Met my husband when I was 19. Married him at 21. Raised 2 kids with him. Just celebrated our 27 year anniversary. The last 4 yrs were the toughest our relationship has endured as he lost both of his parents two years apart to cancer. But it’s the love, and our friendship that keeps us strong. We are always open with each other and I couldn’t imagine my life without my partner by my side. So when you know, you know is great and all - but it’s the person who goes through all these challenges by your side and is still holding your hand lifting you up. That’s the true gift 💝

Me and my husband had a long distance relationship for 3 years during covid. Me, living in Italy, and him, in the US. It wasn’t easy but it made us understand how much we wanted to be together. Now it’s been 2 years that finally we live in the same place. The first year that I moved to the US I had lymphoma at 28 and he was my main caregiver. I've been with my now fiancé for 14 years, since high school, and we were long distance for about 10 years! He went to the military and I went off to college. It worked because we did talk ALL THE TIME and when we spent time together, it was 100% quality time. When he was in the military, we only saw each other once or twice a year, which was hard, but definitely agree that it only showed us how much we really wanted to be together. Now, we have been living together for 4 years and it has felt like a reward after being long distance for so long. I always tell people, it will work as long as the love is there and both people are patient and willing to make it work. I feel very blessed that we have grown together over the years and truly feel that the time we spent being long distance made our bond stronger. There's hope! :)

And the reason why there are so many doctors and medical facilities in Houston is that the University of Texas Health Science Center is there, including a medical school.

When I was in the dating scene, there was SOOOO MUCH “what if?” And dating anxiety on where we were at with each other. When I met my man 2 years ago, his intentions were clear and immediately on the same page. He was fully into the relationship from day 1 and I felt comfortable and content straight away. Moved in with him after 3 months, 11 months in we were engaged. We get married next year! When it feels different than the others in a positive way and you’re immediately more content and secure and he’s the biggest support, then he’s an absolute keeper! When I met my now-fiance, the mutual friend who introduced us asked him how it was going and his answer was "it's easy and beautiful" and we still describe it this way. I watched the documentary and threw all of my DC products. 2024... now my hair and scalp are starting to improve. Facebook has several groups regarding hair damage.

My husband and I did long distance for about 5 years 😳 we met in law school and it just worked out we were starting our careers in different cities. He was in Big Law so he had like zero free time. Being long distance he had to actually make time to see me when I visited. If we lived in the same place he would’ve always canceled on me for work. And I’m an introvert who doesn’t like doing things on my own, so I had to grow and become more independent since I couldn’t rely on him for my social network. It was hard but it worked for us at that time.

"Would I be willing to go long distance with them?" was always a huge indicator to me whether it was real love or just a crush. I met my now husband in undergrad when I was 21, we were together for two weeks before we were long distance for 2.5 years (Atlanta/Tokyo/Sydney to Frankfurt, I studied abroad a lot in undergrad, which is how we met in the first place). We'd go 4-10 months without seeing each other in person, and while that sucked, it was 1000% worth it because there was no one else. I'm so happy you found someone with that "absolutely not settling" spark, and you can see each other so much despite technically living so far apart! That's really wonderful and I wish you all the best 🥰

I also have chronic health issues and even though I am older…..your journey inspires me. I could not be happier for you that your found a partner that is effortless. Not that you don’t put effort into it. But that spending your time with them is effortless. Even with my own kids and grandkids it sometimes drains me. But when you find a person that just never messes with your homeostasis it is truly a gift. I have been blessed with a few of those people in my life. 5ere is no anxiety or overthinking. not referred to you, but in general, just a consideration between me and myself: the real problem in the long distance relationships is not "the time you spend apart", but the time you are together: some weeks living in the same house, or even a few months together 24/24 let you not to see how the person really is. All the time you spend writing or dating or talking on the phone from a distance, let the mask stay in place, so to speak. We want always to be perceived in a better way than we are.. so always pay attention on how they / we react to something unexpected, something wrong Idk, with a waiter, some inconvenience, or when there is an argument between the two parts: that's when the mask slips down and you see if there's something concerning

