@@Efeamuge Because kicks holds low frequency information the wave length of each kick are longer. Look at the visual difference between a hi-hat and a kick. The wave length of the hi-hat is more cramped while the kick is longer. Great! Now here is the thing! A sound wave of any sample you put into your DAW has a positive value (the part of the wave that goes up) and a negative value (the part of the wave that goes down). If you layer two kicks where the value of the each kick are opposite of each other the positive and negative values will cancel each other out and therefor the punch will disappear. Here is a simple and great way to understand this better. Take a Kick into your DAW. Take the same kick and layer it with itself. Flip the polarity of one of the kicks. In FL studio there's an option that says "REVERSE POLARITY". If done correctly you will have cancelled the Kick with itself and no sound should come out of your DAW. Respond if this was informative!
thank you! I didn't really use much of the techniques you showed, but this video still inspired me. I just wrote one of my weirdest and coolest demos, and now I'm talking with my friend about putting it on his album
Wow, thank you so much! I really appreciate your kind words. We love playing Resistanz, which is run by great people. Next time, definitely come up and say hi.
He's one of the best promoters I've worked with, and we have remained friends through the years. I just signed my divorce papers with his gift from last year.
Navie fam can you do a tutorial on how to capture that bodyguard and ghost of ranking dread melodic/experimental boom bap sound that jpeg does? I love when he goes melodic and have a hard time nailing that kind of sound.
Yeah I sort of hoped for something along the lines of Techno Animal myself. Brotherhood of the Bomb has so much fun shit in it sound design-wise, loving that record.

what effects did you use on the accoustic drum pattern they sound different after you programmed them as opposed to when you just selected them to use. did u put any tape effects on the drums to make them sound like that? they sound softer and fuzzier
Can you do a tutorial on Mckinley Dixon style of instrumentals/production (I am aware he's very small roght now but he is phenomenal with his lyrics and production) thank you so much
@@prod.lanista he's great, to me it doesn't sound like he is THAT meticulous tho, but either way I think Death Grips production is superior and more on the industrial side, that's all

Dude, your drum patterns/rhythms always end up sounding so complete. The drums sounded good even without the rest of the song.

try searching "throbbing gristle" and then get back to us about "industrial"
