How Does Muscle Grow (Animation)

  • Lifting weights causes your body to transform as a result of small muscular tears, which can cause discomfort while the muscle repairs and rebuilds. Intense lifting causes tiny tears to occur in muscle fibers and connective tissue. With adequate rest and nutrition, the muscles gradually regenerate over the next several days, but complete recovery might take a week or more. Muscle growth, strength, and capacity all increase when the body rebuilds its muscles. #Shorts

So many people still believe the research from the 90’s about muscle damage for some reason. Mechanical tension causes myofilaments in sarcomeres to multiply which eventually ends up in the muscles being bigger and stronger.
Muscle damage on the other hand can work against hypertrophy.