It's funny; my aunt moved closer to our family when I was in middle school and, for a lot of practical reasons, was long-distance with her now-husband for over a decade before they lived together again, and I couldn't name a happier, more stable relationship example from my childhood. Girl, not DevaCurl!! They have (had?) a bad reputation for ruining peoples hair! I’d be very careful with their products. I love making hair cocktails! Right now, I am using Biolage products. I have their smoothing cream, a hydrating leave-in conditioner, the whipped mousse and a curl defining gel! Depending on how I’m feeling, what my plans on and the look I want, I will make a concoction using those products. Some days I use one, sometimes I mix two or three and rarely do I mix all four but that’s usually when I need my hair to make it more than 3 days before washing again! Anyway, those have worked wonders on my curls! If you need the exact names of the products, let me know!
OMG! I had to rewind just to make sure I heard correctly (I was just listening while during other things). Please DON’T put any devacurl products on your hair!! I used their products for maybe 3 years, stopped using them 4 years ago and I’m still dealing with a bunch of scalp issues. Now, thanks to my dermatologist, I have new hair on the bald spots that their shampoo caused and my curl pattern is back. I’m not alone, there’s a massive lawsuit against them and a FB group with more than 50k people that has been affected by their products over the years. I can’t believe that this brand is still on the shelves! 😤

Idk if it’s just me but I never understand when RUclipsrs turn off the AC like I can NEVER hear it and I don’t mind background noise! It stresses me out knowing they are melting quietly in the room 😂
well you cant hear it because we turn it off 😂 if you keep it on, the mic picks it up and there's a low hum or muffled sound :)

Fully agree. We can never hear the little background things they fret about. Houston in June? Girl...keep the A/C on, there's no need to turn that off for us. lol We don't even hear it and if we did, it wouldn't be annoying in the least. Same with in the car, just keep the A/C on.

Met my husband when I was 19. Married him at 21. Raised 2 kids with him. Just celebrated our 27 year anniversary. The last 4 yrs were the toughest our relationship has endured as he lost both of his parents two years apart to cancer. But it’s the love, and our friendship that keeps us strong. We are always open with each other and I couldn’t imagine my life without my partner by my side. So when you know, you know is great and all - but it’s the person who goes through all these challenges by your side and is still holding your hand lifting you up. That’s the true gift 💝

Me and my husband had a long distance relationship for 3 years during covid. Me, living in Italy, and him, in the US. It wasn’t easy but it made us understand how much we wanted to be together. Now it’s been 2 years that finally we live in the same place.
The first year that I moved to the US I had lymphoma at 28 and he was my main caregiver.

I've been with my now fiancé for 14 years, since high school, and we were long distance for about 10 years! He went to the military and I went off to college. It worked because we did talk ALL THE TIME and when we spent time together, it was 100% quality time. When he was in the military, we only saw each other once or twice a year, which was hard, but definitely agree that it only showed us how much we really wanted to be together. Now, we have been living together for 4 years and it has felt like a reward after being long distance for so long. I always tell people, it will work as long as the love is there and both people are patient and willing to make it work. I feel very blessed that we have grown together over the years and truly feel that the time we spent being long distance made our bond stronger. There's hope! :)

I am absolutely obsessed with your love story. Comfortability is the best. That’s how I knew 3 years ago my husband was my person. For migraines out of a whole week I will have 4-5 weekly and very intense. I am in the process of figuring out what I need to do because they’re extremely painful to the point where sometimes I don’t want to leave home. Thankfully I work from home. Thanks for the video, Taylor! I lived in Houston for several years, and if I had to pick between Houston and Las Vegas in June, I'd go with LV because it isn't killer humid!!! And the reason why there are so many doctors and medical facilities in Houston is that the University of Texas Health Science Center is there, including a medical school.

