      I’m in the same boat. Watch his videos even in things that I don’t need and won’t buy. So what’s his secret?
      - his voice is one of the things. It soothing but trustworthy.
      - subjects are well researched and there is no unnecessary fluff that wastes everyone’s time.
      - production value is great. Good equipment, great sound. No other vacuum Chanel can touch it.
      - videos are familiar yet they bring new info. Don’t fix it if it ain’t broke approach. He sticks to his format and we know what to expect.
      - quick videos everyone can understand presented with people in mind that might only see one before they shop.
      - product first approach. Front and center. Most you tubers eventually want to slap their face in tech reviews as they get bored editing similar style videos. Not this guy.
      But besides all that this guy found something he’s passionate about and has created little mini empire around it, including the website and social media presence. Which he probably doesn’t care for but sticks to it. It just all works.
      What have I missed?

    I wish all RUclips channels that talk about a specific thing were like you, they don't have a five hour intro about themselves, they get right to the point and cut any excess fat, they aren't clickbait and never get off topic or arrive at a completely different conclusion separate from the actual content of the video. Just straight up concentrated information in an easy to understand short and sweet video. Perfect. 👍

    One factor that seems to be missed in most reviews is long term durability and repairability. I bought a Deebot 920 back in 2019 and our family has loved it, it has been a game changer for us. Recently our main brush has developed an issue where it will need to be replaced. After scouring the internet I have found that parts for this specific model are very hard to come by. After contacting support, Ecovacs forwarded me to a repair service in the US. Unfortunately, sending the robot to another country is cost prohibitive due to the low price or the part required and initial purchase price. sadly this means I am looking at throwing out a great robot due to a small gearbox that has worn out.

    Another fantastic video. I've purchased a couple robot vacuums from this channel's recommendations. The one thing I've found strange about the 3D True Detect is that it can sometimes struggle with area rugs. I have the N8 Pro, so interested if the T8 has the same issues. It's the same tech, so I'm guessing so, but just curious as to if you've found the 3D True Detect to be flawed at all in your testing.

    have you considered doing a similar test with hair as you do sand to test carpet deep clean? Embed a certain amount of hair into some thick carpet and weigh before and after. The sand is already a great test, but i always see hair still left over in the carpet that has sort of weaved its way into the carpet itself. Just a thought. love the vids!

      Yes I agree. I'd love to see more long human hair tests.
      I'd really like to see a test running the robot vacuum cleaner with the roller brush removed.
      The scenario i had in mind was hard floors with long human hair. the human hair test always seems to be a poor result, with almost all human hair being stuck on the roller brush and never making it into the dustbin.
      i'm wondering if there is enough suction power to extract the dirt and in particular the long hair, with the roller brush removed.

    I picked up an Ozmo U2SE for $64 new, and $10 for 3 year replacement plan, to give my aging and heavily used Neato D85 a break, and economically try out robot vac mopping. It's so quiet, and the unsophisticated mop still does a decent job on my hardwood, while not getting my short pile rugs significantly wet running over them. It repeats cleaning on areas a bit much since it lacks LIDAR to feed its SLAM algorithm, but watching it stop short of running into stuff makes me wonder if it had an ultrasonic sensor up front somewhere? My real budget can go above a thousand but this cheap little guy is making a good showing.

I really love my N8 Pro and it saves me hours and lots of energy....
      One other query, if getting a gift for my Mum is the T8 better than the N8 Pro? seeing as it is ($200 Aust Dollar) cheaper than the N8 Pro and it has a bigger battery and can add the Pro Mopping attachment? Thank you..

      Personally I have no experience with the Ozmo Pro attachment. However the people I talked to (salepeople and maintenance employees from several different Deebot distributors in my country) all told me not to buy it. The main reason is that it vibrates like crazy and lowers the machine's overall durability. The extra cleanliness just isn't worth it.

But I found a ECOVACS DEEBOT T8 AIVI Vacuuming and Mopping Robot with Auto-Empty Station on sale from Costco for 599.99. in your opinion, would you upgrade from the Shark IQ to the ECOVACS DEEBOT T8 AIVI Vacuuming and Mopping Robot with Auto-Empty Station for the price difference?
    Thanks for your help and all your time to make your videos 👌

    Does anyone know if the T8 AIVI ozmo pro mopping tool is worth getting? I am debating between the N8 pro and the T8AIVI but only the T8 models are compatible with the ozmo pro mop. Can anyone weigh in on if the ozmo pro mop is even a factor worth considering or does it not do any better a job than the N8 regular ozmo mop. I have a 1 and 3 year old kid so mopping is a huge feature interest for me as I'm going to need this bot to sweep/mop every night in the kitchen thanks to toddler both liquid and solid debris!

