Building an UNSINKABLE Paddle-Powered CARGO CRANE Barge For The HIGH SEAS! (Trailmakers Update DLC)

Hey everyone! The Trailmakers gods have blessed us with a new UPDATE, EXPANSION, DLC, WHATEVER you want to call it...and it's amazing! In this awesome new update we get a large new map, four NEW unique islands, 100+ hidden treasures to collect, secret locations to uncover, stormy weather with PROPER physics, sails, new seat, and much MORE! In this episode I decide to finally start collecting the artifacts around the sea and to do so I built an OVER THE TOP paddle-powered platform that comes with a few surprises like an escape boat and a SHERP! Pro tip: of you are scared of the ocean, go to the edge of the map with a sub and then go right up. It will not be scary at all

Tip for tank steering: if you hook up a dragon engine to say the right side for going forward only, and a bulldawg engine to the left for reverse only, and vice versa, you consistently turn forward, and won't backup randomly
scrapman found a submarine and aircraft worked well for collecting artefacts

(Literally minutes later) first artifact and already tosses a fright container in the sea.
Another simple way to make tank drive is to have three engines: one is connected to all wheels and uses W and S, the second one is left side only and uses A to deaccelerate and D to accelerate, and the opposite for the third engine.
I love how you built the Sherp. And it's pretty close to the right scale!
My question is would longer paddles cause greater propulsion?

Putting a downwards facing thruster on the nose is actually really smart, because when your nose comes out of the water it gets forced down until it hits the water, keeping the boat aligned to the surface of the water.
Watching your videoz is so much fun kosmo your so natural and your reactions. And your laughter inbetween really just makes us who watch chill out and enjoy it with you😁😁

This is one of the best creations i have ever seen in this game
This was a really cool and nice build, looks awesome, kind of a mobile base.
You're going to need to retrofit the boat into a submarine though. Maybe swap to diaphragm and bubble seat. It functions well
The builds are visually so good though.
YOOOO THE SHERP IS AWESOME
Everyone knows the power and performance difference between 1 power core bulldawg engine and 3 power core dragon engine. Just imagine how powerful it would be if they added a 3 core propeller to the game

I think most efficient barge is like a long row of tractor beams on both sides and on top. Than use a separate boat, sub or air lifter to retrieve and than ship across the map.
It seems like all the cockpits are controlling everything else on board the vessel, regardless of which item you are using. You might have to run through programs on the cockpit to prevent that from happening or you would have to sacrifice some pieces for logic to make it work efficiently.
❤️Love the barge. Your builds are always top notch👍👍. 😊Glad to see someone actually use paddle wheels. 🤔 But I wonder how fast it could be? I’m thinking lil more streamlined, like take your Viking paddle boat and replace rows with paddle wheels. Or think Batmobile with paddle wheels. Like the thriller powerboat in Miami, Florida but with paddle wheels on the sides instead. Not to say you can’t strap some jets or propellers on there though 😉. I’ve never seen anyone test the speed record with paddle wheels. 3-4 yrs ago Scrapman tried a single wheel in the back and it was…not good so to speak. You would be the first I’ve ever seen to test it. With the complexity mod you shouldn’t have much trouble streamlining the paddle wheel concept right? 😢 I’ll admit I’ve never played this game, no PC unfortunately, so you would know better than me if anything I’m spouting is good idea or not. But in my mind a two pronged power boat with paddle wheels running the length of both sides and proper aerodynamics feels like the best option? Anyways ssl, keep up the fantastic work my friend. use hover pads and dragon thrusters with 4 gimbals one for each corner, that way you should in theory have a fast mode. flick that on when you want to speed up by lifting out of the water and hovering over the surface, even if part of you submerges all the hull blocks will keep you above the waves and you should be able to easily recover.

its funny it took you that long to notice you was controlling the barge in other vehicles lol, even with your tractor beams turning on and the barge paddles turning :d ;p;

Make a battle ship with two subs on the sides, and the subs have two torpedoes on the sides
@kosmo... if I may, A bit of advice, don't give any Merritt to haters. Don't even acknowledge them. You're always going to be compared to someone else.. just do what you think is right is for you. And indulge those who support you! Yes, scrapman is good but so are you in your own way. Even if you do the same video it'll be different because you both bring differed styles and perspectives.