Just be careful. 3/5 guys on dating apps are married or in relationships. I met a guy online and did the long distance thing, he would come stay with me for 1-2 weeks, and we talked EVERYDAY ALL DAY. well turned out he was married and and more. so keep your eyes and ears WIDE open.

When I was in the dating scene, there was SOOOO MUCH “what if?” And dating anxiety on where we were at with each other. When I met my man 2 years ago, his intentions were clear and immediately on the same page. He was fully into the relationship from day 1 and I felt comfortable and content straight away. Moved in with him after 3 months, 11 months in we were engaged. We get married next year!
When it feels different than the others in a positive way and you’re immediately more content and secure and he’s the biggest support, then he’s an absolute keeper! We’re the same age and I’m glad you’re with someone who makes you feel the way my fiancee does to me.

Deva Curl is a product I will never use again. So many lawsuits with the brand, they were recently outed on a beauty documentary. It had taken me 5 years to grow my hair back from hair loss. Please reconsider featuring the products

I watched the documentary and threw all of my DC products. 2024... now my hair and scalp are starting to improve. Facebook has several groups regarding hair damage.

My husband and I did long distance for about 5 years 😳 we met in law school and it just worked out we were starting our careers in different cities. He was in Big Law so he had like zero free time. Being long distance he had to actually make time to see me when I visited. If we lived in the same place he would’ve always canceled on me for work. And I’m an introvert who doesn’t like doing things on my own, so I had to grow and become more independent since I couldn’t rely on him for my social network. It was hard but it worked for us at that time.

"Would I be willing to go long distance with them?" was always a huge indicator to me whether it was real love or just a crush. I met my now husband in undergrad when I was 21, we were together for two weeks before we were long distance for 2.5 years (Atlanta/Tokyo/Sydney to Frankfurt, I studied abroad a lot in undergrad, which is how we met in the first place). We'd go 4-10 months without seeing each other in person, and while that sucked, it was 1000% worth it because there was no one else. I'm so happy you found someone with that "absolutely not settling" spark, and you can see each other so much despite technically living so far apart! That's really wonderful and I wish you all the best 🥰

not referred to you, but in general, just a consideration between me and myself: the real problem in the long distance relationships is not "the time you spend apart", but the time you are together: some weeks living in the same house, or even a few months together 24/24 let you not to see how the person really is. All the time you spend writing or dating or talking on the phone from a distance, let the mask stay in place, so to speak. We want always to be perceived in a better way than we are.. so always pay attention on how they / we react to something unexpected, something wrong Idk, with a waiter, some inconvenience, or when there is an argument between the two parts: that's when the mask slips down and you see if there's something concerning
My husband and I were long distance for years. And I was lucky enough to work two jobs to fly to see him about once a month. We were together through his basic training as well. But till this day we will both just express how lucky we were to meet and how grateful we are for each other 10+ years of marriage later. I’m so happy you guys are so happy. It's funny; my aunt moved closer to our family when I was in middle school and, for a lot of practical reasons, was long-distance with her now-husband for over a decade before they lived together again, and I couldn't name a happier, more stable relationship example from my childhood. Any LDR always depends on the people and the conscious effort made. So exciting that you found a situation that makes you so happy!

I love making hair cocktails! Right now, I am using Biolage products. I have their smoothing cream, a hydrating leave-in conditioner, the whipped mousse and a curl defining gel! Depending on how I’m feeling, what my plans on and the look I want, I will make a concoction using those products. Some days I use one, sometimes I mix two or three and rarely do I mix all four but that’s usually when I need my hair to make it more than 3 days before washing again! Anyway, those have worked wonders on my curls! If you need the exact names of the products, let me know!

I used their products for maybe 3 years, stopped using them 4 years ago and I’m still dealing with a bunch of scalp issues. Now, thanks to my dermatologist, I have new hair on the bald spots that their shampoo caused and my curl pattern is back. I’m not alone, there’s a massive lawsuit against them and a FB group with more than 50k people that has been affected by their products over the years.