    Thanks, but I have the T8 plus and have tried both n models and found the laser detection on the T8 was more accurate than the N model. That being said It could be down to firmware upgrades between my testing..idk. We bought the T* plus on sale after trying several models from other manufactures, iRobot , Shark, Neato almost stayed with i8 from iRobot but I like the features and build quality of Ecoovacs. Roborock was a no go being they are still rolling out self empty and don't have robot with small, low object detection. BTW got a good deal on my T8 plus from of all places Best Buy?...LOL.

    The N8 Pro actually has much higher suction: 200/600/1500/2300 Pa (Quiet, Standard, Max, Max+) compared to the T9's. 200/600/1200/1500. Considering most people run in Standard, this only likely becomes an difference on carpet.

    I can't choose between the N8 Plus to get the auto empty base or the the T8 AIVI for the camera. In the UK it's almost impossible to buy the clean base separately.
    The T8 AIVI OSMO Pro has the camera, more power and bigger battery and if I got the auto empty base it would be the best of all worlds. But that's almost impossible and it's been on sale in the UK for a year now. (£429 for the N8+ and £449 for the T8 AIVI OSMO Pro on Amazon in the Black Friday Sale)

      I know that the T9 isn't available in the US right now. And yes - some of these will avoid carpet automatically. The N8s and T8 I believe will do that. off the top of my head I cant remember if the other ones will, but I'm sure that info is available.

    • @FireSwordl
      @FireSwordl 2 года назад

      @@VacuumWars I bough T8 and I am very happy with the purchase. Indeed it avoids carpets - I think it relies on the map it has already created. So when mopping it does not touch the carpets at all, if you want them cleaned, you have to run another cycle without mop.

    • @Aaron-wu9ob
      @Aaron-wu9ob 2 года назад

      @@VacuumWars the T9 mop head vibrates and some reviews say its better than the N8 Pro that just drags the mop. I think the N9 has the bigger 180 minute 5200mah battery too but I'm not positive. It also costs around $1k whereas the N8 Pro+ was on Black Friday at Amazon for $498 normally $700

    • @Aaron-wu9ob

      But what I really want to see is a flagship shootout among the irobot S9+ and S7, Deebot N9, Debot N8 Pro+, and Roborock top 2 tiers (S6 S7?). We know the irobot S9 has the best deep clean but isn't it also the most noisy? Is the Deebot N8 Pro/N9 obstacle avoidance better than the irobot S9? Does the 5200mah battery on the irobot N9 last just as long as the 5200mah Deebot S9 battery on a single charge? Maybe the N9 covers more sq footage per charge because it runs quieter? Or maybe the opposite is true because Deebots suck harder (more pascals) than Roombas?

    I hope Ecovacs can fix their app. It's impossible to manually split rooms on my N8 Pro and T8 AIVI because the system will not let you devide a space if your line touches more than one room. Luckily the spot selection is pretty good so I can just box in the space I want the robot to clean on a particular run.

    • @lucasnorman8636
      @lucasnorman8636 2 года назад +4

      I got around this by putting up barriers when I made my map, so it thought there was a wall. Now that the barriers are removed, it travels freely where they were, but still keeps my rooms separated. I wish I could have just done it on the app, but it's finally working for me.

      @@backbonz I do seem to have a smaller space than most robot vac owners, but the N8 Pro and AIVI work great for me. I've beem trying to find the navigation complaints, but I only see a couple. Most complaints seem to be about the self empty bin, which I don't have.
      I probably would have gone Roborock, but the prices are pretty high, especially getting it into Canada.

      @@lucasnorman8636 So would I just block off one room/area per clean job when creating the map? If I have 5 areas/room, I should run a clean job for each individual room/area at a time so that it adds onto the map?

    • @botWi
      @botWi 2 года назад

      @@alexleon8406 If you rooms are separate then you will have no issues. It will detect all rooms and will clean them according to your preferences. The issue comes if you have open floor and you want to split it manually into room areas, the app just does not allow to easily split same room into multiple areas. I like to split it so that I can say 'Alexa, clean around the table' instead of 'Alexa, clean the full room'.
