- THANK YOU for an amazing first year of We’re All Insane! Over the course of the past year, we’ve heard 50 remarkable stories of resilience and survival. We are so incredibly grateful to our guests for sharing their stories and for our audience for listening to them. We love you all!
This episode is just a brief celebration of the first year of the show with host Devorah Roloff and producer Juliana Winters. We discuss how the show began and where we got our start in the social media space.

I really like the fact that dev still says the best things about Brandon, regardless of a breakup, it really shows how she is mature. The way she expresses her self awareness of needing emotional factor from a relationship is really telling of her inner work, in some ways it’s actually very insightful to hear

I didnt even know that Julie was behind the production omg... The way the podcast is growing is amazing and Im so proud of the overall succes of the concept you guys decided to dive into. People are always interested in listening to real, raw stories and this can keep growing into something even bigger.

My husband found me. I actually decided to not date anymore and be alone, I’m independent anyways. But he messaged me and asked to go to a concert together because he had a spare ticket and I just went to have a nice evening and see the band. Since that day we’ve never spend a weekend apart and we’re together now for 7 years. It’s really easy when it’s the right person. It’s not right when things feel forced.
Awww there’s nothing wrong with wanting a husband. You’ll be an amazing wifey. Also, it’s okay to be insanely picky, because this is the person who you will spend your entire life with.

You have to realise that she's picky because she's looking for the kind of man that will suit her life (social media, gym, creative...etc) and those people exist - maybe you don't know them because you're a traditional person who think OF is wrong, but lots of guys don't.
I find nothing wrong with OF. That said, if I met my future husband, and he wasn't on board, I'd stop doing it. To each their own.
Wow had no idea Nick and Julie broke up. While I don’t watch all the podcasts, I do enjoy the ones I am interested in and like the atopsphere.

It’s been a year??? That is so crazy. This year went so fast. Honestly this podcast is a great idea. Giving a platform to people that have a story to tell, but don’t have much of a following of their own. Congrats Devorah!
From one SW to another, I appreciate so much that you're open about the negativity you get, but you don't let it affect your relationship with your body and doing what you please with it. I feel very similarly and I am happy to hear you are at peace with that.
Devorah I'm mostly a silent watcher but honest to God you are a strong woman :') We're different in many ways but I also adore hearing your perspective on these little rare occasions - hearing snippets of of your life now and your mentality growth feels so precious & I relate to little parts of your thought process so deeply. Honestly the same way you & Julie briefly mentioned that viewers get a chance to learn something from the guests whom we don't necessarily think we can relate to, or understand straight away, is the same way I as a viewer, learn to understand you whenever you talk. So proud of the journey of this podcast through the many changes (which I know could not have been easy to navigate on your own) and I wish you and Julie the best x❤ Feels so comforting hearing you open up again in such a long time, I missed it 💘

I love how open and direct this show is because it feels so freeing and comforting to hear so many different topics that can be dark or not talked about get attention because it sets a standard of having a comfortable environment where people can fully express their thoughts! I love you guys!
1) Julie i love the tears for fears sweatshirt! That’s so dope! And 2) I just wanted to say thank you guys for creating this podcast. I’m a relatively new viewer, only found this podcast like back in July, but i’ve listened to a ton of the episodes and even though i don’t related to everything, i relate heavily to a lot of your guests and it’s so nice to hear their stories. The ones i don’t relate to, it’s so incredible learning other perspectives. It’s really helpful in my real life, I am autistic and sometimes I struggle to think about the perspectives of others, this podcast showed me that everyone is going through their own things and that I really need to be more patient with people because you never know what’s underneath the surface and what they’ve experienced.
Dev I have to say you seem like such an amazing person and I’ve really enjoyed this podcast. I’ve binged the episodes as I just discovered it a few weeks ago. Congrats on 1 year 🎉

I really enjoyed this little tid bit episode. I loved learning the little facts about you and Julie! I think what you do with the platform of your show is really rare. I'm happy that you allow people to just completely take over and share their story. This show really kept me intrigued during my retinal detachment surgery recovery. I could not see for a whole 24 hours or really use my eye much for a few weeks. Your podcast saved me from think about my own misery and it really allowed me to listen to other people's stories and how they overcame their traumas, and it inspired me to stay strong during my recovery. Happy 1 year to We're All Insane! 🎉 Also, we love Julie! Bring her back for another episode 😊 Favorite part in the episode is whe ln Julie said: "Your hair matches your cat, your dog, your house..." 😂

Congrats babes! One year is amazing and I love that you guys came on camera and chatted and improvised when a guest didn’t show up. What a totally graceful and authentic way to respond to something stressful. I also think it really worked out in the end because it was more powerful and special to see the two people who make and are this show, get in front of the camera and just talk about the show and your experience with it. I think that was a great way to celebrate and honor the one year anniversary. Again congrats and I really love this show! I love that you create this safe space for anyone to come share their stories and be free of judgement. And it’s really powerful to give these stories a platform where most of these stories tend to stay in the dark. You guys kinda joke and don’t seem to understand the magnitude of this show, but it really is as great as you hope it is. It’s really important to use your platform for good and I think you’re both doing that by creating a safe platform for people with important yet often stigmatized parts of their life story to share these stories and take the stigma away from these topics that so badly need to be in the light so we can start to repair them. Thanks for doing this it means more then you know. Y’all should def be the next big talk show hosts.

Got married at 21 to my high school sqeetheart. Hes the love of my life, married 3 years and now we’re parting ways after years of knowing we werent compatible in the first place. All of the things you felt about Brandon i felt about my partner. Hes such a great guy,but in the end we really wasted time trying. Basically i am saying i am really proud of you for knowing not to invest more time.

Love your interview style. You really give your guest's an open platform to speak, which is refreshing. You style reminds me a lot of Mark Latia from Soft White Underbelly.
It's really nice to see you girls together because I also identify with the both of you due to like my own bad circumstances and being eccentric. And we all go through a growth like every ten years and now I'm turning 34 next month it seems easier to manage your life and all of it with a peace of mind. I'm also very particular I am ready to settle down with some lady and just we both individually have passions and dreams and living together with our kids and our dogs and our cats .... But you know what I mean? Currently I am single but I don't care if I have anyone because it's really not a obligation for me to be with anybody and if I feel like I have a connection with someone Oh I will know and see where it goes. I truly appreciate you and Julie for making a incredible podcast together and I always think things do happen for a reason and this is your Ultimate calling and I called it earlier :p Very happy for both of you.

The vibe that I get with Brandon is that he's pretty divorced from his emotions. Kennedy and Claudia have joked about him being a robot and there's some truth to that. What Dev is saying here is pretty indicative of that as well. Maybe Brandon will be different with someone who's right for him, but I'm really glad Dev realized that she need a guy who was emotionally available and got herself out.
