Ashlynne Eaton expires foods in the pantry, lol you mentioned it as your first thing. Also dishes/cooking pans/etc... we just bought a brand new cast iron set.
We're having a new under stair cupboard installed, as it has been previously open plan. And we shall be going through everything that is under there and figure out what we will be leaving under there, e.g. summer shoes, as I want to make everything that remains as easy to access as possible.
I am a year and a half into decluttering my entire home. Holy crap I was opening boxes from college, from my first apartment, first Christmas tree and decorations and all in between. Almost done but am still in crazy messy mode of open boxes, boxes to goodwill, giveaway online, on passing on. Can’t wait to see it finally be finished. Whoop whoop.
Always a great type of video. I live your "x things to declutter". It's crazy there are ALWAYS so many things you can declutter, no matter how many times you have decluttered already. It's like any other skill you develop, the more you do something the better you get at it. :)
I just went through everything I own and decluttered sooo much. I got rid of a little bit of everything and it feels so amazing! I'm hoping to move by next year, so the less I have the better!!
I'm finally tackling my shed/garage! Over a year into my decluttering journey and while I have let go of an enormous quantity (almost an entire household in itself 😳). I still have a long way to go and my shed is where I store all the things that I have previously not been able to let go of quite yet so it's been challenging and only a few sporadic efforts have been made in this area. I have actually been focusing on getting projects that I have been meaning to get around to (some for years 😳😳) finished and have found that decluttering is a natural part of this process.
Just watched one of your videos from about three years ago, and you have gain so much confidence! Really cool to see how you have changed into a really cool and confident person 😁
I just decluttered a bottle of face soap that’s too drying on my skin a few days ago as well as a couple shirts that no longer feel like me. Thanks for sharing the inspiration, Ashlynne! 😊
Life's been crazy lately but I definitely have a dead houseplant I need to declutter...guess I'll go do it now. I am about to start over in my kitchen.
Great tips,I need to check the date on our sun screen. It tickles me that I'm watching a what to declutter this Autumn video while it's snowing outside where I live, I think we might have skipped Autumn and went straight to winter 😅
Great video! Personally I like to declutter at the beginning of each season. I look both forward and backward. So for the fall I am decluttering anything I didn’t wear/enjoy in the summer, and also as I unpack items for the fall (clothing, decor, etc) anything I don’t know why I own/know I won’t use gets decluttered. For non-seasonal items I (without trying) find myself in a declutter mood a few times a year and go thru those.
i would actually wait to declutter before the beginning of an upcoming season- that way it's more likely that the thrift store will be able to sell those items
I just decluttered clothing that I’m planning to wear this fall season. I also got rid of a pair of old flip flops that were not comfortable anymore :)
🧡 Seasonal declutter 🍁🧦I had a sunscreen I was contemplating using just as a moisturiser, but I'm not keen on it, so I tried it again just now and I don't like it on my skin! So going to declutter now, thanks for helping me make the decision. TFS.
Actually doing the minimalism game now, but the other way round (31, 30, 29), found out it is easier for me this way. Until now books, worn out clothes, gifted craft stuff I do not now what to do with and some random stuff I wonder I had not decluttered yet. Also decluttered the pantry last month, but because we had a infestation. Do not know if you have them in the USA, too. You buy them with dried food like beans, porridge etc. and they take over your whole pantry, so I had to threw everything away I did not store in glass containers. Do not know their English name. In Germany you call them Lebensmittelmotten. Also live in our Guinea pig strew and that’s the main problem :(
In the US they are called "moths". I've never seen them in food but a lot of times we find them in our closets and they eat holes in out clothes. I keep "moth balls or bars" in mg closet to keep them out.
Hey Ashlynne, I’ve been loving your videos. Thanks for all the inspiration. I just decluttered some swim suits that are too big for me and one really cute one piece that unfortunately had some ink stains on it that wouldn’t come out.
i've recently decluttered bunch of litle papers and notes that i didn't even know i had in my room + old nailpolish that i had for almost 10 years i guess 😅
I am upset at how common "sensical" these tips are... Now I have NO excuse not to finish decluttering. 😣 Lol. So glad I found your channel through Abundantly Minimal!
The recommendation to declutter summer items now (in the fall) doesn't make sense to me as there is no where to 'declutter' it . None of the donation centres or thrift stores have been taking any summer clothes ,shoes or even summer decor items for a couple of months now. I am not going to just throw them out in the trash, so I actually do hold on to them so I can either sell them or donate them in the spring. It's not ideal, but better than throwing it in the garbage and I do consign my clothes because they are very good and I get some money back. So it's worth it to hold on to them for a few more months. Both economically and environmentally.
What’s one thing you’ve decluttered this fall or plan to declutter? 🍂
Ashlynne Eaton expires foods in the pantry, lol you mentioned it as your first thing. Also dishes/cooking pans/etc... we just bought a brand new cast iron set.
Outgrown clothes and toys. We were able to get an old broken sleeper sofa out of our house is August!
Fall decorations
A handbag, briefcase style, that stopped serving its purpose!

Amber Nevin no, i think they’re called needs or something, they don’t have wings and eat grains needles maybe?
