an idiot and can't find it. Anyone know where the timer function is in 5.1.1113 ? I've tried searching online and there's very little information about it at all. If it's a lesser used feature Corsair quitely killed off, i guess fair enough. Shame though as I found it to be really useful!
To be honest I haven't updated my iCue for awhile. I'm currently running version 3.38.88. 😂 It's totally possible Corsair killed it off in a newer version. I know there are features that existed back when I first started using iCUE in, I think 2018, that don't exist in the version I'm currently running. The thing I loved about iCUE in the beginning is it gave you the ability to create any lighting feature you could imagine which I think made it "too complicated" for a lot of people. It definitely seems like Corsair has been trying to simplify it over the years which has resulted in some of it's features going away. People that think it's too complicated now would really have hated it 5+ years ago. 😂
@@Maraksot78 Yeah it's a bit of a pain. I ended up making media files which are 95% silent and has a sound at the end for the 30s vers, then 1m etc and then setting it as media, advanced, select file. It's not as good but it'll do!
I also notice I cannot record FN which means I cannot change the keyboard PC location (focus) - F6 & F7, bummer ! nor can I use the G keys in recording ? bummer 2

Hi :) They say any key can be remapped but is it really possible to remap ANY key on the keyboard? what about the two Keys between alt & ctrl? (Windows and FN?) ... what about the Media Keys? ... can i remap the mute button (top right) to mute sound AND micro? Are there restrictions what key can´t be remapped?
I have a K95 RGB Platinum XT keyboard and to the best of my knowledge the answer to your question is yes. You can remap any key on the keyboard, or any button on your mouse, to any other key on your keyboard or button on your mouse. And yes you can enable the retain original key output option on the key you reprogram so it will do whatever you've reprogrammed it to do as well as execute it's original function.

This happened to me too! I just blindly updated my icue program and didn't realize they so drastically changed the UI. I usually have my "sniper" button as my melee attack in games, but I can't reassign it correctly. I'm sure its still possible somehow in the program, but it's almost impossible to navigate now..
The way I would do it is to remap the sniper to whatever the jump key is. Typically the space bar is jump so I would remap the sniper to space bar. However if you want to be able to use the space bar for something else then what I would do is go into your game settings and change the jump key to something other than space bar; to a key that isn't used for anything else like "\" or something. I would then go into iCUE and remap the sniper button to that key and turn the sniper button into jump. The thing about remapping the sniper button is whatever key you assign it to function as, that key has to retain it's original function. So if you followed my first example you'd have to leave space bar as jump in your game, so then you basically have two jump buttons. Space bar and the sniper button. Same thing with my second example changing "\" to jump in the game settings.

THis software is still utter garbage, I mean you've made an entire video just covering keyboard lighting, when I want to simply control my fan lighting. I mean the software is just so bloated, it needs multiple tutorials just to teach the user how to use it. Its too encompassing and broad, I just want to control things simple individually, and then save the entire settings at the end.

is it possible to insert a custom time delay after a certain keystroke, i.e. exactly 35 ms after key1 down, weit for 48 ms, release, wait 75ms,....?
Yes instead of haveing keystroke change it to press then add 35ms delay event then add a release event then add 75ms delay event

iCUE is the singular worst software of any peripheral on the market. Products are great, software is the antithesis of user friendly.
