I worked on the trail crew in 2009 that built that section of trail with the walk through tree tunnel. I literally was one of the few who carved it out. It was one of the coolest experiences of my life. I got super giddy seeing how excited you were about it. It made my day and made me think about a bunch of old friends and fun memories.
Love visiting the park, but it is completely impossible to capture its majesty. One of those places you simply must experience to truly appreciate. Great video and tips.
Love, love, love this area!! Spent way too much time there when I was driving back to Washington State about three or four years ago but it was worth every second!! Thanks for the memories.....
Josh and Amy that was another fantastic video that place looks awesome I will have to put that definitely on my bucket list along with the last place you went to Fraser something🙏😁✌️
I've been to the Redwoods a couple of times, but I've not been on this trail. Not seeing other people on the trail is very appealing to me. Thanks for sharing this area of the park. Good job! ~Lucy
New here. Beautiful place. When I was very young we use to come to Ca. on Route 66. Once we went to Morro Rock and back then in the 50's people where allowed on it and could go all the way to the top. The clouds are low and you seem so high up. It was so thrilling, also wet and slippery. I do not know the reason they closed it. Maybe to dangerous for the people or the rock itself.
I'm guessing you've been to Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park? I can't believe I was so close and didn't get to the place in this video. My time at Prairie Creek was pretty packed with adventures though.
Oh wow, you have to get a gate code and permit for entry. Didn't know that. ;p I prefer to do my uphill hiking first when possible, but the trail looks beautiful!!! Haha, obsessed with the walk through tree. I can see why :) Oooh, yeah I love moss. Amy is right....the tree isn't walking ;D
Redwood creek next to the groove. Is the only area in redwood NP that disperse camping allowed. You may backpack in, and camp overnight along the creek. This would explain why cars were at the trail head ahead of you, and you did not see folks on the trail. Those cars were visitors with backcountry camping permits at a dispersed site up, or down creek.
Does the access rode get very narrow? Just asking cause I got my permit but I noticed the first sign says no longer than 21ft and then my permit says no longer than 24ft so I am curious as to how bad the rode gets and are there very sharp turns?
I believe the biggest tree in the world title belongs to the General Sherman, closer to King's Canyon national park. Biggest, oldest, tallest, heaviest. Also if you haven't been to Calaveras Big Trees park in norcal, make sure to go there. Sequoias are great, but I will always have a soft spot for the redwoods and ferns. Grew up with a Redwood outside my bedroom window and ferns in the back yard. I wish they grew in other states
Tallest Tree in the world is Hyperion, a coastal Redwood in the Redwood National Forest in CA. It’s close to the loop trail featured in this video but you have to wander off the path to get to it.
I love San Clemente, the bike path along the beach is great and it is just a fun beach community with good food and a laid back vibe, for Southern California at least.

Wow that is so cool! It was such a huge highlight for us!
I miss my home ! Sweet California....nothing like that fresh air in there !! 🌲 🌞 love hiking !! Enjoy 😊

I agree I like the second part just as much as the first I love all the ferns! That walk through tree is really cool
Ferns and Redwood trees go together like peas and carrots
Cool place, looks peaceful. I also liked the "walking tree".
haha, yea I thought it was funny too
The ferns below the Redwoods - so pretty! What a great trail - LOVE that they limit the number of hikers each day.
Thanks for the great info. Will have to check it out.
Amazing hike. Hopefully I'll get to do it one day. Thanks for posting the video.
That’s just fabulous 👌 thanks for sharing 👏👏
Thank you from Algeria I love your videos continu 👍
Thanks for watching them!

Great video, Hyperion the tallest coastal Redwood is close to the loop trail but not inside the zone. Have to venture off the path to find it.
Well done, thank you.
It looks like the forest moon of Endor, LOL. Thank you Josh and Amy !
They filmed that in Northern CAlifornia, makes sense.

In Russia we have many beautiful nature places, but don't have no one such area like this.
Thank You for this! Your videos have been extremely helpful to my planning of family hiking trips :)
Great hike! That walk thru tree is awesome. I wish we had that here in Indiana.
Great job. Keep sharing!
I follow you every where you go
beautiful place, great video

I don't know much about Morre Rock but Strawberry Rock is on private land owned by the Yurok tribe. It used to have public access too, but no more

Nice videos California... 👌👌👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌
Three questions: do all of the trails require a key?
Also, do you have to pay for each one?
Is this worth visiting over Lady Bird Johnson?
So how tall are they? Loved this! Thanks Amy and Josh. Well done! Thanks Rox
About as tall as skyscrapers, average.

Hey, whens the next Halloween House Lighting Shows? Sick video btw. Pretty cool scene!
When did you film this? I think I saw my car in the parking lot!
You guys really need to come back here to this trail and find Hyperion, the tallest tree in the world.
Yes Hyperion is just off the loop trail, have to go off the beaten path to find it.
I plan on coming here w my pan!

Glad you found the best of the best, Josh, the Tall Trees Grove. For more tips, check out: redwoodcoastparks.com/redwood-national-park
Wow. I was just at your site earlier this morning looking things to do in san Clemente. Just saw this video
I love San Clemente, the bike path along the beach is great and it is just a fun beach community with good food and a laid back vibe, for Southern California at least.
Excellent thanks
👍👍👍👍👍
Are dogs allowed on this trail?
#TeamTrees
It looks to me like doing this trail takes between 1 hour and 1 hour 20 minutes.
Nice hike. Ever do Muir Woods?
Not just to look at .trees in jungle there's much more going on if you if you can what you cal feeling
Talking about permits, It’s illegal to film and make money off of the national parks without a much more difficult permit to obtain. Just fyi
guy is dating the hottest girl in the grove!
Amazing! Great video! Keep going bro!!
