    No mention of the director, no mention of the actress who plays Cleopatra... weird.

      Charlton Heston himself directed it.

      The actress was Hildegarde Neil, and I don't know what happened to her either. 😕

      @@Milordvega His directing is no worse than that of many who plaster their name all over the screen. As for her, my god, what a beauty. Hollywood is a game of Russian roulette, I guess.

      Yes, it was a Labour of Love to make (t)his Movie come through. Its actually quit good if you take it as "filmed Play", not as something like Ben-Hur, El Cid or Cleopatra with Elizabeth Taylor. It was limited by a low Budget and Heston even had to fight for geting unused Footage of the Sea Battle from Ben-Hur.

    OMG this is sooooooo bad!!! What were they all thinking? That first full front shot of Charlton Heston is just totally LOL hilarious. What is with his teeth? Oh no why did he think he could possibly do Shakespeare?

    Looks absolutely awful, but the john scott score is magnificent, far better than the movie deserved, which was usually the case for most of Scott's works

      @Legion by all accounts it was a bad movie, why are you so childish about it? did you take part in the movie?

    • @juanaltredo2974
      @juanaltredo2974 3 года назад +1

      @Legion nah, it doesn't appeal to me and I'm usually a pretty good judge of what I'm going to like. More so if someone like you liked it, and you can quote me again on that. However, the music is superb, something you failed to mention. not that surprising though given your capacity for "reasoning" or "assessing" a work of art, or anything for that matter. If someone who I can respect intellectually comes to me and says it's a good movie perhaps, only perhaps, I'll watch it. Have a good one

      @Legion you on the other hand are an imbecile, and what's worst, a boring imbecile who lacks any brains to make insightful or interesting comments. Like I said go back to your miserable life, you no-mark. Have a good one though.

      @@juanaltredo2974 " If someone who I can respect intellectually comes to me and says it's a good movie perhaps"
      People who talk like this are pretentious snobs who think making up a lot of words makes them sound smarter than they actually are. I've just watched this film and it was a fine flick with good performances that is nowhere near as bad as you are pretending it is. Hell, what did you actually give as a reason for why it is bad? all you did was just say it is and leave it at that, if you have the gull to question whether someone needs to be "respected intellectually" than maybe act respectfully intellectual yourself instead of just saying something is bad without any explanation other than to be a snide twat.
